PART ONE: HOME AWAY FROM HOME
"Uh oh bro, I think I'm finally about to beat you!"
The camera fades in to show Romeo Stylez and Johnny Bloomers spending time inside of Romeo's lockeroom. Granted the event wasn't taking place inside the GM Place for another few days, Johnny attempted to help Romeo with an unusual task. For this upcoming match, he wanted his lockeroom to feel more like a second home. And so, he and Johnny had spent the last few nights hanging out in the room. There was furniture and decorations to help make it feel like more than just a spacious dressing room. There was a flat screen television and a purple couch set up for playing XBOX. There were also posters of all the women of NEW both present and past. Sexy poses from retired wrestlers like Alexi Priest and Zenna Zdunich, as well as Zoe McDraven, Jennifer Taylor, Lizzbethia, Misty Lyn, Reya Serra, Ruby Red, and tag team champion Brandi Storm. While all the posters seemed like just an attempt to make the room feel a bit manlier, there was one that had some special attention to it. A poster of former NEW wrestler Nikki Blaine was decorated with glitter, and a pink marker that drew a heart around her face.
Inside this temporary home away from home sat Romeo and his pal Johnny. Sitting across from one another with a small plastic table separating them. On the table laid plenty of weird playing cards with creatures and magic spells on them. Laying in front of Johnny Bloomers was two wolf monsters, a giant spider monster, and a spell card with a catapult on it. His line up appears to be much more intimidating compared to Romeo, who currently has a troop of two fluffy bunnies, and a rainbow colored pony. Still The Sensational had something in front of him Johnny did not, a card laying face down. And whatever that card seems to be. is enough to make Romeo believe he'll FINALLY beat Johnny Bloomers in something. But it would appear that it's Johnny's turn, and after drawing his next card, he informs Romeo that this game shall end like every other.
"Sorry brother, but it seems like there is some higher power that refuses to let you beat me. Because I've just drawn Sebastian, the Stalwart of Vengeance!"
Johnny reads the name of his card with pride, as he sacrifices his three other creatures to summon his most powerful creature card.
"Sebastian is a limited edition card Romeo, he's got enough attack power to wipe out a player from full health with one attack. I told you not to play Monsters and Magic with me, I've been collecting these cards since before i could walk. Now if you'll excuse me, I think it's time I have Sebastian destroy all those adorable creatures of yours."
Johnny looks like he's about to get out of his chair, assuming the game is over, but Romeo's confidence hasn't weakened at all. Before the game can end, Romeo jumps out of his chair and yells with glee that Johnny has -
"YOU'VE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!"
Johnny's eyes grow wide, as Romeo turns his hidden card around. A pair of two hand shaking is shown, and while Romeo seems like he's delivered the killing blow, Johnny just smiles and shakes his head.
"Peace treaty? What a lame card RoRo, that doesn't even hurt Sebastian."
"Yeah but he can't attack!"
"That card only lasts until the end of my turn, and ya know what? I think I'm gonna end my turn right now!"
Johnny tries to take the wind out of Romeo's sails, so to speak. But when Romeo removes his trap card from play, and draws another card, his smile grows even more. In fact, if it is at all humanly possible, Romeo Stylez may actually be glowing.
"YES! I drew my favorite card!"
Romeo begins to take his three creatures off the field, using them as sacrifices to summon something even more powerful like Sebastian. Johnny looks nervous for a moment, but then stares at the attack and defense stats of the newly summoned creature and laughs. Still, Romeo declares his move like a field general deploying his troops for the final battle.
"I summon to the field, Mina the Maternal! With her motherly instincts she allows me to summon two child tokens with 10 attack and 10 defense onto the field!"
Romeo removes two coins from his pocket, and lays them on the table representing Mina's children. The camera zooms in on the card, and while the woman on the card looks like a total babe, it shows she has an attack power of 0. She does make up for it with a defense of 69, but it's still unclear what Romeo's master plan is.
"Listen bro, I hate to break it to ya, but I've never even heard of that card. I mean she's got no attack power, and her children are virtually useless compared to my Sebastian and his 200 attack power. As soon as it's my turn again I'm just gonna wipe all three of them off the map and win yet again!"
"But you haven't heard about her special power yet!"
"Bro, unless her power it to look so damn fine that it makes my pants fit tighter I don't think she has one."
Romeo points to some small printed words underneath the photo of his super sexy magician and while the camera can't quite pick it up, Romeo is nice enough to read it out loud.
