The scene opens up in a large expansive rose garden, varying flowers of every kind and color litter the pathways as the sunshine beats down on the area. There’s a slight breeze, nothing to be worried about, to make the day even more better than it was. There’s other people walking in this rose garden, enjoying the sites and the smells as well. Out of nowhere it seems, Zoe comes walking up the path wearing a t-shirt with a band’s logo on it and a pair of blue jeans with sandals on her feet. There’s an unknown woman walking next to her and the two seem to be engrossed in their conversation to the point where they completely shut out everyone else around them. People pass by, giving them looks as Zoe suddenly bursts out into a loud fit of laughter at what was said to her. She suddenly stops, mouthing the words ‘sorry’ to anyone that cared to look her way. Her friend stopped besides her, motioning with her hands in the air as she continued to tell the story she was so engrossed in and Zoe was all too happy to listen, reaching her hand out to trail fingertips across a red flower with white designs on the insides of the petals. She wished in the back of her head that she could have something like this in the back of her own house, but then wondered what or when she would have the time for it.
“So, yeah I can’t believe he would do something so stupid like that.”
”Yeah, me either.” Zoe’s response was flat and sounded like she was a million miles away from the current time and place. Her friend, Emily could notice the change in her demeanor and gave her a strange look.
“You okay?”
Zoe blinked slightly, shaking her head as she looked over, smiling, trying to reassure her as best as she could. ”Yeah, I’m fine. Just my mind’s a million miles away at the moment, thinking about that match I have against this TD guy.”
“Huh, your first match of the new year. Isn't this like your first singles match in months? You've been doing the tag team thing for a long time now, since you partnered up with Silver...and then Kise after Silver got hurt. You think your ready for all of this again? It's gonna be different being without yer partner there.”
Zoe nodded, continuing to walk through, the sound of her sandals on the ground beneath her feet quiet. ”Yeah it is. It's gonna be strange being out there without Kise. I've gotten so used to the fact I've had a partner going down to the ring. Now I'm going out there solo to my own music. It's gonna be something to adjust to, but I'll manage."
“Isn't there a number 1 contendership match for those titles on another program?"
”Yeah. Day & Knight vs The Brooklyn Bad Boys on NEW Generation." Zoe said quietly, the corner of her mouth twitching. One of those two were going to come out as the top team to face The Silver Dragons for the titles. Both teams were talented and great competitors, and deserved a shot but she was secretly hoping that it would be the triple B. Day & Knight had their chance ages ago and failed.
“And you're worried about that?"
Zoe sighed nodding her head. She shouldn't be worrying as much about it as she was. The match was gonna be called down the middle and whoever came out on top was who they were gonna have to face. Not much to do about that but focus on what was coming tonight. ”Yes, and I shouldn't because there's not much I can do about the outcome. We welcome whoever wins that and we'll be waiting at the next event for them. Tonight I have to take on TD and that's my focus for now."
“Your not gonna give the guy any leeway are you."
Zoe shook her head back and forth a few times, chuckling. That wasn’t going to happen. Not at all. ”Nope. He’s gonna have a tough time with me. I’m not going to make this first match of the new year an easy one for TD. I'm one half of the tag team champions, and I'm something to be reckoned with when I crawl in that ring. Kise may not be there but he'll be watching from somewhere I know."
“You'll do fine, just breathe and don't do anything stupid or that'll get you hurt. The last thing you need is to be injured and lose that belt."
”You have such little faith in my abilities as a wrestler? I am shocked and hurt by that comment.” Zoe joked lightly, giggling a bit. She knew her friend worried about her own safety and she had to constantly remind her that she wasn’t doing anything overly dramatic or stupid to risk her own health and safety. ”Come on, girl. I’ve told you before, I know what I’m doing. I always do. Don’t worry. I shall not let you down.” She gave a mock bow, causing her friend to laugh.
“Fine. Say I hear there’s a flower here that only blooms in the night time.”
”Oh yeah? What’s it called?”
Her friend started to laugh as she kept on walking, weaving her way through the gardens, smiling at those she passed before stopping at a group of particularly beautiful looking flowers. A finger pointed at the name plate off to the side and Zoe grinned. Now she knew why her friend wanted to show her this.
”Vespertine. How very interesting. A flower that only blooms in the evening. Such a rare thing to see." Zoe whispered, tilting her head slightly."
“Weren’t you supposed to do some promo interview or something for that match later today? You gonna make it?”
”Yeah, I’ll be fine. We have all the time in the world to hang out. I haven’t seen you in a while. Why do you think I asked you to come here anyway? So we could talk and catch up. Trust me, it can wait.”
Her friend nodded her head, seeming pleased with that answer as the cameras continued to follow the two for a while before fading slowly to black, leaving them to their own private time.
The next scene we see as the camera fades in again is Zoe is standing in the flower gardens at night, seeming to be in the direct center of the whole area as she stares up at the sky for a few minutes before looking down into the camera’s lens. She had made it in time to shoot this promo interview for NEWera before TD got something out. She wanted him to see this first and get a good view of his opponent.
"So the new year is upon us all and it's the time of resolutions and new beginnings. Last year was ended on a high note after retaining the tag titles against Day & Knight. This year is gonna be even better. These titles are gonna stay with the Dragons for a long time. But besides all that, tonight I've got a match against you TD. Neither one of us have ever met but on this night we will. I want my first match of the new year to be a good one. I want to start it off right. So let me ask you something TD."
She reaches down, grabbing a handful of loose petals as she stares at the camera.
"Are you ready for the Supernova? I'm ready for you. Ready to lead you to a new beginning." Zoe chuckles, tossing the petals at the camera and then walks away, disappearing into the rose garden itself.
