No i'm not talking about the University of Miami or the NHL team in Carlina. I'm talking about the most deadliest storms on earth. These things always show up in florida and some parts of texas too. Man with all these systems forming recently, we could be hit with hurricanes alot this year than ever before. Have you ever been in one and what was it like? I have...I think twice...yeah. One was Bertha...and it packed a punch. It didn't hit baltimore that much, but we left the winds and rain a whole lot. There was another one that got baltimore in 2002 I think. I forget the name...but the streets were flooded and I saw a tree being knocked down. People who has experinced them....it's a terrible thing for them. They expericed the flooding, the destruction of houses and other vaulible things. I don't know why mother nature created them...but that's the way it goes. It must be worst in japan with those super typhoons. Ouch. |

This is one advantage of living in Canada, I don't get them. I remember last year, when I was on my vacation in Florida, and there was the whole mess about the recent and coming hurricanes. Luckily, we left the day before it came, but it killed the mood of a vacation. The damage was pretty extensive from what I saw. |

At best, all Baltimore, Maryland gets is the weak remnants of the storms, when they get ANYTHING from it. I, on the other hand, get affected many times when places such as Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida get the storms. Have you not forgotten the 2004 hurricane season? There were many strong storms, and I got hit by all of them. Charley, Francis, Ivan, and I believe Bonnie, all though it was a weakling. It was either Francis or Ivan hit ME the hardest, I don't remember which. And in fact, the eye one of these storms, was right over Columbus, Georgia. Case in point--you guys up there don't get anything, if ever, near as bad as we in the south get. |

Well, we're getting rain and wind from the hurricane even right now. It'll be even worse this evening. A few limbs have fallen on the roof. I just hope no trees fall later. |

Sorry to double post but just reporting that another tropical storm has just appeared out there. Tropical storm Emily. Emily is supposed to strengthen to a hurricane, and is supposed to pass right under Fl, so then Texas might be in its path now. |

Double posting would be like posting right after you posted your message. I have no problem with what you did. I hope everything's alright. |

I live in Ohio. I only get the weak remnants of hurricanes. It's supposed to rain for the next 3 days so I'm happy. |

When the hurricane comes close to Fl it will probably pass right under it, and hit the keys, but up here in Tampa Bay we will just get alot of rain. I wouldn't think any wind. |

Well, thank goodness Emily went to Mexico. Florida and the frequently hit Southeast needed a well desevered break from hurricanes. |

Well, at this time last year, we were getting hammered with three hurricanes in a row. It hasn't been like that so far this August. I'm glad of that. |
