Here is the place to talk about the new Zelda game that is coming out in 2005. Well anyway I think it will be fantastic! I can't wait to play as the new Link. Also realistic lanscping. This game is going to rock! :D |

I agree. But I also think they should take their time on the game too. It's no doubt the biggest game of 2005 for the gamecube, and this could be the best zelda game ever. |

They have been working on this game for quite some time now. I've heard they have been working on it for about 5 years now. |

I doubt that....5 years...come on. Didn't Wind Waker come out in 2002? So how could this game have been in development for 5 years?? |

You know companies can work on more than 2 games at once. And I read some article on it online. But I have no clue where I did though. |

Um, five years is ages to have a game in development in the industry. You've more than likely got your information wrong. In any case I hear around 3 years of development has been going on for the game. I mean it shouldn't be too hard to make, since they're using the same basic engine as Wind Waker. And if you don't believe me: "As far as the underlying engine is concerned, what we've shown here is actually the exact same engine as Wind Waker. We've only placed a different look over the top of it." -- Series Producer, Eiji Aonuma. Don't get worried though, you'll still have tweaks to the engine obviously with the new horse action, dungeon view, world map and more. Anyway, the new Zelda is probably the game of the year. I can't wait 'till we have hands on impressions from E3. |

Well ok. I guess the info I got was wrong then. And yes I do reconize the engine is about the same as WW. One of the reasons is I noticed the fire is the same, and when you destroy an enemy they blow up the same way as WW. But the smoke is just a light purple blue, instead of a dark purple. |
