That was probably why he was currently tagging along with her, since she regularly frequented the Sapphire Glades whenever the colder seasons came about. She wasn’t sure why, but most people seemed to avoid the place. Either it was just too difficult for most of the people on Obsidian to find, or they were thoroughly freaked out by the fact that it seemed to defy all sorts of logic and scientific rules since it always remained the same, throughout all the seasons. It never went up or down a single degree in temperature.

Her and her big, white, and fluffy dog, Zhong Wei, were on the same thought wave whenever it came to the place, though. To them, it meant one thing; a nice outdoor place where you didn’t have to freeze your butt off. Entering the area with her dog in front of her, leading the way with no leash attached, Alida stretched her arms out above her head and let out a sigh. It always felt so refreshing, stepping into this place and having a nice warm breeze thaw out her face and body.

She picked out a spot and quickly laid down in the green grass, putting her arms underneath her head and using them as a pillow. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched as Zhong Wei quickly scouted the area as he normally did, and then finally returned to where she was and laid down next to her, letting out a very large-mouthed yawn.

[/dohtml] |

Today had been fairly better than the day previous. Atleast he hadn't encountered any people, outside of the older woman whom he HAD to speak with. Only due to the fact he tended to her garden during this winter year. If it weren't for that, he'd remain a recluse. Never speaking to anyone at all. He'd finished the job earlier than usual, though it was to be expected. He'd worked incredibly hard the day before, making sure the flowers would be fine. After work, he'd decided to take a short walk before heading off to some place of seclusion where he could rest and relax before the next day. And so, here he was now. Sapphire Glade. A place he'd never encounted before. Flowers abloom, and dozens of which were out of season. The temparture was perfect. A nice spring day, though to Mikhail it felt more like a hot summer day. His home land never reached such heat unless it was the mid of summer. He dreaded that time of year, and he'd dread it here as well if it weren't for the raw beauty of the place. He'd remove the coat that usuall covered the majority of his form, and placed it, folded, at the base of a tree. It was only during these times that one could see the tattoo,'Alone I Break', running across the length of his shoulder blades. His build was light, only a minimal number of muscles visible. A true athletic build. Mikhail could be seen now, perched within the branch of a tree. Camera in hand, the sound of the shutter rapidly closing echoing throughout the area. He was oblivious to the woman no more than fifty feet from him. And hopefully, she'd be oblivious to his presence as well. He hoped. |
| Not being able to hold you has got to be the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But I get to look forward to the next time you are in my arms; your smile only inches away from mine getting closer and closer until at last....our smiles meet. Something that beautiful...that's what keeps me going. | |

The distinct smell of another human in the area had made itself known, but the ignoramus at his side had no idea. She was still laying with her arms beneath her head, one of her legs moving as she stared up at the sky and lightly hummed to herself. And that was why he often had to go wandering around with the blond, otherwise she’d simply remain ignorant of everything around her and not come home at all one day.

That would be a living nightmare for him; he needed someone to feed him, after all. Zhong Wei doubted that the villagers would accept him roaming into the local grocery store, picking up a shopping basket in his jaws, and then roaming down the isles in search of dog food and other tasty-smelling morsels.

He started growling a warning out to the human he had smelt earlier, just as a peculiar clicking noise began to repeat itself over and over. His growl alerted the woman beside him, and she finally sat up and scratched the side of her head.

“Oi, oi,” Alida complained, letting out a yawn before lifting one of her arms up and smacking Zhong Wei atop his big and furry head. He stopped growling at whatever it was he sensed in the distance and turned his attention onto her, snapping at her fingers and she pulled her hand back.

“Don’t get mad at me!” She hissed back, jumping on her dog and bringing them both down into the grass in a game of wrestling and biting. “You stupid mutt!”

Zhong Wei was very much thinking the same thing at the moment, except directed at her of course.

[/dohtml] |