"Well bro it's kinda like this, ya see this Mina broad is downright charming. So charming in fact, that when I summon her, I'm allowed to temporarily take control of one of my opponents creatures. And since you've only got one creature for me to take..."
It's all beginning to make sense, as Johnny shakes his head no. But it's too late, there doesn't appear to be anything he can do to stop Romeo, or his very attractive Mina card. Have I made it clear enough that anyone regardless of their gender or sexual preference would totally have sex with this chick? Because they totally would. Anyways back to the card game.
"Remember how you were talking about how Sebastian has so much attack power, well let's see if your theory about winning in one attack was right."
Romeo grabs Johnny's card, and slides it to his side of the table. Johnny's whole body is shaking, and he's beginning to sweat. Then, after enjoying the moment a few seconds more, Romeo pulls the trigger.
"I attack with Sebastian the Stalwart of Vengeance!"
While there is no actual attack in real life, the blow is devastating and causes Johnny to drop to his knees and let out a bellowing cry.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And with that, the game is over, and for the first time in the history of everything, Romeo Stylez has defeated Johnny Bloomers. The only thing left to do, was celebrate like a boss.
"WOOHOO!!!"
Romeo jumps onto the cheap plastic table, which is somehow sturdy enough to hold his weight. He begins to perform some kind of irish jig, causing all of the cards, except that super sexy Mina card, to fly around the room. He then leaps off the cheap table, which collapses immediately after, and lands on the purple couch. He reaches down next to the couch and pulls up a plastic bag. First he pulls a two liter bottle of orange soda out of the bag. He shakes it up and pops the cap open, shooting soda everywhere. Then he goes back into the plastic bag, and pulls out a bag of Doritos. He tears the bag open, violently, which causes chips to fly across the room. He jumps up and down on the couch, then runs around the floor, crushing all the chips with his feet. The entire room looks like a disaster, as he runs around tearing off the posers of New Era's lovely female competitors. That is until he gets to the one with Nikki Blaine. His celebration stops for a brief moment, but then he turns his attention back to Johnny, who is still on his knees. Romeo points both index fingers at him, and begins to yell as loud as he can.
"I BEAT YOU! I BEAT YOU! I BEAT YOU! I BEAT YOU!"
He continues his wild celebration, until somebody knocks on the door. He goes silent for a second, and Johnny gets up off his knees. The door creaks open, and we hear a familiar voice.
"What the heck is going on in here?"
The door flings open completely, and we see fifteen year old Rebecca Black. She's sporting a Romeo Stylez t-shirt and jeans, like a good friend should. But as she looks around the room, she can't help but hide a little bit of disgust.
"Seriously what happened here? This place almost looks as bad at the North East. Did Sandy make an unexpected trip?"
"Don't worry Rebecca, it'll all get cleaned up won't it Johnny?"
While he still can't believe he lost, Johnny reluctantly answers Romeo's question.
"Yeah, I'll clean it up."
Rebecca's face goes from disgusted to amazed in 0.7 seconds before she screams with joy.
"Wait you actually beat Johnny!?"
Romeo nods, and him and Rebecca run at eachother and hug, screaming like two teenage girls. Ofcourse this is normal for Rebecca because she is a teenage girl, but Romeo, well he definitely loses cool points. Still it takes nothing away from Romeo's accomplishment, but before he can tell Rebecca all about it, Johnny gets a phone call. Everyone stares at Johnny as his phone lets out "Hey I just met you, and this is crazy. But here's my number, so call me maybe." Johnny quickly shuts off the ring tone, but it looks like it was just a text message. The first reaction Johnny has when reading it is disappointment, but then a sly smile creeps up on his face.
"Yo RoRo, I'd love to clean up this mess man, but it turns out NEW wants you to send them an interview segment A.S.A.P."
Johnny is sure this is gonna work, just like he was sure he was going to win. But the theme of today is Johnny being wrong, as Romeo responds with an unexpected solution.
"It's cool bro, I'll find a replacement interviewer while you get this place cleaned up for us."
So surprised by Romeo's suggestion, Johnny drops his phone. He doesn't even bother to pick it up before he tries to talk his way out of cleaning up the room.
"But who are you gonna get on such short notice? I mean Isabel has been clinging to James Stall since he won the world title. Plus she's kind of gone nuts don't ya think? Oh and Thumper, trust me dude you don't want Thumper. If that guy isn't in the middle of an interview he's out getting drunk or doing drugs, hell sometimes even an interview won't stop him."
