“Drip. Drip. Drip”
Why is that tap always dripping? You’d think someone would have fixed it by now..
“I don’t think you have what it takes Psych.”
Psychosis’ chuckle follows.
“Don’t fucken’ laugh.”
Another chuckle.
“I. Don’t have. What it.. Takes?”
More laughter.
“Yeah mother fucker. You don’t have what it takes. I don’t know why I’m wastin’’’ my fucken’ time.”
“It’s all going to pay off.
“Only fucken thing payin’ here is welfare mother fucker.”
“He will make it work.”
“Oh Jesus fucken Christ don’t start with that fucken shit nigga.”
Another chuckle.
“Get a grip homie. I’m getting’ the fuck outta here and I ain’t comin’ back ‘till you get yo fucken mind together.”
Another chuckle. More dripping.
“Thanks Jack.”
Another chuckle.
“My mentor”
One final chuckle follows as we begin to fade in to the present day.
It’s New York City. It’s a brisk Autumn (or fall) night and the full moon shines down on a city that never seems to sleep. Yeah, it’s a cliché. Fuck you. The streets are bustling and as usual there is a lot of people out there trying their hustle. Street vendors with (possibly) stolen books and DVD’s by the truck load. The camera makes it’s way through the street, the soft gust of wind makes us move quicker for whatever reason. Eventually we find our way to thirty fourth street and the apartment buildings are overwhelming. Soon after making our way down the still very busy street we get to a series of apartment windows, the camera scales it’s way up the side of the building until we get to a pair of large windows with black curtains inside.
It’s Psychosis’ “hide-away”.
It’s obvious that Psychosis has since moved Alexi and the baby, he kind of had to if he didn’t want Priest to come crashing in. Alexi is tied to a chair in the corner of the room, her mouth has a cloth over it and she in blindfolded. In the background we can hear the crying of Robbie’s child. Psychosis is standing there right next to Alexi, he is wearing a black and white mask, a plain red t-shirt and blue jeans. Psychosis runs his hands through Alexi’s hair as she cries and tries to kick Psychosis away. Psychosis chuckles to himself softly.
Psychosis: If only Robbie could see his beautiful family.
More cries continue in the background as the smile leaves Psychosis face.
Psychosis: Would you tell that thing to shut the hell up?
Muffled cries are heard from Alexi as Psychosis turns his attention to the child in the corner.
Psychosis: The pride and joy of Robbie Priest.
Psychosis leans down and holds his hand out.
Psychosis: And I have taken it all away. Just as quickly as it all came to be Robbie I took it away from you. It makes you angry doesn’t it? It makes you scared. You don’t know what I will do, you don’t know what I am really capable of.
Another chuckle follows as Alexi is heard struggling on the other side of the room, she is desperately trying to escape, trying to get back into the arms of her husband who has failed their family. Her husband who couldn’t keep them safe.
Psychosis: I would have thought you would have been here already. I would have thought that you would have found me. I bet you are running all over this city. I bet you are jumping in taxi after taxi trying to work out where I am.
A pause follows as the cries from Robbie’s child get louder.
Psychosis: Thirty-fourth street. That’s where I am Robbie. That’s where I am waiting for you. It’s a big place, this city. It can get confusing, it can get inside your head when you lose your way.
A smile comes to Psychosis’ face.
Psychosis: It’s getting pretty crowded up inside there right now isn’t it? There isn’t much more room for rational thinking. There isn’t much room for Robbie to be able to plan how he is going to walk out of Fear Itself with a belt around his waist. I have done everything I need to do, I have had you worked out since day one. You don’t deserve your gold back Robbie, just like you don’t deserve other nice things. Like a family.
The cries have now stopped as Psychosis now has Robbie’s child in his arms. Psychosis stands there and stares at the camera as the sound of Alexi struggling get’s louder and more desperate.
Psychosis: “Rock-a-bye baby in the tree tops. When the wins blows the cradle will rock. When the bow breaks the cradle will fall. Down will come Robbie, family and all.”
Another chuckle follows as Psychosis turns his attention straight back to the camera.
Psychosis: Come and find me Robbie. We both know this city never sleeps, and if I can help it these two will never be able to do that again. Next weekend when we step inside that ring I am going to make you lose control.
Psychosis places the child down on the ground again.
Psychosis: I am going to be in your head for years to come, and I am going to walk out of that ring still better then you and not only will your fans be ashamed, so will your pathetic family.
Psychosis walks back over to Alexi and once again runs his hand over her face.
Psychosis: No wonder she’s here with me and not with you.
More cries come from Alexi as Psychosis continues to chuckle as the scene slowly begins to fade..
