A Cure for the Plague; Is LaBomb Getting Lucky?!

*The scene is...well...about what you'd expect given the chaotic nature of the upcoming match and the attitudes of all concerned. Where we saw Vengeance's Sergei Durov and Lynsanity's Dice making plans to deal ferociously with their oddly-mated opponents a few days ago, when it comes to Twin Dream, the attitude in the room is markedly different. They're in their hotel room in Berlin, Tenshi sitting cross-legged on the sofa in her workout clothes san sneakers with a hand to her face. Akki, however, is on her feet and bouncing on her heels as she clutches her cell phone in front of her, looking from it to Tenshi and back over and over.*

"Yes, for the fifth time, that's his phone number. It was in the directory at the home office, just like almost everyone's, for this purpose. I'm surprised you didn't try to get it long before now with your stalker tendencies."

*Akki's too excited to even TRY looking affronted. Teaming up with Zachary LaBomb? Did it even MATTER who their opponents were?!*

"I-I'm not a stalker! There's nothing wrong with admiring someone!"

"Oh, is that what they're calling it these days?"

*Tenshi smirks cutely, folding her arms now.*

"So having the entire ceiling space above your bed slathered with pictures and posters of Zachary LaBomb isn't overboard at all? He's your screensaver, your phone's background picture and their entrance theme is your ringtone. Shall I go on?"

"Now that's not true and you know it! Yes, he's the cute one, but I have pictures of all of them!"

"Not helping your case here."

"Oh, push off!"

*A grin parts the younger sister's lips but it passes after a moment as she unfolds her legs from beneath her. Rising, she pads lightly over to Akki and reaches up with both hands, cupping her cheeks. She wills the older sister to look at her and refuses to have it any other way till she says what she needs to.*

"Jokes and innuendo aside, sis, promise me that you'll be careful, huh?"

"What do you mean 'careful'?"

*Tenshi gives Akki a hard enough look that the older half of the team shrinks back, albeit slightly.*

"Zachary sounds like he's only after one thing. They barely put up a fight in defense of their titles and now Vengeance has them. And you know already that Sergei will be looking for any weakness he can exploit in order to make an example out of Zachary AND you..."

*Reflexively, Akki glances to the fading scar on Tenshi's arm, courtesy of Vengeance's teeth.*

"...and no matter what they might say on television, no one who wins and holds a title doesn't care about it. Those two are gonna want to make a statement. A bigger one than they made on us to get the shot in the first place. I don't doubt your ability a bit, Sachi-kun, nor do I doubt that, when he's motivated, Zachary can get the job done in the ring too. I just don't want you to lose sight of how important this match could be or how dangerous who you're facing is."

"I think you're worrying too much, Chihiro, but..."

*Instantly the reproving look that Akki had been about to get dwindles and is replaced by an expression of interest and impatience.*

"...I really want to win this match. I know we can be tag champions ourselves if we get another opportunity. And teaming with one of the former champs against the one of the current champs is a good start toward that. When it comes to Zachary, I think I know how to keep him focused on what's important."

"I'm almost afraid to ask what you have in mind."

"He has the, terrible of a term as it, yellow plague. I know, I know..."

*Tenshi rolls her eyes in bored irritation at that stupid line...*

"...but that works in my favor. And yours, cause I want you down at ringside as well just in case Sergei's witch decides to get physical. I really don't think you'll have to worry about Misty, though. Hell, she'd probably keep Yulia out of our business herself. Quinn LaBomb will probably be too busy playing with her tablet to be much of a factor so that takes care of ringside."

"Get back to the part of how Zachary's...sickness...works in my favor too?"

*Akki blushes and Tenshi's eyes widen.*

"Ohhhhh no. No way. Nothing on this planet would make me consider that."

"You don't have to DO anything, you worry-wart! Sheesh! Well, unless you call, um, motivation...doing something."

"And how, pray tell, am I supposed to motivate that goof? How is that going to help you two in the ring if he can't keep his eyes off me?"

"Oh! Oh...well, that's true, I guess..."

"And they say MEN think with the wrong part of the anatomy..."

"CHIHIRO!"

*Despite how distasteful the thoughts running alongside that conversation are, Tenshi can't help but laugh. Soon, Akki has joined in on the mirth. After they get it out of their systems, Tenshi watches as Akki wanders away with phone in hand, sending a text to Zachary. Doing her best to be patient, Tenshi picks up her pink-and-black Nikes and puts them on, doing up the laces as Akki returns.*

"Okay, I sent him a message about the match. And, ah, I asked him to dinner to have that little discussion. You don't have to come if you don't want to..."

"Now what makes you think I'd be the third wheel in your little bicycle of love, big sis? I mean, far be it from me to get in the way of you two trying to recreate that scene from Lady and the Tramp followed by hip-hockey in the back of his rental car..."

*If Akki had green hair, she'd have looked like a tomato at that point. Her jaw goes slack and she tries to form words, but fails miserably. Tenshi, deadpan, looks up at her all serious and fakes confusion when she sees her big sister's reaction.*

"Oh, sorry...that was rude, wasn't it? Should I have said tonsil-tennis? Full-contact Twister?"

"Y-You...I...a-ah..."

"Sorry, what?"

*Reveling in her sister's animated discomfort, Tenshi gets up and grabs her small workout bag with the few essentials necessary for exercise and walks toward the door with a laugh on her lips.*

"You're too easy, sis. Fortunately for you, so is Zachary LaBomb!"

"That's NOT true! He NEVER has sex in the backseat till the second date!"

"And how many dates till he tries to put it in your rear end? We're only in Berlin a few more days..."

*Shrieking in frustration, Akki snatches up her own bag and runs after Tenshi, who takes off like a rabbit, laughing all the way. Akki chases her little sister out of the room and we can hear their pounding footsteps in the hallway though the view doesn't follow them before the scene goes to black.*
