All i gotta say is.....goodness. I almost saw it coming but I didn't believe it would become reality. But it is. And the biggest joke of all is that sony can almost do nothing about it. Sony must've made this thing non protected from hackers. So....this is the result.

PSP fan...good luck. Just....good luck.

I expected this to happen. The DS has won Japan, and it can't be touched by pirates. No pun intended.

He just kept talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one had a chance to interrupt. It was really quite hypnotic. - Captain Picard

I’m glad this has happened, it will make emulation even easier on this!

What's wrong with it being hacked? It just means you can now run homebrew software. If anything, that should make people want to buy it more.

Maybe they should have spent more time designing it and what not, and maybe the dead pixels/buttons would work better along with it, too?

The thing is, that when you buy a system, and the people making the system don't want things like emulators on it, you are in a game of cat and mouse. To play new games, the games will require you to update your system. And then if you don't that means you bought a PSP to play old Nintendo games on. The other problem is, that the PSP will never emulate newer games, like the PS, SS, or N64. Its having enough touble with a full-speed SNES emulator. The DS isn't unhackable, Nintendo just doesn't care, because the games aren't going to be copied and downloaded online, like Sony's. In fact, I am able to play MineSweeper and the Lummines on my DS, because someone programmed a clone from the ground up. I put it on my media adapter, and bam. The DS also has things like PocketNES, a full speed, fully functional NES emulator, Goomba, a full speed GB/GBC emulator, and a newer less stable SNES emulator. So, in terms of hacking, the DS is quantum leaps ahead of the PSP, look at WinDS. Nuff said.

I haven't kept up with emulation on the DS much, but I do know It's doing well on the PSP. I got NesterJ, which runs NES ROMs at full speed. RIN which runs GBC/GB ROMS at full speed, and UO_SNES which runs SNES9x which runs many games at about 100% speed. The SNES emulator needs some work but people are saying it will be able to run games perfectly soon. Super Mario RPG plays at about 65%-80%, I get every update and it seems to be getting much better, hopefully it will be perfect soon.
