Character Name: The Consul Gender: Male Race: Human Faction: The Motherboard Partner: CRORQ Image: The Consul how he normally is The Consul in his combat armor The Consul on artificial life support Quote: “To reject change...is unnatural.” Voice Actor: Matthew Wood Appearance: See the images Likes: –CRORQ and his ideals -Manipulating others -Progress Dislikes: –Lord Zellion, his rival. -His own mortality. -Those who do not take things seriously. Pros: –Cunning and manipulative. -Puts forth his best effort in his work. -A skilled fighter, at least when he has his battle armor on… Cons: –Has severe breathing problems, due to this he has to use an artificial life support system often. -Has an intense rivalry with Zellion, believing he should be second in command rather than that robot. -He is not exactly trusted in the Motherboard faction, it is rumored that he is attempting to use CRORQ for his own purposes…which he might just be doing. Background: No one knows his original name, “The Consul” just being a nickname given to him by CRORQ. He was born into this world with an intense case of asthma, it was so bad that the doctors said that he only had a 10% chance of living and had to do various procedures to see to his survival. Due to his strong spirit and with a little help from these procedures he managed to survive through that ordeal, with his asthma slowly being cured, he was soon allowed to leave the hospital as his asthma seemingly went away. As he grew up he harbored a strong liking towards creativity and science, wishing to know more about reploids. When he graduated from university he spent three whole years developing his combat suit, which wielded an assortment of unique weapons which he crafted himself. Unfortunately for him, his asthma came back at the age of 39, it was much worse than last time and he developed pneumonia as a result of it. He did not trust any other doctor to cure it for him, but at the same time he did not want to die at such a young age. So he prepared an artificial life support system for his own use, giving him necessary oxygen, but only temporarily curing his breathing problems. It was good enough for him at the time since he refused to put his trust into any other doctor other than himself. His technological breakthroughs did not go unnoticed; CRORQ took an exceptional liking towards the tragic scientist and decided to bring him into his care. He reluctantly accepted it, and thus he was given the name “The Consul” and was to be the human representative of CRORQ, however seeing as how Zellion is already the mouth of CRORQ this has caused great tension between the two that eventually developed into a rivalry. Personality: The Consul knows that he is mortal and will eventually die, he is a little paranoid, almost always staying by his life support machine unless he is needed elsewhere. He is a higher up of the Motherboard but secretly wishes to take control of CRORQ and use him for his own purposes. He sees robots as dispensable; however he views mankind in the same light. Both can just as easily be used by him, tampered with, and thrown away once he is done with them. Due to his own pride he won’t seek the help of anyone else, believing that he can solve all of his own problems. He seems to be rather uneasy to be around and can be rather strict. His personality seems to change slightly when he is in his combat suit. He suddenly becomes a sadistic vicious killing machine; he even changes the tone of his voice. However he seems to be unaware of this. As when asked about it he will become confused. Weapons: The Consul only carries weapons when he is donning his mechanical suit, in which he gains a number of weapons. -Exploding Golden Peace symbols – Just as the name says, although they may seem harmless and innocent at first, they will burst into a massive explosion, greatly damaging his opponents. -He carries chains with hooks on the end of them; he will either strangle his enemies with the chains, or impale them with the hooks. -He will even bite his opponents with his metal mouth; it’s not just for show. -See the blade in the picture? He loves using that weapon…it is also worthy to note that he never cleans the blood off of it, feeling a rush, and a sensation whenever he sees the blood of his past enemies stained on his blade -There are two tiny built-in propellers attached on two antennae that protrude from the back of his suit, not so much a weapon as it is more of a means of aerial escape. They are retractable. Powers and Abilities: In the suit, the Consul has increased speed and reflexes, he also is fairly strong and packs quite a punch in this suit but his defense is limited, especially considering his respiratory problems that can affect him at any moment. Tidbits and Trivia: –The Consul’s backstory, or at least part of it, was inspired by real events that happened to me. Yeah, I was born prematurely…VERY prematurely (I was supposed to be born in May, but was born in January) and as a result I had a terrible case of asthma, so terrible that the doctors said I only had a 10% chance of living, I had to be in an incubator, I had to have some kind of oxygen treatment, and I had a tube shoved up my nose in order to assist me in breathing. But I remained strong, and here I am now… -I apologize if that above point was a little too much information, but it’s the truth. -With that said, I hope I don’t end up like this guy… -As stated before, The Consul and Zellion have a huge rivalry. -Whenever the Consul enters a room, the temperature drastically drops, he’s just that cold. -He does not remember his old name; he only has knowledge of the title that was given to him by CRORQ. -The Consul's name and design were originally from a villain that was cut from Half Life 2, because of that his personality never saw the light of day so I had to make one up...so I guess you could say that in a