Well, it's been three days since tooth number 32 came out. it was my bottom wisdom tooth on my right side. I've barely eaten a thing and just stopped bleeding today. The gaus is now out, but my whole mouth doesn't feel right. I'm in pain like I've been jokingly smacked by a welterweight boxer and my whole face just feels...wrong! This sucks! I can't chew properly and I keep feeling the missing spot where the tooth was! Food gets in the hole and my mouth doesn't feel the same! When will this go away? When will me mouth and chewing be back to normal??? The pain has been worse the last two days and swelling is still there! This SUCKS! HELP!! |

I'd like to offer words of soothing... But I'm afraid that's kinda hard for me to do. I suggest you wait until some wiser members post their responses, because I'm useless...

You have to be careful, a pulled tooth is wide open to infection. If it keeps getting worse, then that could be the problem. Normally you can feel at least some improvement after a couple of days. Call the dentist. |

I'm with Steve on this one. Several years ago, in preparation for braces, I had four teeth removed plus two wisdom teeth that had to be surgically removed (incision in the gum, drill through the bone, break the wisdom teeth, suck the broken pieces out of my skull). I was feeling OK within a day or two. Not great, but not in any excruciating pain or anything. You need to have the extraction site checked out, sounds like you could be getting an infection. |

I don't know. I'm watching it. It's just uncomfortable right now. Don't think it's getting worse. I just hate the feeling overall. My mouth doesn't feel like my mouth and I get food stuck in it...and come to think of it, I keep getting headaches and feeling crappy. Yeah, don't worry! I'm watching it! The oral surgeon was good as hell, very good from what I've heard of other people's experiences. Just forced down a meal. Now I'm headed back to bed. |

Dang... Sorry to hear that, man. Hope you start feelin' better soon! I don't think I've ever even had so much as a toothache before... So I really can't say I know what you're going through.
