counting all different ideas drifting away past and present, they don't matter tag: yasumi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Did... Did the man just flinch? He was staring down at her hand as if it were holding a poisonous snake. She had the feeling that if looks could kill, her hand would be a withered mass lying upon the frilly table below her. Once more, she worried the inside of her cheek as she withdrew her hand, a slight heat rising to her cheeks. Her eyes flicked up to his face, and seeing his jaw clenched tightly did not help her in the slightest. Had being a few minutes late really been that terrible? She had already apologized, and there was really nothing else she could do... Biting back a weary sigh, she simply nodded as he said it was fine and sat down. She stood still a moment, glancing behind her at the refreshment table. She wasn't terribly hungry, though a few moments away from this chilly being would allow her to gather her wits. She stayed in place for another moment or so, seeing if he would say anything else. Her presumption was correct when he said he had been late as well. "Oh..." she murmured, returning the nod. Another moment passed by, and she cleared her throat lightly. "I'll be right back. I'm feeling slightly peckish." She stepped aside, pushed the chair back, and stepped quickly to the table in the middle. She picked up a small plate, glancing at the delicate looking cookies. She stepped around to the other side of the table, glancing at Yasumi through her lashes. He looked so intimidating. Had he signed up willfully for this date? He really just didn't see the type. Perhaps he had a sister who was worried about his love life? Regardless, she doubted he really wanted to be here. Quickly, she picked up two cookies then traveled back to the table. Sitting down quietly, she set the small plate in front of her. She glanced up at her date, attempting another smile. "It seems the decorators went a tad bit overboard." . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . dress shoes jewelry |

Tag: Dark KyMee had spent all morning dealing with her sick dog, Kasch. In the past week his energy level decreased immensely, his food bowl was hardly touched, and his curiosity level of every sound to bark at said goodbye to him. Worried sick KyMee headed to the one and only place she knew of- The hospital. Thanks to their expertise in human anatomy and a lack in animal anatomy she went away with little knowledge to what could possibly be wrong with poor Kasch. Just two days ago KyMee found herself trying to reach the Valentines date service she had signed up for, to cancel. Luckily for her date she did not get a hold of them, and was informed the day before of a animal hospital. Kasch all set, KyMee’s worries pushed aside she was now pushing the café doors open wide making her entrance. Her feet were covered up in black and white sandals which weren’t very comfortable- she made a note to get a few more pairs of shoes for these things. Her legs were captured in white leggings that clung to her and made her feel uncomfortable to their closeness. Last, but not least her torso was flooded with a tight fitting long sleeved white and different shades of brown mini dress. Too uncomfortable to sport it with bare legs, she’d gladly thrown on the white leggings, knowing it was the best choice for the new style she was wearing today. Glancing around at the tables filled with people she’d never seen before, her tiny crystal blue eyes landed on the few tables unoccupied or with a single man, and made her way to them. Glancing here, or there at the name tags she’d began to wonder why she had done this, what her real decision to thrown herself into situations she’d normally not be in was? In what state of mind was she when writing her name down for this, fully knowing she’d have to leave that drawing pad at home? Oh well. It was too late for that now, especially since her heart jumped at the site of her name on the top of a card, and a man sitting at the table already. What luck, she’d been late thanks to caring to her sick dog, and the man (who she always heard stories of being late) wasn’t. Great going. Least I have a justifiable reason… Clearing her throat rather loudly, KyMee’s form easily set into the chair across from her date. “Hello,” she began, taking in the man’s appearance and was thankful he didn’t scare her “as you must have guessed I am KyMee,” Quickly flashing a gentle smile, her hand raised to reach across the table “and I believe we have a date to get started.” |

KyMee’s lips lifted from the gentle smile, to a smirk and her eyes preoccupied themselves from his face casually working their way to the texture look of the table. “KyMee indeed is a unique name, and while I could talk about what meaning it brings to myself other than beauty I’m more curious how Dark, fits with you?” The smirk widened, her eyes working their way to that face she had seemed to already memorize- where was her sketch pad? Her sketching gears were cranking, fingers almost twitching once she realized she made herself leave the pad and pencil at home. Food. She needed to distract herself from the want to draw this means features, because that would kill her before the date was over. Dark, did not deserve a dead body to be blamed for; especially on a first date. “I don’t want any dark magic, or potions on my food, maybe we can go together? Anyways, I didn’t have a time to see what food is out for tonight.” A quick chuckle escaped from between her lips, and her feet moved her into the air so she could start making her way toward the table. She would walk slowly until Dark got up to walk beside her. It was obvious he would, since he had ever so generously offered to already get up and walk over to get her a plate. Fingers still twitching, she quickly tried to bring the plates into focus as they neared the tables- she needed something in her hands to occupy them. “Oh. Thank you for offering to get me a plate, Dark.” Rach's Notes: x] Personally I really liked it. No lie. |

Laughing at his talk about not killing beautiful woman, KyMee could only respond by shaking her head. After all the time of being nervous to go on a date with someone she'd never met, he wasn't half bad. Not half bad at all. "Thanks." She said taking the plate, and easily setting it down on another pile grabbing a different plate from the pile next to it. "Sorry, have to be careful." Grinning once more, her feet shuffled her around the table. As her feet shuffled her around she found a few gross looking items, and somethings she could probably stand digesting for the night over the conversations she would find herself engaged in with Dark, later. Half of her plate was full of junk food, while the other half had some various heart shaped foods and others that had been turned pink. KyMee couldn't be for certain, but something behind her on the table looked like pink scrambled eggs. Making sure she had her drink, and food she found Dark giving him a quick nod to assure him she was finished filling her plate. "If you don't mind I am going to head back to the table. Meet me there once you're done." At the table, KyMee set her plate down, and picked up her fork poking at everything on her plate to make sure it wouldn't get up and run away. |

