Now that Berkana and friends are getting some action, it's time make their little sub-faction a little more...official. 1) Current Members: Berkana (Leader) Bloodrose Vinewhip/Split Mushroom Feniri Lunaedge Hyleg Ourobockle/Altoloid Infinity Mijinion/Illumina Metal Shark Player Nana aka Fialar Nu and Xi Pegasota Eclair 2) Alignment: Despite what Berkana would like you to believe, any organization that looks down on society and goes around stealing people’s DNA is pretty well evil. Still, Berkana has noble intentions and not acting evil just for the sake of it. She's just determined to ensure the survival of her race. And as a result, she and her men will do anything it takes to reach those goals, even terrible, twisted things. 3) Purpose: Their aim is to gather the DNA of unwilling subjects to spawn a new generation of reploids. A generation that Berkana believes will represent the rebirth of a race that would’ve destroyed itself. A race that can self-evolve past this war, and ensure the survival of the reploid race. As far as Neo Genesis is concerned, this current generation can be used as fodder for their new generation, punished and enslaved by the new generation, or just destroyed. Either way, those they feel are responsible for crimes against their own race deserve to be destroyed. And even those don’t would’ve been inevitably destroyed anyway. Even though they look down on most factions, they’re not in direct opposition to anyone. They don’t have the manpower to slug it out with anyone. Besides, it calls attention to their operation, and Berkana’s not interested in defeating anyone in battle. At least not until her second generation gets off the ground. However, they’re not above fighting the occasional battle when it suits their needs. But for the most part, they try to remain behind the scenes. 4) Location: ![]() Berkana’s set up shop at the abandoned Brookhaven institute on Laguz Island. Originally, it housed some of Arcadia's most dangerous criminally insane inmates. The island itself was mostly populated by doctors, nurses, and other staff who worked at the hospital. There have been rumors of morally and ethcially questionable treatments and practices being conducted on its patients, but there isn’t much credible evidence to prove or refute them. However, a bloody riot broke out in the asylum around the time Eurasia crashed, and the inmates and staff either died or fled the hellish scene. Due to the ghastly scope of the riot, combined with the asylum’s already infamous reputation, and the whole world being in all-and-out chaos, Brookhaven and Laguz were left to rot in the sands of time. However, after escaping Alpha, Berkana and her cohorts found sanctuary in the notorious sanitarium. With its remote location, fortress-like structure, its myriad of security mechanisms used to contain its violent inmates, and facilities to accommodate Berkana, her loyal subjects, and any number of hapless reploids who find themselves as test subjects A and B, the lustful renegade scientist feels right at home. Some of said security mechanisms had fallen in disrepair, but when you can revive fallen reploids, and there’s an intergalactic arms dealer who you ca buy new security devices from, it’s hardly a dealbreaker. 5) Membership: Odds are, if you’re in Neo Genesis, you’ve been dead at some point. Most of its members are reploids who have been killed, some for only a few years, while others have been out of it since Eurasia. But thanks to Berkana’s DNA Soulchip technology, have returned to life. Naturally, Berkana acts as the matriarch of this little vaguely undead family. Typically, she recruits long-dead reploids such as the Einherjar, who have no clue what’s been going in current events, have no strong attachments to any of the other factions, and thus are generally more likely to see her ideals in a more favorable light, especially since she’s the one brought them back to life. Also, the fact she flirts alot usually entices her recruits a little. And as an added bonus, since her boys supposed to be dead, very few are going to see them coming on a battlefield, which gives them an edge no living soldier has. That isn’t to say all of Berkana’s soldiers are ancient fossils who’ve been dead for ages. Especially since it’s not like you can find dead Einherjar in your backyard. So she will enlist fresher corpses, if she feels they have something to contribute to her cause, and if she feels she can trust them. Bloodrose is the poster boy for guys in this category. She’ll also recruit the living as well, but again, only if they have any real use for her, and if she believes she can count on them. So yeah, while Neo Genesis is open for membership, it’s not as inclusive as the mainstream factions. Any new characters joining would most likely be dead reploids or robot masters resurrected by Berkana. No fleshies. While still-living characters can join her ranks, they first have to be approached by, or have connections to an existing member. Split Mushroom's a prime example. So dead or alive, any aspiring member would need sponsorship from Berkana, Bloodrose, or the Einherjar before becoming an official member. Any questions, or anything I missed? |

Funny, I was long considering moving Metal Shark to this faction, but now that you mention the details, the set-up is just all too perfect. o_o Player has connections to Berkana, really only following the Alpha Army for the sake of his research... and to spy for Isoc. For a long time, I felt Player needed to get what he deserved for being such an evil creep, but on the other, I hadn't the heart to kill off such a crazy-awesome (if not a little disturbing) villain. @_@ With these details, I can kill him AND keep him. =D Then Berkana's goons can uncover him later... somehow. And rebuild him into a new-gen reploid (but without the shapeshifting), just to fit with his disdain of older models. But be warned, he'd probably gather the DNA of every other flunky in the faction~ On another note, let's create a forum for Laguz Island. Yes yes? o.o |

The even funnier thing is, Berkana has had an eye on Shark Player. She's been interested in either trying to recruit him, or just taking his DNA, so this little revelation works out nicely. But don't worry about her goons finding him. Berkana is about to mobilize her boys to harvest the DNA of some of Arcadia's key players, and Shark Player's pretty high on that list. But if she can get Shark Player on board, even better.
I'd rather you didn't devour my servants just for their DNA. Especially since I already gathered and copied all their DNA before I revived them. That's just asking for an ambushing. |

With the sub-plot going between Nana and Whiterose, it might be a good idea to create a seperate forum for Berkana and friends. What say you? |

Yeah, with all the new subfactions popping up, including Umbrella, Neo Genesis’s archrival going public, I reckoned I should finally get around to posting NG’s subfaction biosheet. I should’ve posted this as soon as Berkana showed her pretty face in Neo Arcadia. But that would’ve been a too intelligent thing to do. I choose to believe that it’s Avi’s fault that I took so long to post this. Yes. Way to go, you smelly witch. Seriously, what’s wrong with you? ![]() So better late than never, here are the full details to Berkana’s little clan. Some of it, I’m sure y’all figured out. But there are some details worth mentioning. |
