The Italian media are reporting that Liverpool are ready to offer Roma’s striker Mirko Vučinić an escape route in January.

Vučinić, 27, is reported to have clashed with manager Claudio Ranieri recently after reacting negatively to being subbed after less than an hour Parma at the weekend – a game Roma drew 0-0.

Montenegro international Vučinić is contracted to the Italian giants until the Summer of 2013.

Roy Hodgson could be set to make a reduced offer of £12.5m for the frontman in a bid to add stock to his frontline options – and to ease the burden on the shoulders of Fernando Torres.
