As if Xbox 360 was enough. Nintendo decides to steal the attention and come out telling us that this new nintendo console will do something I was hoping they'd do....let you play DVDs and use the DVD disc format. Should they use the same double layer disc thing that MS is using for 360?? And you know damn well sony is gonna make their controllers wireless too.....so don't be suprised to hear that. All I know is....don't forget Nintendo is here too, and their just as big in this war as MS and Sony are. |

I think by not letting tons of info get leaked out like MS, they have a huge edge. Nintendo that is. They gave us little portions that suffice. Now PS3 just seems kinda nowhere right now to me. |

You're probably right Nigel. I think Nintendo will fair better in the long run by not leaking too much information out. People would give their hopes up and not know what to believe eventually. |

I've found Rev. news, pics to. USA Today has just revealed possibly the first ever pictures of the Nintendo Revolution, following on the revealing of the Playstation 3 at the Sony Conference and release of further information about the Xbox 360 at Microsoft’s Conference earlier this morning. The Nintendo Revolution is around the size of three standard DVD cases stacked together, and has no visible buttons, knobs or controller ports on its appearance, and therefore will use wireless controllers, similar to the Wavebird. The console can also stand horizontally or vertically. The Revolution plays games on full sized DVDs as well as GameCube games on the smaller sized mini-DVDs, and USA Today have reported it will also be able to play DVD movies. Out of the box, the Revolution will have a free broadband internet based matching service for players, similar to that of Xbox Live, and, according to the report, include downloadable versions of every Nintendo game, such as the original arcade version of Donkey Kong, and GameCube hit, Super Mario Sunshine, however it is unknown if these downloads will be free. While Sony and Microsoft have said their machines will be far superior to their current consoles, Perrin Kaplan of Nintendo said "it's not all about having 'turbo power. It's about what you do with it.", and went to say the Revolution will be two or three times more powerful than the GameCube. Bear in mind, Sony and Microsoft may exaggerate their specs, whilst Nintendo chooses to stay closer to the truth, so this does not mean the Revolution’s graphics will be vastly inferior at all. Richard Doherty, an analyst at The Envisioneering Group made clear that the Revolution, like the Nintendo DS, will be very easy for developers to make games for and "they do not need to make major changes from the games they were designing. They have better performance without having to do a lot of extra work." Finally, Kaplan stated "we've built Revolution around the concept of 'all-access gaming, We're about sticking to the soul of gaming." Stick with Cubed 3 for the Nintendo conference at 5pm GMT, to see possibly even more of the Nintendo Revolution. Keep in mind I'm at school, so I can't check IGN for updates. :( |

Dissapointing. I'm sorry for all you nintendo fans here....but too me Nintendo left a bad taste in our mouth. No controller present.....all CG when showing the games....and hardly anything else was shown. So far MS is clearly the winner of E3. Is nintendo telling me that they aren't gonna give much effort in this next console war?? |

Your pics are not showing up.... Anyway, that thing is SMALL. It's like the size of a CD player. Cool light and stuff too. Sadly, no controller.... |

Uhh, it's a CONCEPT! They haven't even gotten past alpha stage yet, so don't be surprised if a render might leave some things out. There will be controllers, bet on it. But still, the way that thing looks, so sexy. |

Ok well I expected too much from them. I think they always pull this with the hushing of new ideas and stuff. I think they're gonna show most of their beef and potatoes at the upcoming TGS. |

Umm, that Metroid game you saw was not a render. There were no renders. Looking back it wasn't such a bad conference. The Revolution is looking good. More information is just needed. I mean the console won't be launching 'till next year, and there are alot of rumours of SpaceWorld. All the stuff we got from the conference was actually awesome, everyone was just too hyped. |
