(In the complete darkness of a cold November night we see someone sitting in a dirt patch. This person is wearing no shirt and just jeans and black boots. He has his head down as his back muscles flex just as a cold breeze comes through. We get a closer look and that person is Disturbed.)
Disturbed ”I guess I’m the last of a dying breed.”
(Disturbed lifts his head up and stares into the camera.)
Disturbed ”So we’re at that time of the year again. It’s time for the Six Pack Qualifying matches. Now I see the names of the people that have the opportunity and it makes me realize that I am the last of a dying breed because I’m the only one of those who has a chance to be in the Six Pack Challenge that was actually apart of the match last year. Damn; my how things have changed in a calendar year.”
(Disturbed gets up from the ground and doesn’t even wipe off the dirt that got onto his pants.)
Disturbed ”There are six spots in this match and five of them will have people who have never stepped foot in a Six Pack Challenge. Things have changed. Just look at the five people I went up against and what has happened to them from last year up to now. Jimmy Helmsley is gone; Psychosis saw his overrated career come to an end in a career vs. career match; Matt Starr… Well, no one has really given a shit about what he’s done or not and until recently he’s been so insignificant people forgot he was even around.
Then there is Troy Turner, he went from becoming the World Champion to now owner and hopefully people forget what happened the last time he was an owner of a federation but will probably fail like he did the last time. Does the UIWF come to anyone else’s mind? And last but not least there is Outkast. He went from being the World Champion going into that match to a dead carcass taking up space in a grave somewhere because his good for nothing life came to an end. Now that just leaves me.”
(The camera spans out and we see tombstones with the names of five of the six participants from last years Six Pack Challenge.)
Disturbed ”My career isn’t dead. I’m still here like I’ve been since day one unlike the others to management’s dismay. No matter how many times management of this company to bury me and leave me for dead, I’ve stood my ground and I’m still here. I’m not going to have my career be put in the ground by them. I’m not going to be like Turner, Outkast, Helmsley, Starr, and Psychosis who got buried because of this fucking company! This company won’t keep me down. They want to try to bring in all this new blood to build around and try to leave me on the sidelines, well, good luck trying. I’m still here! I’m still standing! I’m still fighting and I’ll be damned if I let them just push me aside. And it starts with my qualifying match against Eric Donavan.”
(Disturbed’s jaw clenches in anger as he thinks about the “disrespect” NEW has constantly given him.)
Disturbed ”So it’s me vs. Eric Donavan with a chance at getting into the Six Pack Challenge on the line. It will be me vs. The Irish Dragon. Or it might just be better suited me vs. the Irish prick who loves to talk shit.”
(Disturbed cracks his neck as though he is preparing himself for battle.)
Disturbed ”Eric, you had numerous things to say when it came to me. After listening to what you had to say about me, I come off as quite the asshole. Now is probably an accurate assessment of me but I caught on to some things that you had to say when it came to me and just what you said in general. I listened to what you had to say and it was just bullshit that’s going to get you hurt.”
(Disturbed cracks his knuckles.)
Disturbed ”First you said I’m who is in need of a lesson of how a champion is supposed to act and that you’re qualified to show me. You’re qualified? Really? Tell me when you won a championship here in NEW. Don’t worry I’ll wait for an answer.”
(Disturbed looks at his wrist pretending there is a watch waiting for an answer and then he lifts his head up as though he’s done waiting.)
Disturbed ”Wait, that’s right you haven’t won a damn thing here whereas I have. You’re looking at a former Tag Team and Television champion. So don’t try to tell me and lie to people that you’re qualified when you haven’t won a single title since you’ve been here in NEW. To lie like that just shows desperation on your part because you know you’re going to get your ass kicked on Sunday. Then there’s your attack on my maturity and how what I’ve done about how I talk about respect but then disrespect orders handed down by management, let me let you in some things that will feed your mind some knowledge. First, your damn right I’m going to disrespect management. They’ve done nothing but disrespect me since I’ve been in this company.
You want to brag about how you beat Saddington weeks before I did. Well, here is some news for you; I beat him at the very two first pay per views that this company ever had. I had two victories over him before NEW ever thought about bringing you here. I beat him in the first ever C-4 DeathMatch here in NEW, a match I brought in and do you know what I got for my troubles? Do you know what I got for my reward? I got a demotion down to the Television Title division. That’s what I got. Somehow I had to “prove” myself to the company while the man who I beat twice, the same man who pretty said nothing and was a ghost from most that time frame suddenly gets put in there with Big Phil and it getting put in World Title matches. And I’m supposed to respect them for that?”
(Disturbed mouths the words “No Fucking Way”.)
