700 euros is just too much I think, I can pretty much fly to Sweden from Australia for that. It's ok for people with proper jobs but for students earning hourly wages, not so much xD Although every single subject I take at uni costs like $1250 so UGH.

And 500 euros for the dress rehearsal sucks, it's not even the proper ESC, I wouldn't pay over 100 for that xD

Do not worry sara maybe she will go on tour in 2-3 years again closer to Milwaukee and have cheaper tickets for you to go. sucks she does not often come around you.

700 for ESC is going overboard. Even people with nice jobs purchasing these seems a little crazy to me. I wouldnt buy them.

Quoting someone, and his source is SVT:

Swedish Television has announced it is going back to basics for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Malmö.
Speaking in the daily Dagens Nyheter, executive producer Martin Österdahl says they will go back to the old tradition of having just one presenter, that will be more involved in the show.
"We believe more in the Oscars ceremony-type way of presenting", be told the paper. No presenter has yet been selected, he says.
He also added that SVT wants to move away from the recent tradition of huge LED light screens on the Eurovision stage, wanting a more intimate setting, but adds they are looking for the "next big thing".
"We think you can do more by going back to the original idea for the contest, getting people together, focusing more on the artists. It has become a bit too distanced, and that is to do with the size of it all" Österdahl adds.
The last Eurovision to have just one presenter was back in 1995, the recent tradition has been to have two or three.

oh good i liked oslo's atmosphere. enough with the led screen gimmicks. i'd rather see acts focus on their stage act and ambience lighting.

Well Oslo did look nice............. But I do enjoy pyros and fireworks so I hope they use them.
I think Germany made really good use of LEDs, that stage was amazing (like for Estonia)

well i hope they keep the pyros too. some of the LED stuff was very well done but to some degree it distracts me from what i want to see which is what is on the stage. and then you get mika using it as a gimmick and stuff like that.

i'm just really into a good stage act and i think you'll see more effort put into a decent stage display (aka your circus acts) :D

unless they go super old fashioned and then it will just be boring. <_<

Well if we get stuff like Moldova's act in 2012 that will be really good :D
It was smart of Mika's team to use it like that though.

I really didn't like Oslo thought the stage was bland and boring and this sounds like Oslo so I'm not pleased :P And I think they're heading in this direction because they didn't need the LED screens themselves this year with their act so they're making everyone do that this year. And one host could be dramatic for example if I'd have to spend the night watching Stefan Raab and Stefan Raab only, I'd die.

I want that lady who did the skit in MF to do it.

And well I do find it a bit pretentious of them to try and act all posh and sophisticated.

I like the idea of 1 host :)

I did not like the Oslo stage very much, but this one may look very different even though it is going to be LED-free as well.

I didn't like oslo stage but i like the non-led atmosphere and smaller more cozier performances so as long as it's not some 90's snooze fest, i'm into it. after all, ruslana didn't need LED screens either.

so i'm kind of into this all you need is some black dude with a mohawk, a woman who looked like she just crawled out of her nomad tent and some snow to create magic. :D

As long as there's an element stage show and customisation it will be fine. If the stage looks the same for everyone it will suck. And I hope they don't focus too much on trying to be classy and make Moscow look bad so they can be all look how much classier we are
