Posted by Game-Addict92 (Admin) at Oct 29 2009, 07:47 PM. 8 comments
Following a few days of rumors, Nintendo has finally announced (officially) the newest DSi: the DSi XL. The system will release in Japan this fall and will hit stores in North America and Europe sometime in early 2010.
So what exactly does the new DSi offer? The new DSi offers a bigger, 4.2 inch screen, a thicker system, a longer stylus, and longer battery life by 1-3 hours. The DSi XL also comes with pre-installed DSi software. This will all be made avaliable for about $220 in US dollars, about $40 more than the DSi. It is unknown if the original DSi will be discontinued.
Pictures of the newest DSi can be found below, which will release to Japan in Dark Brown, Wine Red, and Natural White. No other regions have had colors announced just yet.

StarFox Project To Begin?
Posted by Game-Addict92 (Admin) at Oct 27 2009, 08:11 PM. 7 comments
After a long hiatus, is the StarFox franchise finally set to recieve another game? In a recent interview with video game mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto, the man behind it all spilled out that he was a huge fan of StarFox, but was saddened this its popularity decreased over the years. He then went on to add that Nintendo will soon be looking to change that and hopes they can raise more appeal for those types of games.
Could a new StarFox project just be entering development? Will it be for the Wii or DS?

New DSi Coming

Although it may seem soon, Nintendo already has plans to release a new DSi just before the year ends in Japan only. There is currently no word on if this DSi will hit other regions.
There is only one difference between this new DSi and the current DSi: screen size. The latest DSi will have a screen 4 inches wide and will cost the same price as the current DSi.
The only picture avaliable is through a Japanese newspaper scan that can be found here:

There is also no word on which colors it will release in.

New Nintendo Game?
Posted by Game-Addict92 (Admin) at Oct 15 2009, 06:09 PM. 3 comments
IGN's weekly podcast, Nintendo Voice Chat, has perhaps leaked out news of a possible new Nintendo game being revealed sometime next week. The IGN staff commented that next week, they would be playing New Super Mario. Bros., Cave Story, Lost Winds 2, and an unannounced Nintendo title. The only hint pertaining to the game's identity was "It's not a B title game and has come out of nowhere."
Coincidentially, the game will be played a few days after Miytamoto holds his press conference. Could the game be revealed then? Only time will tell.

Shortly after patenting the new horseback riding controller for the Wii, Nintendo has now patented a football controller. Players can see a picture it here.
As seen, the Wiimote fits snuggly into the soft football. For throwing the ball, players use a throwing motion. The angle and force all determine different thinks such as the trajectory arc. For running the ball, players use a running motion and dodge left and right to avoid defenders. Players can just jump using a certain motion. Speed is determined by the motion of the runner.
Like the horseback riding controller, there is no confirmation that this will ever reach stores. It has merely been patented.
