The weird thing is... Julie's song was by far the best selling song on iTunes before the semi and you can't say her performance ruined it. Alone is at 145 in iTunes.. I guess in a country like Norway that must mean like 5 people buying it or something xD

She was really bad, probably the worst of the semi :o

I better listen to Datarock then Bree :o

umm since i don't have your revote votes then yeah you should listen just for that reason :P

and i figured you'd like the folk song though i don't understand why ballads with pernilla-ish dullness only appeal to you.

Because they have enchanting folky elements? I'm not really into some diva belting out some cheesy love song or some Pastora type crap

Ulvetuva:
Once upon a time, of old
Two young people traveled across the mountains
They wanted to see into the future
For the girl was expecting little ones

But late on the road home their fears came true
"Go get help, mother earth is calling"

Go now, quick as the wind
And hide me in the depths of your heart
In the raging of the storms I'll be hoping
For you to come and rest in my embrace once more

Far away she lay alone
Gave life to little ones on the wild moors
He chased down the steep hillsides
And by midnight made it to a farm

But mother and children never saw another day
Because out of the darkness grey wolves appeared

Go now, quick as the wind
And hide me in the depths of your heart
In the raging of the storms I'll be hoping
For you to come and rest
Go now, quick as the wind
And hide me in the depths of your heart
In the raging of the storms I'll be hoping
For you to come and rest in my embrace once more

Courtesy of Norwegian escforum guy who 'tried'

And Dara, Gromth and Datarock are still awful.

so dude takes off and leaves her in the woods to die? who the hell goes on a journey when they're expecting?

seems more like an allegory on the folly of youth :P

oh i'm sure it's nice , i just can't get into it musically , that is where it's failing me. it might have to grow. needs more oomph , i want to hear those violins cry!

Well well... I'd totally take the journey if I could see the future. But then again I'm young and foolish xD But I'm still curious.. the song isn't long enough, did the future show them their death? Because they were on the way home. :hmm:

i think the future showed them their death because it says "their fears came true"

ok now i get one part of it. it's actually a bit of a love song as she tells the man (to get help)

Go now, quick as the wind
And hide me in the depths of your heart
In the raging of the storms I'll be hoping
For you to come and rest in my embrace once more

oh now i want to listen again.

Oh Caroline you like Margaret? Ok help me here because I don't trust escforum I think they're trolling (everyone is like best song ever, it should win esc, like FULL ON fanwanking :P)... what is so good about it xD It has this noise in the background that sounds really fuzzy, it's like some mega cheap version of a modern song to me, like I don't know, it doesn't work at all, and I can't see a single reason why this is so loved :s MORE THAN LOREEN!

I like her live performance, the way the song builds, the way she used the lyrics in the performance etc. etc. And the intro is much less aggressive live. :P
