After an initial announcement that the Armenian representative would be internally selected, Public Television of Armenia has now changed plans: As many high-quality proposals have been received, a national final will be organised after all, to be broadcast live on 2 March. Written by Marco Brey. Topics: news , national selection , Armenia , 2013 . Earlier this year, we reported that Armenia would internally select their representative for Malmö, with Sirusho being one of the most rumoured candidates. Today, the Armenian public broadcaster has re-drawn the plans. Gohar Gasparyan, the Head of the Armenian Delegation, explained ot Eurovision.tv: "Earlier AMPTV announced an internal selection, but as we continue getting numerous letters and songs we decided to give an opportunity for as many singers/authors as possible to perform live and be selected by the viewers and professional jury ensuring healthy competition." The application period starts on 22 January and it ends on 20 February. Entries complying with the rules of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest can be emailed to inter@armtv.com. The national final will be broadcast live on the First Channel of the Public Television of Armenia on 2 March. (eurovision.tv) |

It's going to be an internal selection after all xD Poor eurovision.tv having to change their information a thousand times even though they're the official site because the broadcaster can't make up their mind xD |

http://ogae.am/breaking-news-gor-sujyan-wi...sion-2013-malmo Gor Suyjan will represent Armenia in 2013, he used to be the lead singer of The Dorians, which was a band much rumoured to represent Armenia last year before they withdrew. |

Edit number 3, the reason he was supposed to be going solo was because the band didn't exist any longer but hey there they are. So it's Dorians now, but there's not much of a difference :P It just means fake music instruments, because it's still the same guy singing xD |
