strong materialist Posts: 23 Group: Member Member #39 Joined: April 21, 2006	Hi, I signed up to this forum just yesterday after hearing Joe appear on the Hellbound Alleee radio show, and perusing his website for a week. I know another new member here (Ruhan) from another online forum. I don't have a tale of my fall from the clergy like he does, I've never even been a Christian. The closest I've come to believing anything was during a brief flirt Christianity were I considered a deistic veiw of the religion, but couldn't really take the plunge and surrender to faith (never have as yet). These days I'm a pretty strong materialist, it's not that I'm rigid in my thinking, I just have never seen any philosophy as consistent. I wasn't really raised atheist or theist, my parents just had no interest in religion, and I really think that is the way it should be. My parents told me nothing about God or religion and when I came into contact with religious beliefs I was able to assess them myself and say "that ain't right". I find it very interesting to read stories like Joe's, I have never been in a position of faith and to read about the experience of a highly fundamentalist faith is quite fascinating (and disturbing). I look forward to participating in what appears to me to be a very mature forum.
