{Somewhere in the countryside of Germany}
“Hey!”
A scream can be heard from a distance as the camera pans out to the beautiful countryside of Ireland. New Era’s next stop for this coming New Friday Night.
“Hey You!”
Once again the voice can be heard and it seems like it draws closer than the first. Then someone’s arm comes into view and spins the camera man around to reveal none other than our No Limits Champion, Tommy Zeller.
“I know you were sent out here to catch my thoughts. To see what I have to say about this bullshit handicap match I have been placed in. Along with my title being on the line in this ridiculous match. I know you are not being paid to catch clips of the country side so focus on me. Okay pal?”
You see the camera momentarily shake up and down as the camera man nods in agreement.
“Ok Good! Now first I would like to start off by saying I could have seen this coming. Just about anyone could have seen this coming. You attack the owner of the company and he sends his goon squad to do his dirty work. Usually it’s an attack during a match, or something goes down before you can even get to your match. Or plain out just an attack backstage because that is the chance that got presented at the time.”
Tommy takes a moment to pull out a cigarette and lighter and ignite the smoke as he continues his rant.
“I mean I expected some kind of retaliation, but this? Your awesome Randy. I guess you realized sending Purity after me wouldn’t work. Hyde is a bit tied up with Stall at the moment. So I thought, maybe, you would be the one to step up and want to extract the revenge yourself, or are you too afraid of a repeat like that of the last time we faced off?”
A few drags off the smoke and he motions for the camera man to follow him as he gently strolls down the open road.
“So you send your mercenaries. You send two people who stick with you, but for what reason? We may never know. You decided to stick me in a handicap match against quite possibly the best tag team to ever grace a New Era ring. A team that is very capable of making it without you by their side, but in my eyes I think they are sticking around because they would rather be on your side than against you. Which may be the smart play. Maybe that is not even the reason behind this all. Who the hell knows. I mean I can sit here all day saying why they should break away from you but nothing is going to get through to them. They are grown people and they can make all the mistakes they so please.”
Tommy slowly drags the cigarette this time and exhales right into the camera. A slight cough can be heard from behind the camera and it bounces a little due to the fact the camera man was the one coughing.
“I mean, you got not only one of the best teams ever, probably some of the most loyal two people ever. I give them that. They have stuck through all the bullshit. Anything you can think of they have been there by your side. Weather they like you or hate you, they have been there. They were there for what was a god’s honest Fabulous Disaster. We all see how winded up. Now They stick around when you formed Legion. I mean by your track record with stables, we all see how this will wind up eventually. Don’t get me wrong, Legion has some tough cookies within it, but anything that has seemed to be lead by Randy since I have been here eventually crumbles to pieces. I guess we just need to wait and see when that happens here, because IT WILL HAPPEN.”
Tommy comes to an old abandoned building and peeks inside. The camera tries to see what he is looking at but can not get a good enough angle. As it seems to be a point where it would see what he is peering at, Tommy steps back and keeps on walking. A few moments later the camera man also steps back and continues to follow Tommy.
“Sure, Wrecking Crew just came off a tough loss. Sure people can say they have been off their game. Sure people can say, they are not the team they were a year or so ago, but I see a bit of why. They were going back and forth with Sin Inc and Team BrAndy. The three of them were the heart and soul of the tag division for quite some time. Then Sin Inc fell off, well not so much Kerryn. Then Brandi Storm got hurt and not too long after here so did Andy. Then a bunch of new teams began popping their heads in, but none the likes of the team I face by myself this week, none the likes of the longest reigning tag champs in BrAndy. So when their two biggest rivals fell off, so did they. In a way I may add. They lost their reason behind fighting. They seemed to lose their love of the sport. They began to not really give a shit and it showed at the anniversary. They had a golden chance at reclaiming something they helped build to what it is today. They had that golden opportunity. They had the golden ticket to re enter super stardom. And what did they do?”
Tommy stops for a moment and picks up one of those little flower things people blow on and make a wish. He takes a deep breath and tries his hardest to remove all the little flower things in one breath. He falls just short.
“They blew it. They blew it against two teams they should have been able to beat. Riot and Zoe damn straight have it in them to defeat the LaBombs or our new champions, Vengeance. They just blew it. They lost that spark needed to make it in this business. Now I can go on and say their time is up. How it is a new wave of teams that are going to dominate this division for time to come, blah blah, but remember people. This is not a normal tag team match. It is the Wrecking Crew vs me. Not me and a partner, just me. So odds should forever be in their favor right? Right, but are they? Only time can tell, but I can tell you one thing.”
Tommy looks at the empty stem and throws it on the ground and begins to slowly walk down the road again.
“Even with these tremendous odds stacked against me, people know that I will fight until the very end. People know regardless of what is put in front of me that they will get the very best of me each and every match. Not for the fans. Not to please the owner, because we all see I can care less about our owner right now, and I might be treading deep waters but fuck it. Now attacking our owner and the leader may seem like a suicide mission to some, but it is something I am willing to risk. Me and Randal have a bit of history. He screwed me over when he was leading his Fabulous Disaster. Failed. He tried to defend his television title against me. Failed. So I guess attacking him at the Anniversary was in a way icing on the cake. Hence why he sent the Wrecking Crew.”
Tommy begins to laugh as he almost trips over a rock on the ground. He gathers his composure and continues his journey.
“It’s a love hate relationship with you three. Some days it seems like he cares, where you guys never seem to care about him and his actions, but don’t you see that some of his actions will in turn affect you? By him not manning up and facing me himself he has sent you. Not caring if I some how defeat you. Not caring if somehow I beat both of you to a bloody pulp. To him you two are expendable.”
He now pulls out his pack of smokes and lights another one up.
“If you get seriously hurt? I am sure he will put on a good front of caring and wishing for a speedy recovery, but what happens when you are no longer able to compete? He will just go and try to find a couple new goons. In time he will forget about you. So why waste your time being so loyal to a man, who in the end doesn’t really care for anything except his happiness?”
Tommy puts his hands up in a bit of confusion.
“You guys really make me think he has some serious dirt on the two of you, because trying to figure out why you stay around just puzzles me, but that’s only something you two and Randy know. I’m done trying to figure you two out. Now it is just time for business. Me versus the both of you. My title on the line. Just the situations I like. My back against the wall. Looking at what some would be inevitable defeat, not to me. I see it is a chance to really keep my game at peak performance. This is a chance to single handedly take down the best team to ever grace New Era’s ring. This is a chance to show Randal that it was a smart choice to not face me right now, because I will show him what would have happened if it was him in the ring with me this week instead of you two.”
Tommy takes a few more drags of his cigarette as he stops on the side of the road. He glares into open fields and exhales a big drag.
“You’re in my world now guys. Time to pay for Randal’s sins once again.”
The scene fades out as Tommy just stands there and continues to smoke his cigarette.
