SEMINAR ON THE PRINCIPLES OF JUDGING DRESSAGE

November 1st and 2nd 2008

Hartpury College, Gloucestershire.


Two day seminar for judges, trainers or riders who are interested in learning more about the correct way of going for dressage horses, how to achieve it and how to judge it.

Course takers will be FEI judges Andrew Gardner and Isobel Wessels

It will include theory and practical sessions on biomechanics and the way of going. Video sessions of young horse classes and novice tests with discussion of the way of going and appropriate marks. Discussion of principles from the new FEI Handbook and a session on judging techniques and other issues related to judging.

It will qualify as a compulsory seminar for Trainee judges and those on Lists 4-6.

There will be a dinner and discussion evening on Saturday night and the charge of £85 will include the two day seminar, B & B, dinner on Saturday night and tea/coffee morning and afternoon. Participants will have to buy their own lunches from the canteen.

The Northern Ball has generously given £1,000 towards the overall costs.
