"The Wildebeest is no monster. No, no monster, like Nightmare, or James Stall, or any other man who takes joy and pride in hurting and ruining others. It was all... it was all a big, big mistake.

That is all!

That man... that coward of a man... he dared do something that no man should do to another. He dared do something despicable on all levels of understanding. He sneaked into my Deina's life and he stole her from Wildebeest..

While Wildebeest traveled the roads from one fight to the next, that coward of a man told my Deina lies and made her believe that it would be wise of her to leave Wildebeest behind and go with him, to his home, to the place that the slaughter took place.

Foolish! Foolish, man!

Did he think that Wildebeest would not find him? Did he think that Wildebeest would not make him regret taking his belongings right from underneath his nose?

Foolish...

The Wildebeest wouldn't have slaughtered him if he had left what is mine alone. The Wildebeest wouldn't have ruined his life if he hadn't taken what is mine. But he did. And because he did, he suffered.

Does that make Wildebeest a monster?

Does fighting back against the cowardly men who thieve and steal make Wildebeest a brute?

It does not!

The Wildebeest's heart... was broken. Some say... Wildebeest... it was her, not him. It was Deina that broke your heart, not him. Not the coward. But to those people who would defend a thieve, Wildebeest says nonsense. He polluted her mind. He made her into someone she is not. And he took her away from the Wildebeest.

He deserved it.

All of it.

Every broken bone and tooth. Every rip of the flesh and scratch. The Wildebeest would gladly shatter his fist over the bone of his face time and time again if that it what it took to avenge the sins he committed...

but that is not needed. That night, his sins were accounted for. And he is now no longer Wildebeest's concern.

So STOP! looking at Wildebeest like a monster. Stop looking at Wildebeest with the kind of worry and concern one would a criminal or a vicious animal. The Wildebeest does not deserve them.

Maybe then, the Wildebeest would be looked at for what he aspires to be. The Champion of Good that New ERA looks for when the night becomes bloody and the cries for help become deafening.

But no...
That is not to be...

Because Wildebeest failed...

Failed to stand tall and victorious in the eyes of the Judge's after fierce combat with the villain who's injured and frightened many throughout the NEW ERA world. Failed to retain the championship that was the gleaming light that led me out of the darkness. And failed to bring down the monster who ever so proudly spoke up about all of the harm and injury he's caused.

Failed... failed... failed...

The Wildebeest speaks those words with sadness, thinking about what could've been of that night. The glory of victory. The passionate bliss of success. And the overwhelming sensation of pride that would come in bringing down that monster once and for all...

But it isn't all lost...

The Wildebeest did not fall to his knees in sorrow for long. He stood up, and moved on, on to the goal of becoming the Champion of Good that the Judge's called upon him to become. He did not think about the battle being lost, but only of the fact that the war had just begun...

It would be a long journey... and the first few steps were the easy part. Then came the stumble, where Wildebeest would lose it all. Slowed, yes, but not stopped. For nothing can stop the force that is Wildebeest's desire to make a change.

The journey will continue."

Whatever the problem was, Wildebeest would figure it out.