Romeo nods, admitting that substituting Johnny with one of NEW's other interveiwers might not be the best idea. Still, after all the humiliating or degrading tasks Romeo has had to perform after losing to Johnny, there was no way he was letting Johnny get out of this. Then, the light bulbs goes off in his head, and he looks over at Rebecca Black, who has been surveying the damage of the room this whole time.
"I've got just the replacement, this interview is going to be..."
He tries to think of the right words to describe his plan, but only two words come to mind.
"Razzle Dazzle!"
And with that, the camera fades to black...
PART TWO: BEST INTERVIEW EVER
The camera fades in, and we immediately see Romeo Stylez sitting on a black leather chair. He's dressed up with bright colors. A bright hot pink head band with glitter spelling out Romeo Stylez. His jacket is white and black zebra print on the right half, and cheetah print on the other. It has fur (or fake fur, because Romeo does not endorse cruelty to animals) in random areas. It also has buttons of different sizes and shapes put randomly as well. And his pants are so bright and colorful it might make a blind man wince. There are splashes of powder blue, neon orange, hot pink, lime green, and highlighter yellow everywhere. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to where each color begins and ends, but each color wraps around another like swirls. Then the camera shows his shoes, that look like they may have originally been all white, but had been colored in by crayons. There are two matching poorly drawn smiley faces on the front of each shoe. With a smile, Romeo Stylez welcomes the viewers to this upcoming segment.
"Ladies and Gentleman, bros and sista girls, fans and haters world wide, welcome to what I expect to be the greatest interview of all time. Since the usual group of New Era interviewers are currently preoccupied, whether it's riding the world champion's um.... coat tails. Or off getting into trouble with drugs and street walkers, or just fulfilling their end of a lost bet, it's left me to find the absolute best replacement I could think of. So as the supposed star of the interview, allow me to introduce my much more interesting interviewer, Rebecca Black!"
The camera zooms out and we see Rebecca Black sitting comfortably in a leather chair as well. She's dressed in a much more professional manner, wearing a black buttoned up blouse, a long black skirt, and black high heels on her feet. She even has her hair put up, looking like a much younger Sarah Palin. In the background they've attempted to find some sort of backdrop, but were only capable of getting a life size cardboard cutout of RAW Randy Altzer. Rebecca has a few small cue cards laying on her lap in case she forgets what she's supposed to say, but she seems excited for her first ever interview.
"Thanks for that great introduction Mr. Stylez. I may not have any formal training but I'd like to think I am well prepared to ask the questions people want to know. For Example: how are you feeling physically after that tough fatal fourway match at Fear Itself?"
"I mean I'm a little sore, every wrestler is a bit sore after any match. But compared to the hell I went through at Vindication 3, I'd say I managed to escape with minimal injuries. There shouldn't be anything preventing me from performing at my best at New TV."
Rebecca nods and smiles, and takes a quick glance down at her cheat sheets. Had she done this while Romeo was speaking it wouldn't even have been noticeable, but she's still doing a pretty good job so far.
"What about the mental and emotional damage after losing your North American Championship? I mean you weren't pinned, and it looks like The Good Doctor will be getting the next shot at it over you. Surely that's got to hurt a little bit?"
While Rebecca, and most viewers expect Romeo to lose his cool for a moment, he actually responds with a smile, and even lets out a small chuckle before responding to her question.
"Listen I heard some people complaining, even my good bro Randy had something to say about this situation."
Romeo looks back at the cutout of RAW standing behind him, then shakes his head when he realizes that while sitting down, he's about eye level with RAW's crotch.
"But let me answer the question for ya Miss Black. Ya see everyone is looking at the small picture, which is The Wildebeest did not pin the champ. But he did beat me no excuses. He was able to pin someone else to the mat before I could, we all entered that ring with the same chance to win under the same rules, and he beat me to the win. After a few days of not being the North American Champion, a part of me thinks this may have been the best possible outcome for me."
Rebecca Black doesn't seem to understand Romeo's answer, and while it isn't on her cards, her instincts get her to push for a clearer response from her friend.
"Are you implying that you're glad you lost the title?"
"It's not that simple ya know. I mean that title put a whole lot of pressure on me. I went into Fear Itself looking to walk out champion, and I fought with everything I had to keep it. But now that's it gone, and I've had some time to think it over, I got exactly what I was fighting for. I was fighting to make sure that title would be taken seriously. There isn't a person on the roster who believes The Wildebeest isn't championship material, and if there is they need to be locked up in the looney bin. I wanted the people of this company, whether it's the wrestlers or the fans, to have a champion they can look up to. The Wildebeest is that guy, in his own bizarre way he still manages to be someone the common man can relate to. He struggled early, but kept working hard, persevered some tough times, and wound up on top. I'm not worried about The North American Championship any more, because I believe in The Wildebeest."
