::Brandi was looking out her hotel room window and shaking her head. They were in Phoenix Arizona for NEW and even in Winter you think of Arizona as being mild at worst. A refreshing change from the north where she and Andy lived in New Jersey. But it was 50 and cloudy, very blah weather indeed. A sigh escaped those lips and she stepped away from the window and flopped down on the California King sized hotel bed. It. Was. Huge. Later on she'd be cuddling with Andy on that bed, sharing popcorn and watching movies, which would be the highlight of this day. Brandi Storm was having a perfectly awful terribad day, and the usually happy, bubbly blonde with the brunette streaks was pouting up in the hotel room. Not really like her at all, was it?
Well, how would you feel? She'd not denied that she'd done things she wasn't proud of when she was in high school. She was a grown woman and had paid her dues, in this business and in her personal life. Her experiences on how NOT to be a good person actually made her a better one now. But Sin Inc just seemed bound and determined to dredge that past up like one of the zombie extras on The Walking Dead.
Talk about beating a dead horse, on the reals.
Last time she'd beaten Lizzbethia on her favorite brand of NEW, NEW Generations, the show she felt was "home" for she and Andy. Now, the cards had been flipped and she was on NEW TV and facing Kerryn Kali.
This was not necessarily a GOOD thing. Kerryn was to be blunt a sly devil, and it wouldn't surprise her on any level if at some point the truth was revealed that Kerryn Kali had made a deal with a Crossroads Demon and sold his soul for all the little things he knew. He wanted her to sweat it, he wanted her to wonder which of the people she had slighted was the one that set this in motion.
But let's be honest, who actually liked their time in high school that much? Distance makes it fuzzy, adds a patina of time to make people believe it was the golden years, the best times of their life.
That was a huge lie, bigger than Santa or the Easter Bunny. Glory days, that was just crap. Whether you were the guy that got stuffed into lockers or the one doing the stuffing trying to impress friends that you'd likely never see again once you got out of there, it was awkward and uncomfortable and if you had a happy moment better hang onto that sucker with both hands.
Either way, Brandi was getting tired of Kerryn wanting to make her pay for something that was over, done with and apologized for. She rolled over onto her belly, she was wearing a tank top and a pair of shorty-shorts since she had no intentions of leaving the hotel - even if an attempt was made to lure her with vegan ice cream. Reaching for her Blackberry she turned on the camera function and held it in front of her in both hands, not caring that she looked a little sleepy and tousled.::
What? Some people found that sexy. Like Andy.
Brandi: "Kerryn ... hey there. You know, how many times are we going to butt heads before you just give it up? And no, I don't mean THAT."
::Brandi let go of the phone with one hand to rub the bridge of her nose wearily.::
Brandi: "Here we are with this song and dance once more and you are being more coy than a Southern Belle on a first date. I don't hate you though, I just wish you'd hurry up and get to the finale. I've apologized all I'm going to, for something I did in the past, to someone. I know what a jerk I was back then. Believe me, I never forget. I'll never be that person again, Kerryn. You can't twist me backwards into being HER again. No matter what reason you may have. Do you think that if you do, I'll leave Andy or he will me?
THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
So, you're wasting your time with the theatrics and trying to make me worry about something that's seriously smoke and mirrors. What you should be worrying about is the fact we have a match and I intend to bring you the fight you so desperately deserve. You are a better wrestler than anyone really gives you credit for, Kerryn. You're stronger than you look and you darn sure won't shy away from the sight of blood, even your own!
These are all things that make you a dangerous man, a dangerous wrestler and a strong competitor.
But it won't be enough to get you past me. I am going down to that ring with a purpose and that purpose is to finally make you understand that you are not going to break me. Because frankly Kerryn, I won't let you. See you at the show, Kerryn. I'm ready."
::She clicked off the phone and dropped it on the bed, faceplanting and exhaling a huge sigh. By the time the show came around she would be vibrant and ready to fight but right now she wanted her AndyPillow and a nap.::
Brandi: "Here we go again."
