I like Cyprus in 2009!I was really surprised when I listened to it because it is a really mature song !I mean, most of the songs from that year except Sweden and Cyprus were more "childish" . Latvia in 2003 is OK. San Marino in 2013 is number 11 on my ranking of the 2013 contest ...Well,we have different taste! |

I also think your English is very good, you don't need to worry about that :P Welcome to the forum, Kosmas is also Greek so he will be happy :D I'm Dara and I'm from Australia. You might actually be the youngest person! Callum and Sanderijn were youngest before I think (actually maybe more around 16 I'm forgetting xD). I don't like Malta 2013 so I was so surprised THAT made you love JESC, but I'm glad all the same xD |

I'm Kosmas, hello. :D Welcome to the forum and hope you stick along, it's been lonely being the only Greek for seven years. xD Especially consdering the fact that there are like a million Dutch-speaking members. :shifty: Your English is very good, and you'll see how quickly you'll get more fluent the more you communicate in English. A forum like this where you can talk about things you love is the perfect place to practice. :D If I can offer some advice though, you should get used to typing a space between full stops/commas and the following word, otherwise your text becomes a bit difficult to read. :) Your taste is okay, you like some good songs. :P And 2014 definitely was a good year, I liked almost every song as well. :D Greece in JESC, huh? :hide: Not sure if you heard it before, but (especially since 2006) ERT never took it seriously. And concidering the current circumstances in Greece, I don't see us returning anytime soon. I hope I get proven wrong though, hopefully 2016 will be a better year in a lot of ways. |

Thank you for your reply! I'm happy that I'm not the only person from Greece here! Well, about Greece in Junior Eurovision: I'm sure we won't return in the following years, not only because of our financial problems but also because we don't care about JESC. I don't remember people in Greece talking about Junior Eurovision when we used to take part. Also, after listening to our entries I realised that we should not return! I mean, most of our entries were bad! |

That's exactly right. :D Interest and media coverage about JESC was widespread only during the first couple years, afterwards JESC fell into obscurity and became ERT's tool for satisfying their sponsors (that 2007 final...) I hoped the (quite popular) "Music School" TV show by Mega would re-ignite people's interest at child singers, but obviously it didn't. :( Yeah, most of our songs were bad. However, Tora Einai I Seira Mas was awesome, and if it wasn't such a strong year internationally we could even have won. :D |

I can't understand how did we choose that song in 2007... I am sure that there were better songs in our national final! I don't like the fact that in Greece everyone thinks that children souldn't be on TV. What is so bad about shows like The voice kids? |

At the time there was a rumor going around that Ifantis had something to do with Made in Greece winning. ;) Not sure if it's true since I don't know if the two Ifanti girls are directly related to him, but it certainly was interesting, and their victory disgusted quite a lot of loyal JESC fans. I distictly remember commenting on a Greek eurovision site (eurovisionmania.com), where there was a flood of negative comments under the article reporting our last place in JESC 2007. In fact, this was the first time I posted on the internet about JESC, and it was to rant about Made in Greece. xD So I'm kind of grateful for them. :P As for your last question Ariana... we are so backwards and old-fashioned, that's why. There are nutters who actively loathe children being shown on television and, if there is the slightest bit of competition between children, ESR will fine their asses off. :teehee: |

Hello! My name is Adelina, I am 14 years old and I'm from Germany. My story how I discovered JESC is quite funny: 3 years ago, I was looking up some information about ESC on Wikipedia. Then, I saw a link which led to a page about JESC and I started to like it because the children who participate are at the same age as I am. But it's sad that Germany didn't take part at least one time. |
