Ausiello:

Next season there will be a major arc involving House and Cuddy's relationship. He says it was postphoned from this season because they couldn't do it properly in just four post-strike episodes.

P.I. Lucas to Be New Love Interest for Cuddy on House

Sources tell me the new character on House, private detective Lucas, has a crush on one Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein)! Apparently, love, like Legionnaires' disease, is an infection that travels through the air—and the contagion is spreading through Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital!

As you may remember, Lucas (played by Six Feet Under's Michael Weston) is the character being introduced for a multiepisode arc this season to act as a foil for the doctors and possibly be the main character in a House spinoff. In the meantime, however, it looks like he's going to be another side in the love polygon surrounding Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie).

Is it just me, or is charming, blue-eyed rogue House not going to take too kindly to some charming, blue-eyed rouge moving in on his very favoritest hottie hospital administrator?

It's OK, though, because if you ask me, persnickety and passionate House is the best kind of House there is. What do you think of this development? Do you think jealousy will finally drive House to declare his intentions to Cuddy? Post your take in the comments!

A NÚMERO TREZE VAI PERDER O CONTROLE NA NOVA TEMPORADA DE 'HOUSE', DIZ SUA INTÉRPRETE OLIVIA WILDE

Posted Image

something...interesting from an interview with Katie Jacobs about season 5

They are currently shooting the season's sixth episode and Jacobs tells me it's an hour that will focus on... wait for it... Cameron and Chase: "Cameron will have a case, and through that storyline, we'll be able to explore Cameron and Chase's relationship and where they're at right now. We have sort of an embarrassment of riches with so many talented cast members, and it wasn't like we were trying to ignore any of our characters, but I think we are doing a better job of utilizing all their talents this year. At least I hope we are."

Transcript de uma entrevista com o Hugh Laurie feita pelo Ausiello:

Quote:

"First part they talked about CTB dying and how upsetting it was. How phenomenal AD and RSL were. HL says he was moved to tears.

The spoilery bits:
H-W
HL. At the beginning of the 5th Season there's a definite coolness between the two characters. That's putting it midly.
That is repaired gradually. Because House is devious and needy. And sets about regaining the confidence and friendship of the only man he trusts really. It's a very devious strategy he comes up with. It's a very pleasing thing. When they are reunited, I find it very pleasing (here he puts his hand to his heart aww) I hope other people will too.

Huddy
A. Reunions, speaking of them Cuddy and House reunited in the sack this season?
HL. .....
A. I just spoke to Katie Jacobs
HL. Right
A. She hinted that probably there's only so much longer these two can dance around it.
HL. I don't know about that
A. The dance is pretty fun
HL. The dance is the main thing, isn't it?
HL. There is a definitive thing between the two of them, it becomes more....How can I put it?
A. Thingy
HL. Yeah, definitively more thingy. Thank you, sir"

On the highly acclaimed season-finale of House, Hugh Laurie's House caused the death of Wilson's girlfriend, creating a rift between the two friends and well-earned heart-break among the show's fans. "We knew (the episode) was something special," says Laurie, one of the many star guests at Fox's party on the Santa Monica Pier's Pacific Park. But he also fears fans may not be completely on board with the story, worrying that, "we've yet to see whether we'll pay a price for it."

Which is why fans may be happy to hear that House and Wilson won't be at odds for long. There's a "definite coolness" at the start of the season, says Laurie, but a warming trend should arrive by the end of the first six episodes.

"Eventually," he jokes, "the lovers are reunited."

Anticipating House, MD Season Five: A Brief Chat With Writer Eli Attie

I briefly caught up with the premiere’s writer, Eli Attie, via email, and he was kind enough to answer a few of my questions. Attie is probably best known as a writer/co-executive producer on the venerable (and departed) series The West Wing, and in the same function on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

Since “Dying Changes Everything” is sets two months after the finale, I wondered what happened during the weeks between the “Wilson’s Heart” and the premiere. (I recall the collective frustration felt by hard-core fans at the beginning of season three, when House returned from being shot and undergoing the ketamine treatment with little reference to House’s recovery.) “Wilson has taken some time away from Princeton-Plainsboro — during which he hasn't spoken to his best friend House,” shared Attie. “Each of them has had time to be alone, to absorb what happened to Amber in the finale. In terms of their friendship,” he added, “we actually pick up right where we left off.” During the two months since the finale, House, of course, has had some time to recover from his head trauma. However, “House certainly begins the season in more than his usual amount of pain,” said Attie. But he’s had “nearly two months to recover, so it’s not a big part of the storyline.”