"Well it's very nice to meet you both." said Silver as he watched Sea observe its surroundings. Silver could smell the food right in the middle of the room calling out to everyone within smelling distance. it was smelling pretty good right about now. "So do you and Sea go every where together?" inquired Silver ignoring the food and turning his attention to Rack and Sea. |

She could wait a few more minutes for her date to show up. Her heart began to pound when a man soon approached her table and stopped. She lowered her eyes, a little shy to see if this man who arrived was her date. <br><br> Is he.. Ulysses? She knew it had to be, since the name card made it clear who the chair was intended for. Slowly, Aspen looked up to find that the man was smiling at her. His warm smile set her at ease, and she almost couldn’t take her gaze away from his lively blue eyes. His shirt was the same color, so it was hard not to notice. Overall, she got a good impression of him. Hmm, maybe this date will be fun, after all, she thought with relief. Her curiosity was piqued by something that he held behind his back, and almost as soon as she began to wonder what it was, he presented her with a bouquet of yellow roses. Dundundun.. ta-da! Thank you so much, she communicated through her joyful expression, and bowed. <br><br>She regretted not being able to hear what he’d said to her. But she could read lips well enough to pick out a few words, and she shook her head in reply. Besides, having a little bit of patience was well worth it, as she’d just found out after meeting him. <br><br>Aspen realized that she was still clutching the bouquet of roses, not wanting to let the beautiful flowers get away from her sight. There were flowers on her dress, and now she had real ones as well. She placed them on the table and presented Ulysses with the box of chocolates she’d been saving for him. It was a good thing she had prepared something to give to him, too. She hoped he liked chocolates. There would be a lot more of it today, if the buffet table was any indication. <br><br>Not a single word had left her lips since the introduction. With a small tinge of dread, Aspen knew it was only a matter of time before she had to let Ulysses know that this date would be a little.. different. Her smile faded, but not enough to dampen her expression. tag :: chou [ooc;; sorry for the lateness and poor quality of this post... x_x;;] Okay... maybe... breathing exercises might help...? Jacob sat up a little straighter, and slowly began to both inhale and exhale deeply. His lids fell slightly as he crammed calming, soothing thoughts into his head. Calm blue oceans... kittens playing with string... a peaceful lake... Er... I feel really stupid. Giving up on the breathing and the thoughts, the man sat back in his chair and sighed, shaking his head a little bit. All right, perhaps he was simply overreacting. Surely something as simple as a little date wouldn't require so much damn mental preparation. It wasn't like he was killing someone, it was just... talking to a nice girl for a while. Giving her a nice time. Simple, peaceful things. Surely anyone could accomplish it, if enough effort was put into it. ... But then, why did they sound like they would be so difficult for him to do? Talking, sitting here on a date... although it was a horrible thing to say, Jacob would have an easier time preparing to kill someone than doing this. However, as soon as the thought entered his brain, he smacked a hand to his forehead, covering his brow and eyes partially. This... he would really have to work hard at this. Devise some sort of plan, anything. For starters, it seemed wisest to come up with the first thing he would most likely need: an escape plan. So, perhaps he would pretend he had to take care of his sick little sister. Right, and then he would give a profound and sincere apology before... Actually, before the man could get much further into his planning, he noticed a girl walk by, giving him an uneasy smile as she went by. But it was not a moment after she did this that she apparently looked at one of the namecards and promptly tripped. Frowning, Jacob instinctively rose to his feet and stepped forward to assist her. But fortunately the young lady caught herself on the table. However, he could not help but feel a bit worried - that was an odd fall, was... she okay? Did she need some kind of... help? As a result of his worry, the expression on his face tensed but he slowly lowered himself back into his seat anyway since it did seem like she was fine. The man kept his gaze on her, not really realizing he was glaring, as she took the seat across from him. The reason for her tripping soon became apparent as she introduced herself, wide-eyed, as Chou. A-Ah. So, this was his... date. Huh. The man gave a single, slow nod, almost as if he had trouble comprehending. Regardless, he shortly introduced himself: "Jacob." ... Right. So. Now then. Er, he actually wasn't really sure what he should do now. So perhaps because of this, he found himself studying the girl. She seemed to be of a unique sort: it was odd to see a Japanese person with such light hair and eyes, at least ones that appeared to be natural. Perhaps she was mixed? I-In any case, sh-she... was, admittedly, pretty, er... rather... c-cute. The man frowned a little as this thought entered his mind. He felt a little uneasy thinking it, but he couldn't really help it. She seemed like the sweet, perhaps innocent type which was - for him - always refreshing to meet. And, th-the way she'd tripped sort of added to the cuteness, too. Not to mention the pink shirt, pigtails, and so forth. Though this made him feel all the more anxious, as she also seemed to be a little frightened of him. Which wasn't good. But now, suddenly, these thoughts were feeling really quite creepy now. Time to stop. Jacob looked away from her, folding his arms across his chest. Say something, he told himself. But... what...? Well. He supposed it was only polite to ask, "You all right?" |
