This is the beginnings of Mayonaka as I began to shade her in using regular pencil. The final evolution of this drawing follows.

This is the final picture of Mayonaka in her entirely lead pencil drawing. The following picture is a completely redrawn picture of her in colored pencil.

This is a color pencil drawing of Mayonaka. The colors and the proportions of her body, wings and tail are very well done in this drawing.

This is a drawing that I have started and not yet finished. I don't know if I will end up finishing it, but what is happening in the picture (Since it is a bad quality picture) is Mayonaka is sitting in a nice nature-like environment with the wind blowing gently through her fur and around her.

This is a drawing of Mayonaka using her Moon Beam. If you look closely, you can see the different colors as described in the story.

It does look nice, girl. Though I do suggest you use some contrast when editing the images. It'll make them pop out more and not look so faded.

How would I go about doing that? I'd like to have my art be the best it can be. :)

To get my pictures onto the computer, I take a picture of them with my digital camera.. I hate my scanner, its annoying b/c it doesn't do a good job about 50% of the time.

That's where you fudge it with the blur tool. That's what I do. Do you set it on grayscale when you scan in the line art without the color?

Easy with the editor. Go to Image/Brightness and Contrast and then just start fooling around with the toggles.

You can actually bring out more depth that way. Or use the levels and do that.

The Scanner is a good idea. But if it come out like too 'crisp' and all aliased, that's where the blur comes in to soften it up a bit. That's what I do when I just wanna show off the sketches and not the paintings.

Now, for my paintings, I just desaturate and start coloring without fulling with the blurs.

Surprisingly, I understood every word of that! lol.. Anyways, yeah, I shall experiment a little bit and see if I can't get these pictures done up a little better. I'll post the results when I finish.
