Fred chuckled, a bit amused by how focused Jim was. "Wow, even a bit tipsy you're a pretty good dancer. I'd spin and dip ya, but I don't want you to get sick again." He was pretty impressed; Jim was a better drunk than he was. Hopefully it would be a while before the kid drank, seeing as how it didn't take much to pull him over the edge. He let his eye wander as he danced. "I'm assuming you date doesn't mind terribly that I've stolen her man for the moment?" ~*~ As soon as Melody saw Claude look her way and wave, the evening was back to it's splendor. He took time....to notice me. Even if it was a simple wave, it was a big deal to Melody. She could bear to stay there a bit longer, even if he remained focused on his date for the night. Preston walked over to his sister with two cups of punch. "Hey Mel!...hm? Why are you so red? And you're all...smiley." "Oh?....it's....it's nothing." |

Fred was a bit surprised as Jim leaned his head on his chest. "Um...er....Jimbo?" It was one thing to dance normally, but this close...it was weird, wasn't it? He looked down, gently trying to lean the teen back up straight. "Hey...if you're tired, we can sit down...Jimbo?" |

Jim managed to mumble gently. Still leaning against Fredrick's chest, he glanced up into the older male's eye and smiled warmly before looking away. Maybe it was the beer? That's probably it. He didn't even stop to consider the fact that he felt so at ease in that moment that it could make it tired. Oh well, that didn't matter right now. He just wanted to focus on how much fun this festival had been. Truthfully, Jim never wanted it to end but he knew they'd have to finish it eventually. Everyone couldn't dance all night; as much as Jim would like to.

I just hope my parents won't...find out about this. By this, Jim was referring to the accidental drink he took. He had a feeling that his dad would flip. And his mother? The teen groaned inwardly, locking those thoughts away. No, he just needed to focus on the now. He'd deal with all that junk when it came around. He wanted to enjoy this night the best he could.

[/dohtml] |

"You'll be passed out in a few minutes, Jimbo." Sighing with a smile, he scooped Jim into his arms; it was easier than having Jim stumble his way back to the tables. "We'll finish dancing when there's no threat of you puking or passing out on me." Chuckling he carried the young man back to the table. Setting him down gently in the chair, Fred flopped into the chair beside him. "You need to eat more Jimbo; you weren't that heavy at all!" |

[dohtml]

[align=center]

[/align]This was awful. Odetta had seen many reactions to her rather forward actions in her day, but never ever had she made someone dizzy, let alone nearly faint. And the sad truth of the matter was that she hadn't even gone full force on her flirty, seductive ways. How she had acted the entire night was a mere scratch on the surface of her true personality, and she briefly wondered how her cute little date would react if she unleashed everything on him.

Though she had to admit, when Mu finally responded and stood again, a very heavy wave of relief hit her harshly. Of course, it wasn't relief about his well being, after all she had wanted to get him drunk, but at least now people wouldn't think she was some strange drink-drugging weirdo. Though, really... that wasn't too far from her actual personality.

She smiled in that sweet, concerned way and nodded once more, tilting her head much like her sister did in situations such as these. "Well, I think you should take it easy for now. Don't need you passing out on me, do I?"

[/dohtml] |

"Perhaps, if you do decide to put up a stall, I might come by sometime to see more of your lovely pictures." Ulysses said, raising a brow as he looked down at her when she had said that he wasn't like most other men - that he didn't reach lower than he was supposed to. The thought was appalling to him - it would show a great disrespect to the woman, particularly if you had only just met. No, that wasn't 'his style' at all. "As you wish," Ulysses said, heat rising to his cheeks when the woman slowly leaned forward to rest her head on his chest. Looking up and away, he said nothing, only tried to relax himself slightly, so that she wouldn't feel as if she were leaning on a brick wall. As he looked up, he caught his nephew's gaze, and gave the boy a small smile and a wink. ------ Trey had been looking up towards his Uncle, while Rose was finishing off her cake but after she had made the comment about him and his date having a good time, when Ulysses winked at him. His last cookie now in his mouth, he giggled at his Uncle. When his Uncle turned away as he continued dancing with his date, Trey looked up at Rose, listening to her question and thinking on it. "Mm, exploring? Sounds fun...where should we go?" Trey asked, looking up at the woman as he polished off the last of his cookies. His only concern was not going too far away in exploring - he didn't want to worry his Uncle, but wondered if it might be a while before Ulysses went in search of him, though... With a mental shrug, he returned his attention to Rose, awaiting her response. |