Rebecca understands and nods her head, and quickly tosses one of her cards off camera. She looks back down for a moment, then back over at Romeo.
"Well that's in the past, but I'd like to bring up something else from the past. But it also has an impact on the future, ya see you've been booked to face Bombtrack, and last time the two of you squared off he picked up the win. So what I gotta ask, is what's different in this match up then the last time you two faced one another?"
"Oh where to start. For one, just our physical condition. I mean I know Bombtrack has a history of being in brutal matches, and has superhuman recovery powers, but there is no way in hell he's gonna be one hundred percent when we step into the ring. I mean nobody is ever one hundred percent come match time, we always have nagging injuries and can push ourselves too much in the gym. But I feel I'm definitely stepping into the ring in better physical condition. But what's more important with how my body is doing, is how my mind is doing."
Romeo taps his index finger on the side of his head.
"Ya see for the longest time I've been lost inside this mind of mine. I've been trying to be somebody I'm not. I looked at the stereotypical champion and that's the guy I tried to be. I obsessed over my title like James Stall did, hell like he's doing right now with the World Heavyweight Title. And that works for him, that obsession pushes him forward to be a better competitor. But that ain't who I am, that kinda pressure just kept me down ya know. But since Fear Itself, I've been reintroduced to myself. I remember exactly who I am, and instead of trying to change it for the better, I'm embracing it."
Both Rebecca and Romeo can't help but to smile, as he continues to explain his change.
"I'm not the same guy outside of the ring that I am inside and I've come to terms with that. Outside of the ring, I'm gonna spend time with my friends instead of shining up a golden belt. While most guys my age went out to parties during Halloween I dressed up and handed out candy to the little trick or treaters. Because that's what I wanted to do, I wanted to put a smile on all their little faces. That's all I've ever wanted to do, is make people smile. Outside of the ring I am as harmless as a gentle breeze. But when I step into the ring, I'm as dangerous as Hurricane Sandy."
Romeo's smile fades and he looks directly into the camera.
"No but seriously folks, be sure to donate what you can to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Razzle Dazzle can only do so much, the people of the north east coast need our help."
Romeo looks over at Rebecca, and realizes he kind of drifted off topic.
"Oh sorry. Yeah though this match isn't even close to being the same as our last. Each of us has grown so much since then, it's almost like we're both completely different people."
Once again Rebecca looks down at her cards, but she doesn't ask what's written down. Her fingers begin to fiddle with the card, and it looks like there is something else on her mind. Finally she calls an audible, and throws all the cards away. She looks up at Romeo with concern in her eyes.
"But what do you think about Bombtrack really? I mean not the wrestler, but the guy behind the wrestler. Do you really think he's changed for the better? Do you really think he can be trusted? I mean after all he's done, after all the things he has said. After what he said to me the only time I met him in person."
It's true, when Rebecca Black met Bombtrack he was married to an underage girl from Thailand. He said some very perverted and disturbing comments her way, and remembering that moment has Rebecca on the urge of a breakdown. But Romeo places his hand firmly on her shoulder, and suddenly all her worries and concerns wash away and she feels completely and utterly safe.
"I want to believe Bombtrack has changed. For somebody as wicked and vile as him to find the light, it gives me hope. But I won't ask you to come anywhere near him. No matter how civil he and I may act towards one another, I will never let him anywhere near you. Because it doesn't matter if he's changed or not, I won't let anybody hurt you. Not ever."
So much for keeping this interview light hearted and fun. Romeo turns his attention to the camera, and glares into the camera with his teeth baring.
"Listen Track, this ain't gotta be personal. After your match at Fear Itself you are entitled to a regular match. Just two guys going after one another to see who the better man is. But if the thought of going after the people I love even crosses that once sick mind of yours."
Romeo gets out of his leather chair, and walks up close to the camera.
"Then the damage Nightmare put you through will look like mere child's play compared to the sins I'd commit against you. Nightmare would look like a cute newborn puppy and I'd be the big dog society wants put down. But I believe you're gonna make the smart decision Track, you're gonna leave this match between you and I. So I'm gonna trust you, I'm gonna leave your fate in your own hands, and all I've got left to say is..."
Romeo turns around, and walks back to his seat. Rebecca gets up, the two share a smile, and Romeo turns his attention back to the camera. Even as angry as he looked just a minute ago, it looks like he's already let it all go. And as the camera begins to fade, he and Rebecca collectively shout...
