"Hm?" Erica blinked, tilting her head questioningly. She looked thoughtful for a moment; before she shrugged casually. "No. Not really." She answered honestly. "I tried one once. It didn't taste that great. Nothing at all like chocolate, despite its looks." It was kind of sad that she was being truthful, of course she had been younger when she had chosen to take a bite out of a mud pie. Her uncle had been quite upset with her for eating it. The lecture he had given her was completely unnecessary though, she wouldn't eat something so unyummy again. She wasn't stupid. Wait... Was unyummy even a word? Her face scrunched up as she searched the dictionary in her head. Nope, no entry for unyummy. So, she mentally added it. There, now it was officially a real word.

Smiling in contentment at the new edition to her ever increasing vocabulary, Eric slightly shook her head. Returning to reality, she heard Zed say something about poison. Heh, he was funny. It was mud and worms, not poison. Then again; he could have just said it that way for dramatic effect.

Looking at the dark haired lady, the boy wannabe waited expectantly for her to make her decision. Her lips forming a large gleeful grin as she choose the chicken dance. "Yes!" She cheered, pumping her fist. She had wanted her to pick that option, Eric got to work on her aim on top of having fun already. What a great day this was turning out to be! "I guess we need to actually make us some mud pies, huh?" She questioned looking up and Zedekiah with a pleasant smile. The honey haired teen made a move to crouch down, only to pause halfway at the sound of something cracking. She had also felt something underneath her shoe covered foot, so she lifted the said foot up. She blinked, twice, at the sight that awaited her as she gazed under. Laughing nervously, she looked back to Zed. "Say, uh... The glasses..." She gave another shaky laugh. "They have both lenses in, right?"

"Righto! ... Reckon I'll jus' let you take care 'a that, Muscle Man." Zedekiah said, pressing his heels to the horse and, after moving the reins a little, actually got the white mare to back up a step or two. Kayla would have been rather impressed, had she been able to see, because getting a horse to back up was usually not such an easy thing to do. Well, rather a moot point at the moment, considering she couldn't see.

Also hearing the crack, made Zed pause. He also suddenly got a little bit nervous, and hearing the boy wannabe speak, he slid his hand into the pocket with the glasses, to retrive them just to be sure. "Say, uh... The glasses... They have both lenses in, right?"
<br><br>
"Uh, well I thought so..." He said quietly, looking down at them. Turning it this way and that, he noticed a glint of light reflecting off the one lens still there, but...the other... He gulped, and put his fingers right through the frame. It wasn't there. And he had heard a crack. "...Uh-oh." He muttered, staring down at the glasses, unsure as to what to do now. Not having heard anything further, but hearing some murmuring going on over there, Kayla spoke up.
<br><br>
"What's going on over there?" She asked, raising her voice slightly to be sure that she was heard. Zedekiah startled a little, nearly dropping the glasses but managing to save it at the last moment; not that it'd really matter, considering one lens was out...well. Sitting up straight as possible in the saddle, he looked on innocently as he replied, a little too quickly,

Eric cringed as she watched Zed poke a finger through one of the holes of the glasses, seeing that it didn't hit anything she hissed as though she had burned herself. "Shoot." She muttered, her brows creasing. Slowly she picked up the pieces of the cracked lens that she had accidentally stepped on. Frowning as she observed the damage. It was now in six pieces; all varying in size. She offhandedly tried to stick them back together. Seeing that the pieces refused to stick she gave a grimace. "What... What should we do now?" She asked in a slightly panicked whisper; holding her hands up to Zed to show him the damage.

She shot the woman a quick glance. "I bet she'll be pretty angry when she finds out..." Eric bit her lip. looking increasingly worried. Her eyes suddenly widened. "But, you know," She started with a note of relief in her tone. "She can't do anything to us if we're not here, right?" Her face brightened. "And not being able to see properly would make for poor chasing abilities." Her expression clouded with guilt. "I mean, we can always pay her back later, right? After she's calmed down." Eric looked from the lady back to Zed, absently running a hand through her tussled hair as she fought down a sudden rush of frustration. It was not any fun to feel responsible for breaking things. Especially things that people actually needed. And Eric was certainly no fan of anything not fun.

"Right. ... We'll give these back first, then high-tail it outta here. An, uh...pay her back later, yup." Zed said with a nervous nod, nudging the horse with his heels and bringing it over towards Kayla. She blinked up at the moving white-ish-tan blob, wondering what was going on now. Hopping off the horse, Zed cleared his throat, holding the damaged glasses in one hand, behind his back.
<br><br>
"For insurance purposes, ma'am, we must know your name and if you live on the island. ... Well?" Zed asked, not giving her much time at all to respond.
<br><br>
"Insurance for what?" Kayla asked, shifting her wait from one foot to the other as she squinted down at the much smaller man. Zed's face scrunched up, and he shook his head.
<br><br>
"That will be discussed later! Your name, please." He said again, adding the last word as more of an after thought. Kayla sighed and finally, shrugged.
<Br><br>
"Kayla Tanner." Smiling, Zed nodded.
<br><br>
"Good, Miss Tanner. ... And you live on the island?" Seeing her nod, he quickly continued, thrusting her glasses into her hand. "Our business is now done with, we shall be gettin' in touch at a later time, for uh...payin' you back." He said, backing up as he spoke, then, turning on his heel, he jogged over to Eric and, quickling laying a hand on her shoulder, he gestured that it was time for them to run. And he proceeded to do so.
<br><br>
It took Kayla a moment to realize what he had pressed into her hands, but when she unfolded them and put them up to her face, her expression turned into one of great anger. Putting them on, she blinked quite oddly. Growling much like her brother would, she stepped forward, still not able to see real well, and shouted,
<br><br>
"Get back here, you - you thieving cowards!"
<br><br>
However, Zedekiah just continued running. He knew by now, not to deal with a woman scorned. He'd pay her later for repairs, though, some how or another.
