I'm excited

Me too :D I am so happy Erna is back and it looks like a very interesting line-up.

I am a bit sad they don't spread their semi finals out over several weeks like they used to though.

Ranks:

Erna - I put this on top just for the intro xD Oh good her voice is pretty too.
Jogvan & Stefania - This is pretty boring as well, it has "ok" bits but I hope for better in this NF. This is a radio song, not an ESC song. But a bland radio song. I can see it being camped up heaps for ESC like Denmark 2010 xD
Magni - Better than expected :o This needs English.
Yohanna - Sweet song but nothing really special, but not as bad as people say. But also would fail so badly in ESC, it's like Swiss 2011. It picks up near the end but I don't think that would save it. Sounds like the Tangled soundtrack or something.
Klara - I don't like this much except in bits where she does the big notes.
Unnar - This is cheap, I mainly like the dudududududu bits.
Svavar & Hreindís - This is also a really sweet song, but doesn't hit me!
Birgitta - We've had this song already I swear xD Well it's got some nice keychanges (Nicolas? I think xD), but meh as a song.
Halli - Easy listening but pretty boring, sweet enough I suppose.. I got bored before the end.
Edda - Rubbish.
Sylvia - Ew.
Eyþór - Oh I fell asleep...

Most songs are good so I think my rankings could change easily.

Halli Reynis - Vinátta - Nice and gentle, unremarkable and probably won't win.
Jogvan og Stefanía - Til þín - A tad bit cliche, but I could totally go for this if I would see it live.
Yohanna - þú - Much worse than Nótt and Is It True? but I was CRAZY about those songs, this is a nice song, a tad unremarkable but her live vocals would probably make up for it.
Klara Ósk Elíasdóttir - Skuggamynd - I totally forgot I was listening to this song, I don't know if that's a good or bad thing xD But I believe I like it and could grow on me heaps
Edda Viðarsdóttir - Sá sem lætur hjartað ráða för - Meh
Birgitta - Meðal andanna - I'd have fallen for this in 2009, these days.. not so much.
Svavar Knútur Kristinsson and Hreindís Ylva Garðarsdóttir Hólm - Lífið snýst - Now for something completely different. OMG DID HREINDÍS DYE HER HAIR!?!?!? I loved her in 2009, she should have gone for the same kind of traditional song again. I mean this is cute and I love her voice but Vornótt was divine <3
Magni Ásgeirsson - Ekki líta undan - You'd expect more after such an intro. Just like his previous songs it just goes on and on.. I might like this one best because of the dramatic orchestration xD
Unnur Eggertsdóttir - Ég syng! - 80s meets 90s TV show theme about some teenage girl which refuses to grow up but is still innocent as could be.. or something xD
Sylvía Erla Scheving - Stund með þér - Ok. That's all.
Eyþór Ingi - Ég á líf - I really don't know what to think of this song, it kinda reminds me of My Heart Is Yours in terms of cheesiness even though I can understand very little of the lyrics but then there's these instrumentals and the melody is actually quite good too but there's still something very cheesy and unoriginal about it that bothers me.
Erna Hrönn Ólafsdóttir - Augnablik - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. YEAH.

birgitta is a let down

-----------------------