One thing from the finale that is crucial to the upcoming storyline: House’s powerful speech as he sat in the white bus with Amber. In that poignant scene, House confessed to the dead Amber (really to his own subconscious) his ambivalence about living, preferring to “stay on the bus,” where the is no pain. “It doesn’t hurt here,” he says to her. “I don’t want to be in pain; I don’t want to be miserable,” House acknowledged emotionally. Attie told me that “in many ways, that speech fuels the first few episodes of this coming season, in terms of House and his personal life and the ways in which he tries to cope with what has happened between him and Wilson.”

Asked how House feels about Amber’s death, whether he feels any guilt (or is in denial of his feelings), Attie replied that it’s a “question that will be explored in some detail in the premiere.” He suggested that a central theme of the premiere has House grappling with his feelings both about Wilson and Amber’s death.

With Wilson out of House’s life, says Attie, “House will try to fill that void in his life — but not in a way we might expect (even of House).” There is a hint in the numerous episode previews out there circulating on the “interweb” (as House might say) that Cuddy oversees couples counseling for the estranged friends. “Let’s just say,” noted Attie, “that the first session is not a rousing success. And not for Cuddy's lack of effort and enthusiasm as a counselor.”

Will the rift be repaired (as we all hope it will — and must)? “Obviously, House does not have another friend who's even comparable to Wilson,“ remarked Attie. “There's no replacing Wilson in House's life, and no replacing House in Wilson's. But the rift between them and the damage it causes are very real.”

As to the significance of Cuddy’s sitting with House as he was in the coma and beyond, holding his hand (and looking quite worried), Attie teased: “Not to spoil upcoming episodes, but there's going to be a lot of tension between them, and some of it just might pay off this season...”

The House team is now shooting episode nine (which I believe is being directed by Katie Jacobs, who directed the wonderful “Half-Wit” in season three and “Wilson’s Heart”), which, according to Attie, should be completed by the time the premiere airs on next Tuesday, September 16 on FOX. As a special treat, Hugh Laurie is scheduled to appear on Jay Leno Friday night, September 12.

5x03 - Adverse Events

Breckin Meyer just broke the news to E! that he will guest star on episode three of House this season.

Later this season on House, Meyer will play a Princeton-Plainsboro patient whose disease causes him to get wildly aggressive. (Think Incredible Hulk).

According to a publicist for the studio that produces House, "Breckin guest stars on the show in the coming season as a struggling artist—a painter whose undiagnosed illness distorts his work and his perception, and threatens to undermine his career, his relationship, everything in his life. Of course, this leads House and his team to uncover a much deeper, darker secret beneath Breckin's canvases."

Meyer says, "They can't figure out what's wrong with me. A lot of things go wrong. I blow up like a balloon at one point. I get violent [with] a lady—I get inappropriate."

No matter what happens, I'm sure if there's a girl in a fight at the hospital, House will pull up a chair, whip out some popcorn and sit back to enjoy the show!

When a woman with whom Thirteen had a one-night stand falls ill and has a seizure at Thirteen's apartment after a night of partying, Thirteen accompanies the woman to Princeton-Plainsboro where House and the team take on her case. House jumps on the opportunity to delve into Thirteen's personal life, and he and Foreman search Thirteen's apartment to find any possible causes of the woman's illness. Thirteen suspects the woman's drug use has caused her condition, but she soon finds the patient has a long medical history and has seen several doctors over the past few years. She soon finds out the patient slept with her only to get to Dr. House, and that she had been trying to get House to take her as a patient for over a year. Foreman sees evidence of Thirteen's hard-partying lifestyle and confronts her about her self-destruction, warning her that her attitude is sending her life and her job into a downward spiral. The team takes on the case of a dreary middle-aged man who has been experiencing unexplained recurring blackouts and time lapses. As the team tries to find out what he could be doing during his sleep to make himself sick, his condition continues to deteriorate and his daughter also falls gravely ill. Meanwhile, House finds out Cuddy is going to adopt a baby that is due in two weeks. But when Cuddy meets the birth mother in person and notices a strange rash on her arm, Cuddy brings the mother to Princeton-Plainsboro where her condition worsens. Cuddy must take on the case as both a doctor and a potential mother, and she and the team are faced with a heart-wrenching decision that could risk either the birth mother’s or the baby’s life.

A morte espreita grande personagem!

Posted Image

E quem vai embora: Cameron, Chase, Cuddy, Foreman, Wilson? Seria o Taub, o Kutner, ou a Número 13? No fundo, o mais inesperado de todos seria o próprio House. Será que eles teriam coragem de matá-lo? Será que existiria uma série sem ele?
