I used to play in bands, ooh... years ago, got tired of lugging the bulky gear around though. So now it's just an occasional jam in the nearest practise rooms with some guys I work with. Blows the cobwebs out. |

The answer to that is, possibly a mixture of both. It could be that The Monkey's Paw is but a sublimation of a reality that most refuse to accept, much in the same way that Steppenwolf is a brief insight into the nature of being. Have you ever met anyone who has read that book, who does not associate their own life with the main character? It would seem that insanity is a norm in the manifest world of desire. |