Ulysses nodded slowly in response to her first words, and he, too, finally noticed that there were among the few couples still dancing. Not that he minded - it was rather nice to have the dance floor area practically to themselves. Plus, as long as his date wanted to continue slowly dancing around and around out here on the dance floor, so would he. He looked down in time to see her turn her face a little more into his chest, and he thought he felt a slight sensation, as if she were talking or something, but heard nothing. Figuring that if it was something that he was meant to hear, she would have lifted up her head and said it, he dismissed it with a mental shrug and raised his head again to look out straight ahead. He suddenly thought of a question to ask, in hopes of starting up another conversation. "When did you first start taking photographs, if I may ask?" He inquired, hoping it wouldn't seem like he was prying. |

This time, Jim didn't bother to try and resist. He sighed, nodding a tad as he allowed himself to be carried by his good friend toward their table. He needed to snap himself awake every few seconds.

He barely noticed when Fred sat him down on a chair. "You need to eat more Jimbo; you weren't that heavy at all!" Rose chuckled, glancing around. "Well...perhaps we could see what is behind those trees over there." She nodded towards a patch of trees that she had been leaning against earlier; it wasn't far from everyone else, but was still out of the way of dancing feet. "Perhaps we will find something interesting." Fred smiled at jim, breathing a laugh; poor kid passed out. Glancing around, he looked for Nyida. "Where is that date of yours...? I may have to give her an apology dance..." Hopefully, this didn't ruin the night for the two of them. Looking back at Jim, he smiled softly. "Bloody punk..." |

The blonde's arms crossed over her chest- it seemed Jim and Fred had started on there way here. Finally, the two dancers return. There was nothing to do when Jim, Fred, and now Hazel were the only ones she knew- all occupied. It brought bored throughout her body, and she couldn't seem to rid of it until she saw the two returning. As they reached the table it seemed Jim didn't notice her- which was understandable. He seemed like he was ready to fall over any moment from having one glass of alcohol. She'd never seen someone get so drunk from just one glass before. Although, as she parted her lips to speak, she began to notice 'Fredrinna' wasn't noticing her either. A grin slowly spread against her face. Yes, this was perfect. Sitting there for a few minutes, allowing the nearly passed out Jim and his new date to hold a conversation, which seemed less than worth it- Fred was mostly talking to himself anyways- she picked up her glass of water, sipped a few and placed it back on the table. Awkwardly enough, the same moment her glass set down on the table Jim slumped forward, and she eyed her glass suspiciously. Nah. She thought. No such thing as magic. "I'm starting to think you're just as drunk as Jimbo here. Chuckling finally, she leaned forward placing one hand under her chin, and the other laying ontop of the table, while she eyed Fred. "You two enjoy yourselves? Jim sure seemed to put up a good fight against all that alcohol in his system. Surprised he lasted til now." |

Fred jumped when Nydia finally spoke. "Gah! You're like a ninja!" Glancing at the passed out Jim he smiled apologetically. "Yeah we had a pretty good time, though I wonder if the poor guy will remember it tomorrow...but I'm sure he'll still have memories of dancing with his pretty date, so I think you're still good." He wasn't normally this generous with his words, but he felt kind of bad for essentially stealing for date for a dance. Not to mention Jim wasn't able to apologize for himself just yet. |

Nyida smiled softly at the Jim that had passed out, and she stood walking over to him, and pushed his form back a little. "Least we can do is keep him from ruining his back. He's going to have one mighty neck ache though." Frowning at this, she reached for another chair and pulled it up beside Fred so she was no long across the table from him. Smiling sweetly at her date's sleeping face she sighed a bit dreamily. "He's a good dancer, as I'm sure you know. Well, maybe not." A chuckle fell onto the air, and she grinned over at Fred before looking back to Jim. "The good thing if he doesn't remember his date, if there was anything he didn't like about her it'll all be forgotten." That was a good positive. Reaching down to rub at her heel, she smiled remembering her and Jim's dance once more. He had a lot of surprises, and was saddened she wouldn't have the chance to expeirence anymore of them tonight. "Do you think there will be more fesitvals like this one?" She was new, and wasn't sure how often this happened. It was a nice to have gotten stuck with Jim for the blind date- awkward, but nice. After finding out she was stuck with Jim for her 'date', Nyida couldn't help but want to ditch this night- she would have never knew what she was missing. Man, even if Jim had gotten drunk and passed out for the rest of the night, inside she felt the start of her night was well worth it's ending being so dull. |
