Diablerie; What NOT to do...

Diablerie is the act of drinking another vampire's blood to the point of Final Death. The diablerizer gains the generation power of the diablerized. So, for example, a generation 9 (litterally 9 generations removed from Caine) decides to take on a generation 6 (really dumb, but possible). When the 9th gen succeeds, he becomes, in essence, a 6th gen. The downside is anyone with Auspex can tell that he has diablerized someone and how recently. Black lines through the aura denotes diablerie. If they are strong, it's recent. If they are weak, it's past.

Camarilla very much frown on diablerie. I believe the Cam's will punish the vampire either by Final Death or shunning/banning from clan/sect functions. The Prince may declare a hunt on them...I'm not sure.

Sabbat, however, praise diablerie and actually promote members who do so. It's a way of getting rid of the "lesser" vampires, so to speak. The principle of "natural selection" as it were. Tzimisce and LaSombra are known for diablerizing, which is why people do not tend to become too closely intertwined with them.

The'uh a'he, of course, always exceptions, my dea'uh Dillon.... *winks*

Ugh. This is going to be hard for me to write. I don't think I have EVER played a character like this before....except Jack, but he doesn't count....he's a man. LOL But, I am noticing a trend with my Archbishops....they're very flirty....

okay (now that I've gotten my mind out of the sewer - and that's mainly because there's no way I can post the following (because of the way my own mind works) in such a way that would keep my mind out of the sewer - where would messire Kaeden fit in with your dear lady as Sabbat archbishop (and I believe lasombra regent? have that right?)

I am so very glad you asked!

The way I have played the Sabbat (before SdL) was the character of the Archbishop was actually the Regent. The city in which she served had fallen to the Camarilla and she was tired of the job not being done correctly, so she assumed the position of Archbishop. Her Cardinal took up the position of Bishop and then the Priscus also acted as a Priest (it was a very messed up system). To my knowledge, I am the only person I know to have an Archbishop who is truly a Regent...and I really don't want to revisit those "higher" authorities....

All that having been said...

How would Kaeden like the position of Bishop?

Sabbat rankings above Archbishop are not supposed to be directly involved with a city. The Cardinals appoint Archbishops over the main cities in their "territories," but have no direct dealings with them. It is sort of like having a District Manager and a store manager. Anyway...whatever...

Sorry... I just know waaaaaaay too much....

I don't say this just because Isily has an undeniably huge crush on Dillon (and, if she were able, would want to bear his half-breed children *rolls eyes and slaps Isily*), but....I would sorta like to see the two sects crumbling in these final nights....

They've been around for centuries (which reminds me...generation info I'll need to write up...mostly because I screwed up Isily's) and some of the younger vampires may not fully understand their importance and whatnot.

Example: Would Dillon truly appreciate the fact that the Masquerade is what kept he and his kin alive for thousands of years if, in these final nights, no one really cared that there were vampires walking about? Like the humans just accepted it as a "lifestyle" choice... Would Kaeden really be so monsterous that he would be willing to stake (literally!) his life for his pack/clansmen if they tore someone assunder in broad--er, moonlight? There are some things to think about when setting up the sects in the future.

I think it's a topic worth discussing. Kinda like denominations: we believe what we believe because we always have...but, maybe your way is right, too...

Thoughts?

(Just an FYI, Gretchen and Isiladura are going to sit down for a pow-wow on the two sects....but, perhaps the outcome of that meeting is a mutal "truce" between the two sects....that is what I'm asking for opinions on)

Sure that would work for me - both on the Bishop front and the truce :)
