World2 burns my eyes...I am not playing it because I just can't stand how lame it is. Why do we no longer have peace treaties and pacts? Just partners...and what the hell does that mean anyway. The fact that XXL only lets you make a logo is ridiculous and I think whoever buys it is crazy (no offense.) Even the best graphic you can draw with the logo tool likes like a 5 yr old drew it. And the GUI (user interface) is just horrid. Sven should have kept inselkampf what it is known for...a TEXT BASED browser game... |

cant help but agree-XXL is not as worthwhile as it was on world 1. And the interface aint nearly as good. Ill email sven if we all do. |

bumping due to the strange disappearance of threads from the forum.. i would like to see new servers for ik but w2 is not going to bring new blood into the game except the colour blind but who really wants them around? (i'm just joking i have nothing against colour blind people!) |

XXL gets you more than just a logo. It also gets you stats, schedules, no ads, extra space in your profile, and the ability to change your name. As far as I know, a lot of those things aren't on world 1. As for the interface, I'm not going to choose yet. I like the session ID update, I like that you build buildings elsewhere from your main house, I also like the space idea. I don't particularly like the alliance system (I still think 30 should be the max amount of members), but overall, I wouldn't say I hate it yet. Remember how much everyone hated world 1 when it came out? People just don't like change. Give it time and it'll be just as good if not better than world 1. |

xxl is the same as w1. i have to agree with what your saying. in some sense i dont hate it. i like some of the added features. but some of its terrible. plus sides of w2 - i dont mind the overview look in some ways its better but i think it may be hard to play on hand held devices. i like the session system friends system is better in some ways. the fleet system looks like it will be better however no one is able to see what it actually does... the space system seems interesting i will have to see how this works out in the long run though. down side of w2 - the lack of colour... this sucks seriously.. you cant see players points in alliances you cant see players points on the map infact you cant see a isles points! cant archive messages the alliance button doesn't show topics. |

I don't think this is that bad. I honestly think there's too much color. I liked the fact that I could play it at work and nobody would question what I'm doing because it looks so boring.
At first I thought the same, but it could be an ok thing. Might make people not want to go to war for the added extra amount of war in planning. I don't like the fact that when you click on someones name, you can't see their isles. W1 is like that too though.
I agree, the whole map idea is strange. I liked the condense idea of 25 isles per ocean group. Will this server go up to 100:100:100?
Again, this could a deterring factor when considering a war. Might have to just spy it to know.
Meh, whatever. I use .txt files anyway.
I still haven't gotten over the fact that I loved the ridiculously random message board that the uk server had. Oh well. When it comes to the XXL issue, correct me if I'm wrong because I've never bought xxl, but does w1 xxl have scheduling? I can't remember, but I don't think the uk server had it. |
