Why did Xavier get involved? Kidd Love presented an excellent question. One that many people had presented to him over the last few weeks. I mean it wasn’t like Xavier was the knight in shining armor, or even that good of a person. He threw Zenna out of the home he let her live in after her lesbian lover’s slut sister decided to try and put Ross over by besmirching his name and lying about sex that wasn’t anyone’s business. Xavier didn’t lift a finger or say a word to defend Sam or Penny Lane from their constant verbal abuse. Nor did he offer to help the Priests after Psychosis terrorized the ladies of that household. So was it true? Did Xavier secretly want to give Jessica Armstrong a double shot of his espresso. Was he indeed this “gangsta ass nigga” that eyefucked her while he delivered the chrono trigger to her boyfriend?
No…
Xavier empathized with Jessica. She was the good spouse, the one always cleaning up the messes that Ryan Kidd left behind. She keeps Ryan grounded, employed, and tries to help him prepare for his world. Xavier was that man for Angelica. Every time she fucked up he was there. Every time she hurt him, he forgave her and took her back because he could see the good underneath all of those flaws. When it came to matters of the heart Jessica Armstrong was traveling down the same highway that Xavier just exited from.
Xavier was doing this because it was the right thing to do. No one was there for Jessica Armstrong. No one had her best interest in mind. Kidd Love only cared about himself and would throw her under a bus in a heartbeat if it meant that it was going to fast track him somewhere better. Sadly, Jessica couldn’t see what he did. She didn’t see the fact that she was being used. Some days she was a tool an instrument to Kidd. A means to an end, most recently he tried to use her as a weapon to play mind games with Xavier. In Ryan’s mind he really believed that parading her down in her lingerie would somehow weaken Xavier. It had the opposite effect. It pissed Xavier off. It motivated him, validated his cause. If he had doubts on whether or not he was doing the wrong thing by interjecting they were gone now. Xavier had a new found motivation. How could someone use someone they claimed to love in a way that hurt them as bad as he hurt Jessica? The pain on her face was etched on Xavier’s mind. He would remember that at Fear Itself, because he would make sure to return it ten fold to the man that caused.
Just Kiddin’
The scene opens with Xavier Magnus standing in his penthouse in New York City. He is in the outdoor pool area leaning against the railing watching the city light up the night skyline. He is dressed in what would be considered typical Xavier dress. A black t-shirt that reads "F#CK POLITICS", some designer jeans, and a cold Foster’s in his hand. He gets lost momentarily in his view of the city as he sips his favorite beverage. After a few seconds he turns to face the camera. That cold look of determination is etched on his face. Clearly Xavier had something on his mind.
You know I hear Outkast is looking for an opponent for Fear Itself, and to Marc I say simply “pick me Marc, just pick me”
Xavier chuckles to himself. Wasn’t he leaving after Fear Itself? Didn’t he say he was quitting. Of course he did and of course he would take it back if could politic his way into a title shot wouldn’t he? Nope. If he won the title he would retire from NEW as the world champ. That’s how he started here and it would be more poetic than a Big Phil fan page if that’s how he went out.
Bear with me, please before you swarm the message board talking about how I am arrogant and crazy if I think I can ask for this shot. If not me who else? Who else has performed at my level the last couple months? Jimmy Helmsley is too busy hanging up barbies in Blaines closet to step up to the plate. RAW is too busy shitting on someone’s couch. The hero MFTT has been battered and broken by Disturbed. Disturbed of all people? Oh how the mighty have fallen. But was he ever that mighty? Or did everybody start to love him because he simply fought who we all hated? I mean its not like he retired Hannibal Caine, he dropped a fucking light rig on him, and by light rig I don’t mean a freshly liposuctioned cheeseburger flipper from the UK. Although dropping Rig on him might have killed Caine. Dean beat himself, which is ironic when you consider he calls himself the jerker. Nonetheless, point is I doubt Disturbed will leave enough of MFTT at Fear Itself for MFTT to face Outkast. Hate me if you want, but it is the American Truth.
Xavier smirks as he steals Jake Andrews catchphrase, he finishes his delicious beer and tosses the bottle to the side. He reaches into his cooler and grabs another. He twists the top off of the bottle and continues to speak. I saw your little comment about how you would never face someone that was leaving the company even if they changed their mind, and you went on to emphasize that this was YOUR ring. Last time I checked you were licking XFC wounds and fucking cold cuts when I put this company on the map with guys like Nightmare and even Dean Jones. You can say what you want kast about how you want to face the best but it is complete bullshit. You have been riding Travis’ dick behind the scenes to keep that belt haven’t you. I mean you are more fag than Ross and according to Stall that’s pretty gay brah.
