So Roman Reigns was given a monstrous push.

it's gonna be interesting to see if the crowd getting behind reigns for the final bit of the rumble was more "we love roman" or "we just don't want batista to win"

Nice to see Sheamus return also. Heel or face, I enjoy his work. Big kudos to Roman for breaking Kane's record.

I think it was more of "We don't want Batista to win." Once, they realized Bryan wasn't in the Rumble they instantly hated everything about it. Poor Mysterio got the worst of the fan reaction. Stupid move by WWE. They should've had some heel come out at #30.

i loved seeing rey get booed out of the building (and his elimination cheered!) just for the car crash tv aspect of it -- "jesus christ, these fans really are turning on them!"
contrast: i went to survivor series last year and instead of booing orton/show out of the building, everyone just sat on their hands and booed the botched spots.

I'm not saying I minded Rey getting booed, I just think it was a mistake by the WWE. If they really wanted him to be over they wouldn't have had him enter there. The fans were mad that Bryan wasn't in the match and they took it out on Rey for being the last entrant. WWE should have seen that coming and put someone else in the spot or let Bryan be in the match instead of joke characters like El Torito. As it stands it feels like they set Rey up for failure.

eh rey's pretty bulletproof, i don't think he's gonna get booed next time he appears anywhere. but yeah wwe was dumb about the whole thing, and i think the tension between "what the audience wants" and "what wwe wants to do anyway" is the most interesting feud on the books

I honestly think Roman should've won. First off, welcome to NEW.
Second, I agree with you, once I realized D-Bry wouldn't be in the match.
Third, if you could please resize your signature a bit smaller, I'd greatly appreciate it. It stretches the boards a little bit.

The crowd has actually been generally behind Reigns since Survivor Series though so I don't think it was all about hating Batista.

They should have had Alberto be #30 and Rey be #27. But yeah, Rey should be fine with crowd response. Might want to not use him this week though....let shit blow over.