way, he's my own original character. -His mechanical suit is from a relatively unknown and bad movie known only as “Skinned Deep” The Surgeon General is the character’s name and to be honest, his design was the only thing I liked about the movie. -Incase anyone is wondering, no…The Consul did not create CRORQ. -The Consul cannot stand others who goof off…this means you, Cloudman… -Currently, The Consul is 63 years old. Sample of how you will role play this character: The Consul closed his eyes as he let his artificial life support system breathe for him. “This damn breathing condition…” he mumbled under his breath. “It may very well be the end of me.” He opened his eyes and smirked. “But I can go out with a bang…” he suddenly heard a knock on his door. “Who is it?” He asked, though it sounded less like a question and more like a demand to know who was interrupting him. “It is Lord Zellion Maloucin, I need to speak with you, Consul.” The Consul heard a menacing monotone voice from the other side of the door. “…” The Consul said nothing at first, until Zellion knocked on the door again. “Come now, this is important.” Zellion said. “Alright, but I am unable to open the door…what with my…life support system…activated, so…come in.” The Consul struggled to say as he had to catch his breath. The door swung open and Zellion marched in the room. “My my, that condition of yours is now worse than ever, is it not?” Zellion scoffed. “Enough of your childish remarks…keep in mind that…I am the human representative…of this faction…compared to me…you are nothing but a simple warrior…under CRORQ’s rule…” The Consul retorted, and then asked. “Now what do you want from me?” “I am the second in command of this faction, you are a mere human. If CRORQ allowed it I could slit your feeble neck right now, but that would be against his wishes.” Zellion said, while gripping his blade. “Now, I have come to inform you that you are needed on two matters.” The Consul breathed heavily and raised his head slightly. “I’m…listening…” He struggled to say in between breaths. “Your assigned duty as stated by CRORQ is to round up as many robots as you can, by force if need be and bring them to CRORQ so he may influence them to join his cause.” “You mean brainwash them?” The Consul asked. “Sure…I can do that…but I am curious, why can’t you or any of your other mechanical partners fulfill this simple task?” “You are a human; you would blend in to populated cities more so than the rest of us could. Besides…my appearance may cause others to become suspicious, while you look enough like a plain ordinary human, those robots would be none the wiser should you approach them and take them back to our lair.” Zellion explained. The Consul laughed a little. “So basically…you’re admitting that I am better than you…” The Consul smiled, oh how long he had waited for a moment like that to come, but unfortunately for him Zellion cut it short by holding his sword up to the wires protruding from his life support system. “On the contrary CRORQ pities you, as do I. Why, one swift movement of my blade, and your oxygen supply would be cut off. So thus would end your tragic tale of pain and suffering.” The Consul began sweating bullets as Zellion said that. “Alright…alright…I take it back…just…give me a moment to prepare, please.” The Consul said nervously. Zellion removed his blade from the wires. “Not so tough when your power source is at risk now, are you?” Zellion said in a tone that was meant to mock him but came out just as emotionless as he was. “I have no emotions, no remorse holding me back, the only thing that happens to be preventing me from ending your feeble life is the great CRORQ himself, and that is only because he sees some use in you, and would rather not needlessly harm a human.” Zellion soon walked to the door, about to leave, until the Consul spoke up. “Isn’t there another mission that you said I was supposed to complete?” “Yes as a matter of fact, there is…I want you to motivate our troops more often, they seem a little…uneasy around you, you would do well to earn our trust. Otherwise, if you betray us, then you shall fall to my blade should CRORQ allow it…which is a fate that he normally accepts for traitors.” Zellion explained. “Are we clear, Consul?” “Crystal.” The Consul responded. “Just give me a moment to prepare…” “Very well, although I have little respect for you, I can respect your needs.” Zellion said as he walked out the door and closed it behind him. “…If I ever get the chance…I shall use that walking computer, along with all of his troops…for my own purposes…The Motherboard should respond to me and me alone.” The Consul said in a bitter tone. “But I suppose that can wait…in the mean time…I should get to work…” So the Consul dressed in his suit, should he need to his mechanical suit would be warped into the city by Oilman, but it turned out that he did not need it, since 5 hours later, there was an incoming transmission from The Consul to Zellion, which he responded to. “How goes your mission?” Zellion asked, leaving no time for any form of idle chit-chat. “I have rounded up ten little robots that are willing to follow our cause.” The Consul said with a smirk on his face. “Although they don’t seem that powerful, I sincerely believe that they can get the job done…I did not even need to use force to bring them in.” Zellion twiddled his fingers together upon hearing that. “A job well done then, human…bring them to CRORQ immediately, our master shall take care of the rest.” Zellion responded. “But of course.” With that, the Consul brought the ten lowly robots into the command room, where CRORQ resided, and on that day they gained ten more lowly followers as cannon fodder. Zellion wasn’t terribly impressed with it, but on the other hand, he didn’t do too badly, Zellion came to the conclusion that the results of this mission were at least average. |
