Dan: You can always tell when someone gets a little... nervous...
Dan is standing outside. It's dark out and by the slick asphalt it is apparent that it had just stopped raining. Only a couple of lights illuminate the area.
Dan: They start blubbering out nonsense. Their mind races at a fast pace as they are backed into a corner. They try to think of any way to get out of the mess they are in. So much so that they start to lose touch with reality and start sounding like a psycho. But not DJP. No. Not Dominique, because that's how he is regardless.
He walks around and avoids a puddle.
Dan: The reason I know the "Haitian Sensation" is trembling? Oh, I don't know. Take your pick. Maybe it was because he prayed so much that he would be drawn last for the gauntlet. So much so that when he found out he was entering last he almost had a heart attack. Maybe because he is so focused on me that he almost forgets that he has a title shot with Mike Miller in the future. If not for his gigantic ego he might have forgotten to celebrate. Or maybe it's because he is revamping his in ring style. No longer depending on his flying knee because he knows it won't work when I am one hundred percent this time. Lately he's been going to different gyms trying to learn a new kimura maneuver. What? You thought I wouldn't notice? No. You wanted me to notice. You want to prove to yourself you can submit me. You play it off as you aren't afraid of me. That my words and statements are ill devised. But one only need to look at the causality of my words to know that they have effected you. They have effected you in such a way that you are trying to change and adapt to this challenge that you have never faced before. Normally imitation is a form of flattery. But in this case it's just a petty insult.
Dan: You expect to go to a gym and learn some sort of submission move in a few weeks. You roll around the mat with someone like a Gracie and think that you will become an expert of that move. And on top of that you even dub it with a poor excuse of a humorous name. Now if that isn't an insult to me, I don't know what is. Whether you know it or not, I'm thinking the latter, you have just thrown the biggest hit to me. You have landed the most damage with what you just did. What you have done is land the biggest move, even bigger than a flying knee or any other strike you could have thrown my way ever. You actually have the nerve to believe for one second you can come into that ring this weekend and lock that move on me? You actually think that I will tap to that, let alone even let myself get into that submission? You're even more idiotic than I thought, and that's saying something.
Dan: Because before this happened. Before this all took place, I thought you were just some idiot who was granted these physical gifts. Pretty much a waste of talent. Blabbering your mouth when you should spend more of your time honing your craft and letting your actions speak for yourself. Living the fast life, not knowing that the faster you live the faster you die. But no. You took it to a whole new level.
Dan: But I have to admit, you aren't the first. There have been many who have tried to emulate me. Because they couldn't figure out a way to defeat me, they tried the old adage "fight fire with fire". Obviously it didn't work out for them. If you ever need an example look up Gabriel Hawn on the huge list of NEW failures.
Dan: And a top candidate for the next name on that list is you. Yeah, you do have the title shot. You did win the gauntlet match last week. You did pin me. But that isn't the end of the story. It hardly ever is.
Dan: You like to neglect that I even exist in NEW. Dan who? Dan what? Who is this Dan Alexander? You pass along and ignore me like you would do to a trig equation because you couldn't solve it on your own and you would much rather insult mathematics instead of admitting you don't know a thing about it. You deny that I am a problem you just can't solve. You deny the fact that no one has escaped my armbar in NEW. Not one single person. All you can do is talk about how you will beat the hell out of me. How you will knock me out. How you will run right through me. You criticize me for hyping myself up when I haven't. You criticize me for hyping my skills when I haven't. It was you whose been hyping himself up all along. Me? I just let the facts stand up by themselves. I am not hiding anything. There is not one thing to hide. I don't take a pencil and eraser to myself and try to modify myself like you do. There is nothing to change. You however do have something to change. You constantly deny my statements about you. You swat them aside as if they are completely false. But your recent actions state otherwise.
Dan: You are listening to me intently right now. Hanging on my every word. Because you know each word I say about you is true. Right now you are being exposed. You fail to block any hit I send your way. You are being lit up brighter than a Christmas tree. And with that light every hole in your game is now in plain sight. You are riddled with holes just like a paper silhouette target. And you can't handle it. You can't handle the fact that I am completely destroying you right now with just words. You can't handle the fact that your own "verbal bullets" don't even hold a candle to my high caliber rounds. And just like many before you like Nathan Blaster you will fall to the canvas fully conscious knowing that you tapped out to Dan Alexander.
Dan: And now that you are an open book we all know what you are going to do next. You are going to tilt your head back and laugh at what you just heard. Because that is all you can do at this point. There is nothing you can say that will redeem yourself. You'll try calling me a foul name. You'll try one upping me by pointing out a non-existant flaw. You'll try your world class potty humor. You'll refer back to your win at the gauntlet match. But all of that won't matter. The whole world will know that you are a bitch at New Generation. You'll be my bitch.
