Kayla was slightly surprised when the woman took a seat opposite her, but put down the carrot she had bit into to listen when the woman started to speak. "Ah," She murmured with a slight nod, feeling kind of stupid for what she'd said just a moment ago, and glanced over to the man, who was still standing by the wine, just in time to see him down the whole glass in what seemed like a single gulp. Eyes widening slightly, she stared at him for a few seconds, before coming to her senses and turning to face the woman once again, and gave her a small smile. "Well, I'm glad to have someone to talk to, honestly, because I don't really know anyone here... My name's Kayla Tanner, by the way." Kayla said pleasantly, smile still present. ------ "Oo, adventures. Yay!" The little boy seemed quite enthused with the idea, and smiled at the thought. Adventures with cookies...now, that sounded interesting! When she mentioned about the cookies, he grinned and nodded, taking another small bite. "Yeah, they're gooood." He murmured, after swallowing. He willing walked over to the table Rose was ushering him towards, and sat down in one of the available chairs. He set his plate of cookies on the table, and, snatching one off, began to look around the glade as he nibbled on it. |

There was no response. Her call for Cloud Shiwaru had gone unanswered and the festival had officially begun. Min Hee pouted, clearly displeased by her lack of a dance partner. While other couples were twirling about merrily, she was standing here by herself completely and utterly bored. The world still owed her an apology for ruining her “romance movie.” Surely she should have gotten it by now! Why did the universe persist in disappointing her? Was this island secretly a portal to another dimension? One where she, Min Hee Ko, would be oppressed for the rest of her life? Surely this was some horrible mistake! The teen glanced around, hoping to find some young man to target in the absence of her date, but instead caught sight of a familiar face on the dance floor… “It’s Jiiiiiim~!” Min Hee called out, skipping over to the dance floor. As she did, she eyed his dance partner curiously, a glint of excitement in her eyes. Oh, he’d come with a date, had he? How… interesting. New people were always fun. “Y’know, I haven’t seen you since that day at the cave! I never even got the chance to give your jacket back!” she chattered, hovering about as he danced with the unknown girl. "That was really nice of you~ I was so happy~! You should be like that more instead of so grumpy." |

Mu had arrived at the festival the moment it had officially begun. However, his entrance had been so quiet, so unannounced, that it was not likely anyone had noticed. He now stood by himself a short distance from the dance floor, looking rather awkward with nothing to do and no one to talk to except the rose in his hand. Odetta Bano. That was her name. The young man ran an anxious hand through his green hair, appropriately combed back for the occasion so it no longer poked into his face. Oh, he had looked forward to the festival, albeit rather nervously, but now that he actually found himself here, he wasn’t sure what to do. Find his date? Ah, but where to start? There were so many lovely young women here, and any one of them could be this “Odetta” person. He blinked a bit, gazing around the glade with a sort of far-off, dreamy stare. This… This was really something amazing. The area seemed to emit the very essence of beauty, from the decorations and the wildlife to the people themselves. His golden eyes glowed with a childlike awe as he watched dancing couples, mesmerized by the rhythm of their steps and the twirling of skirts. Soon, he had drifted off into his own world, mouth agape as he continued to gawk with glassy eyes. Now he had to find Odetta. She was likely just as wonderful as all of this. Women really were amazing. |

Jim's eyes widened a tad when he wondered what Nyida and Fred might think.

He managed to force a smile and glanced over to her. "Hey...Min." He greeted, his teeth clenched together a tad. "Ladies and Gentlemen! Our Goddess and King have arrived!" Vanilla bit back a groan as he looked up from his plate of food. Oh no, you're kidding! My date isn't even here yet... A frown traced his lips. He had half the mind to leave then, but decided against it. "What if I leave and she gets here? Then I'd be the one who's rude. Maybe if I wait?" He trailed off. Well, it sounded a lot better than being labeled an impatient jerk. Vanilla sigh, leaning against the back of his chair. Waiting was all he could do, for now... The blonde lost track of time but, by now, he figured his date was probably a no show. He let out a tiny sigh, watching from the sidelines as others danced with their partners or talked among friends. Vanilla stood, pushing his chair back. Sitting here wouldn't do any good; it was time to get out there and meet some new people! ...But, who exactly? Groaning, he plopped back into a sitting position. Weren't these festival things supposed to be fun? No wonder why Connie and the others never attended get togethers. These things are sorta boring... He absentmindedly glanced at his dish. "Might as well get more food." Grabbing hold of his, now empty, plate, Vanilla moved away from his table and headed back to where the food was. |

"Excuse me, but has anyone see a Jacob Lo?" Blinking, Vanilla thought he might be hearing things. He was standing at the food table now, busily placing various delicacies onto his plate but he stopped. Glancing over his shoulder, he nearly dropped the ladle. It was Charlotte, and man did she look pretty! This wasn't that bad after all! Smiling happily, Vanilla completely abandoned his plate and began to jog towards her. "Hey, Charlotte!" He called out while waving to her. |

Still, it was the thought, the feeling that they were indeed infinite to the world at that moment.

Still, as the song ended and the two slowed to a halt, Cole led the blond to the table where all of the food had been laid out, and she glanced back and forth over their options. Vanilla stopped beside Charlotte and smiled. "I have a table, if you'd wanna sit down. It's this way." Motioning to the table, he began to lead her over to it. Charlotte was silent for a bit and seemed to be looking for someone. Probably that Jacob Lo person - was he her date? She finally spoke up and asked if his date wasn't here either. At this, Vanilla let out a tiny laugh and nodded. A small, weak smile was spread on his face. "Ah, yeah. I think she might've forgot?" It was a shame too, he was really looking forward to meeting her! At least Charlotte was here now and he wasn't alone. "Did you want some food or a drink?" Vanilla asked her as they neared the table. |

Rose smiled at the boy's enthusiasm. Sitting beside him, she cut into her cake and took a bite; goodness it was delicious. Glancing down at Trey, she saw his eyes wandering around the Glade. Following suite, she examined the Festival; it seemed much more lively with people dancing about. She smiled slightly as she saw a few ambitious men twirling and lifting their partners. "They make it look easy." |