Disturbed ”Or how about at the first Challenger Series pay per view when Saddington was in his Rig X persona at the time and was World Champion up and left this federation and to replace him in the match they went with Jimmy Helmsley. This is the same Jimmy Helmsley who took his balls and went home and left this company, to come back beat no one of any significance at the time in the four months he had been back and he takes his spot. He was given the spot and I’m left on the sidelines even though the man who he took over for I had beaten twice at that time and I had a victory over the General who was also in that match. But yet I’m supposed to sit back and pretend everything is alright? No I’m not going to do that.”
(Disturbed shakes his head no in defiance.)
Disturbed ”What you really need to know Eric is when it comes to this place, they’ll just choose and pick whoever they want to really be at the top of the helm even if you’ve beaten them. Jimmy Helmsley and Rigormortis X aka Mark Saddington are prime examples and so are Bombtrack and Randy Altzer. You might not like me “name dropping” but I beat both of them twice and nothing happens to my career. I don’t get big push to the top. All of sudden in the blink of an eye I see both of them getting shots at the World Title and I’m just left on the sideline. Hell, I didn’t even get pinned or submitted in last years Six Pack Challenge and I had gotten “eliminated” by a referee’s horrible decision because my arm got broken. Do you think they I got a chance at the World Title after that as a way of apologizing and giving me a chance to actually win it? The answer is NO! Or better yet, you can look at the World Championship history and you will see that I have at least one pin fall victory over seven of them. I have a victory over seven people who have gone on to or were World Champion and yet I have to still “prove myself” being put in there with the North American Championship. It’s simple; if they want them there, management will put them there and you’ll be singing a different tune when it’s you who gets the shit end of the stick.
And just so you know, you brought up my maturity about putting my hands on employees and intimidating them and saying yeah that’s how someone is going to be considered for the World Championship, well the current World Champion James Stall has bragged about doing that same thing and look at where he’s at. So before you try to talk and make yourself sound foolish, you might want to study up on what has gone on here.”
(Disturbed smirks.)
Disturbed ”Then there is you talking about how you mostly backed up your talk in your rematch against Tombstone. Did you really? I believe what you said going into the match against was and I quote “”I have forced you to look within yourself and realize that I am the Chosen One that will put your dominance to rest and add your championship to my long list of accolades.“ Now did you put his dominance to rest? NO. And did you add his championship to your long list of accolades? NO. It is because you said there was going to be a war? I don’t about you, but when you say you’re going to do three things and you come fail on two of the three then yeah you didn’t back up what you mostly said. And yeah, I didn’t leave as the North American Champion like I hoped I would but at least I unlike you can say I wasn’t the one who got pinned. I wasn’t the one who got pinned to end the match that was you. You can sit there and say all you want about how you pushed Tombstone to the limit and what not like you did going into the match, but in the end he seemed to find the way to win where all you could find was the way to lose. Yeah, I didn’t win my match either. Sometimes things just don’t go your way but when people look back at the history of this company they’re going to look back and see that it was you who got pinned by Tombstone and it was Jack Erickson and not I who got pinned by Wildebeest. And you’re going to know what it feels like to lose again.”
(Disturbed rubs his hands together thinking about feasting on Eric Donavan Sunday night.)
Disturbed ”You said for me to say things so you can have a reason to hurt me? You’re really going to hurt me? What are you going to be able to do to me? Troy Turner wanted to hurt me. Jimmy Helmsley wanted to hurt me. Jake Hammer wanted to hurt me. They all wanted to put me down for good and they all failed so what the hell do you think you can do that they weren’t able to? Two of those people I just named are multiple time World Champions and yet here I stand still while they’re gone! You can try to do whatever you can! But in the end it will be nothing. I will get back up and I will show up again. You’re not going to hurt me! The one who will get hurt is you. You will feel pain and soon people will be seeing your name on a grave just like this with your career finally being over. All the talk you had to say, I’m going to relish when your face is covered in your blood. I’m going to relish dropping you on your neck. You talked a lot when it came to me and it will be your downfall.”
(Disturbed mouths the words “You’re Done.”)
Disturbed ”I’m the last of a dying breed. I’m the last piece of what really are the origins of this company. While some have come and gone, I’ve never left! The main names that some say built this company are no longer here. They’ve gone on to other things, but I’m still here and going to show it when I win a spot in the Six Pack Challenge. People like Eric Donavan who has done nothing to even warrant getting such a chance, the people this company really wants to push in this match will fall to their knees because I’m not going anywhere. Send the man who has just shown he has no idea what he’s talking about when it comes to this company. Send whoever but in the end, I will leave victorious! I will keep going until I get what I’ve deserved for over two years! I will keep going and going until that finally happens. And this company is going to have to kill me to be through with me! Troy Turner, Outkast, Psychosis, Jimmy Helmsley, and a relevant Matt Starr, they’re all gone, but I’m still here and I’m still standing! I’m going for that belt, and I will damned if anyone fucking stops me!”
(Scene fades to black.)
