With little that would direct one to it from the outside, it would easy to pass right by the small cafe on the corner. Perhaps that's why Sergei sought it out for his appointment, for lack of a better term, with Dice. One should say Lynsanity, rather, since it was quite likely that Misty Lyn would be joining him. Sergei would not have begrudged Dice that, it making little difference one way or the other in his mind. As he awaited, he sipped from a cup of coffee and swept through messages on his phone. Time, for once, wasn't of the essence.

Outside by the front door, just as Sergei had suspected, Dice stands with Misty Lyn, debating the pros and cons of actually walking inside the door and meeting with this man.

"Are you sure about this?"

Misty Lyn nods, trying to look way more certain than she actually was.

"You at least need to see what he has in mind."

Dice takes a deep breath, lets it our forcefully and then opens the door. It doesn't take long to find what he's looking for. Honed instincts had half the new tag champions sitting so that he had a full view of the door. The moment Lynsanity came in he gestured quietly for them to join him. No sooner had they taken a seat than did the server come over to the table, topping off Sergei's coffee.

"Can I get you anything?"

She spoke English with a pleasant accent that didn't interfere with understanding. Misty quickly orders coffee for both of them, making sure to do so properly for the area.

"Showing off are ya there, Mish?"

Misty shrugs as if she's heard this a thousand times before and didn't find it funny the first time.

"It never hurts to show manners, Michael."

Sergei adds a touch of sugar to offset the new coffee in his cup, watching Dice and Misty calmly, waiting for them to finish their banter before starting.

"Good to see that you didn't lose your way. This establishment is an obscure one."

Dice smiles back at him.

"Sorta like home in Brooklyn. All the cool stuff is down alleys and in corner places you have to know before you go."

He cants his head a little as Dice responds...and actually smiles back, albeit slightly. Sergei isn't much for expressions of any sort other than anger or focus, apparently.

"It is better that way. They are not ruined, then, by constant attention and negligent patrons."

Sergei sips his coffee again.

"Would I be correct in assuming that you find this upcoming contest as nonsensical as I do?"

Dice nods slightly.

"Yeah, I mean, the way I look at it is that Akki girl drew the short straw here. Granted, she's the only one in this match who's never been tag champs here before but she's also the one who has to put up with Zack LaBomb. Even passed that though, the only way this could be weirder is if my little brother were involved too, and i wouldn't be shocked if he showed up, hot headed as he is."

"Hot-headed, violent, driven and single-minded. I would not be surprised in the least. That noted, if he does make an appearance I will deal with him personally."

He sets the cup down with a soft clink.

"As far as Zachary goes, his focus shall be questionable. For that matter, so shall Akki's considering their...distant affection, I suppose you would say? There's no place for that in this business in most cases."

Misty nods as well.

"He's got Rory down."

She pauses looking hesitant and confused.

"As long as Zack is looking at her and not me, Zoe or Yulia, I'd be happy."

Dice chuckles.

"What, you don't like being called sexy?"

She just shoots him a look.

"MICHAEL!!!"

Dice shrugs, still laughing.

"Ok... ok... though, they kinda remind me of us a little..."

"Barring the utter lack of class on his part and understanding on hers, right?"

Speaking of Yulia, she returns to the table as Sergei says such. She gives both Misty and Dice a look...not a threatening or cold look but one that reeks of curiosity. One glance toward Sergei, who rises to allow her into the booth, and she becomes a bit more genial. Misty nods in agreement.

"Michael didn't have to tell me he liked me and my partner at the time, in ever sense of the word, thought I should take advantage of it more than I did. And I will admit, I did take advantage of it until..."

She trails off, the memories of Kayla flooding back to her. Dice pats her hand lovingly.

"It's ok, I miss her too."

Leaning in, Yulia whispers something to Sergei in Russian. He responds, his eyes still on Misty and Dice as they converse quietly about someone from their past. They do not interrupt until both members of Lynsanity seem to have calmed down, whereupon...

"This meeting was probably unnecessary. However, out of a grudging respect we have for the two of you, seeing as how you dealt us our first defeat and what happened at the pay-per-view..."

There's a brief pause while Yulia declines to order for the time being.

"...it seemed prudent to not take a chance of us having miscommunication. Losing to such a pairing as those two would be cringe-worthy."

"It was probably worth a roll of the dice that way..."

Misty shakes her head.

"Michael, that was bad even for you."

"Humor aside, a message needs to be sent. To the LaBombs and Twin Dream should they have designs on the championships and to Randal Altzer where it comes to making foolish matches like this for his own amusement."

Ah, there was the Sergei most people knew...

"People have been trying to teach Randy Altzer lessons since he got here and the closest he's gotten is when Robbie Priest rips his arm off for trying to make people believe he fucked the guy's wife. It's like expecting James Stall to be a good guy, no matter how many times people like me smash him in the head with a tire iron, he never seems to grasp it. As for the LaBombs, you get no argument from me on that bunch of talent wastes."

"He will in time."

Finishing his cup and declining another refill, Sergei folds his hands on the table before him.

"Is there anything else we need to discuss before this contest?"

Dice shakes his head.

"It would appear we're on the same page, especially when it comes to young Zachary."

"Very good, then. If you wish, the food here is rather good. No sense in partaking of the ambiance if one isn't going to sample the cuisine as well."

"Sounds good."

The server returns and the feed cuts out.