Xavier wanted to believe in Outkast. It would be a heartfelt tale for the ages. A man that actually stood for something aside from his own greed and ego. Sadly, that wasn’t the case with the champion, it was a façade, a grand farce in order to lull those around him into complacency. He was a master manipulator, as long as you perceived him as the best you would always expect him to be better than you. He was in your head before you ever faced him. In reality Outkast was just the guy that fucked Terry Queen’s mom and a pastrami sandwich. He was as big of a scumbag as Bombtrack, more morally questionable as Randy Altzer and just as beatable as Demarco Gudex.
I mean you call yourself the champion that is going to usher in a NEW generation, someone that is going to defend and bring honor to the title, but there is a couple of things that just seem too convenient if you ask me.
One, Travis Blaine just decided to let you pick your opponent on a whim? When the fuck has Travis Blaine ever let anyone pick anything on a whim? Jeez you must suck dick better than Jimmy Helmsley to get that kind of politic power.
I mean that didn’t strike anyone else as odd? A month ago Outkast said that he handpicked the four men in the number one contender’s match and now here he is again saying it is him determining who he will defend the title against again. That didn’t seem suspect to anyone else? Not to mention that out of the 4 people in that match the only one that really deserved to be there was Starr. The rest had come off losses against the only notable opponents they recently had faced. There was no Nathan Blaster, there was no Doc Holiday. Hell anyone that had made a huge impact was essentially barred from a shot, because Outkast was calling the shots and decided it was time to reward those that never could grab the brass ring without Outkast putting out the step ladder. Sure he might have said that it was to give the new talent a shot and usher in a new day. That was catchy, it sold well and made him the media darling his ego so desperately craved to be. In reality, Outkast knew that he could beat those men. He was handpicking failure after failure to artificially create a legacy of a talented champion
Two, any and everyone that has spoken up against you or has stated that they want a piece of you is gone. Guys like Dean Jones, Demarco Gudex, good hard working men that put a team on their back all cut from the roster. Why? Simple you duck them just like you duck me. So go ahead and hide behind your cherry picked morality and say that you would never give a shot to me. I’ve never accused you of holding me down, because you can’t whether or not you chose to face me is beyond my control, but title shot or not I will always be better than you. And I know you bloated over inflated ego would never allow you to step in the ring with me to prove it. I mean the only way you will ever be the greatest champion this company has ever seen is if somehow you keep a titan’s grip on that thing by shady backstage politics…oh wait
Wow, I am surprised my feed isn’t cut yet. I will be further surprised if you don’t have your buddy Blaine fire me again before Fear even takes place.
Xavier chuckles to himself. He knew that he would never get the shot despite the fact that him leaving with the title would be a booker’s wet dream. Challenger’s series is right around the corner and it would be 12 hungry lions competing on equal ground to be the new champion. The buy rates would be through the roof. Someone like Doc Holiday, James Stall could shatter this glass ceiling that Outkast has set his recliner on. Xavier saw through Outkast. He was a man that said he cared about competition and taking all comers, but the fact of the matter was he was just another wrestler that needed the ego stroke around here. That’s one thing Xavier wasn’t going to miss about this place the two faced phony fucktards that worked here.
People wonder why I leave, well look at the fucking cluster fuck of a booking system we have here. Clusterfuck tag matches for singles titles where a guy gets fired for not taking his promotional duty seriously to be replaced by a guy on a massive losing streak that doesn’t take his promotional duty seriously. A newly crowned champ hand selects his contenders and acts like he is the best in the world? I mean for Kise sake you beat Matt Starr after he had 3 months of brutal matches week after week. A strong wind could’ve knocked him over by the time you ran him through the gauntlet to get to you. Guys like Chris Rollz and I have consistently beat people’s asses over the last couple months. No one has touched me in that fucking ring. Not Kidd Love, not Adam Jones, not even what is honestly the only thing redeeming about this company Doc Holiday could stop me. You know what the difference is between those guys and I? They all had a shot at a title or a number one contender’s match and me well I am considered a liability. Well come Fear Itself I won’t be liable for my actions. I will hurt Ryan Kidd. I will break him, this is just about going 3 and 0 on him. This isn’t just another victory. This is almost two years of frustration and pent up rage against a corrupt booking system that only rewards dick riders and losers. My attitude may be questionable, my ethics, my desire to stay in this company are always under the microscope, but one thing never is and that is my ability.
So if Outkast doesn’t have the balls to face me that is fine. Kidd Love will be that sacrificial lamb. He will be the final example of why Xavier Magnus will always be the best damn talent to ever step foot in this fucking place. The fact that I get to free Jessica Armstrong from the tyrannical asshole was enough to get the job done before, but now THIS MEANS SOMETHING…
Several borrowed catch phrases aside Xavier spoke from the heart. When it came to Fear Itself he would give it everything he had. He was the best that this company had to offer and if Outkast was man enough to respect that and give him the shot that he deserves after 6 straight wins then great, if not it would just be another disappointment in the long list that New Era has left him. Regardless, he had another mission as well. A mission to end this with Ryan Kidd once and for all. There would be no doubts, no questions, after Fear Itself Xavier would be gone, but he would leave the best damn wrestler this company had ever hired
