The war chief yanked free his tulwar from its leather sheath, revealing a blade snapped ten inches above the hilt. He raised it over his head and bellowed, 'The Wickans! 'The Wickans! 'The Wickans!

And I'm...not.

Those who were having trouble logging in before will have the same problem, as I've found out. Whatever the problem is, it hasn't been fixed, despite it being reported over a week ago.

Too bad, looks like I'll be sticking to World 1.

I couldn't login to the test server and still can't login. I get an error when saving settings. Seems kinda unfair (But who said life was fair?).

It's a browser issue of some kind. I've found I can login and save that settings data in IE, but not in Firefox.

Once you've done that you can sign in in Firefox but you can't then do anything, you get an error message saying session expired or invalid. I think it's something to do with how the game uses cookies.

It may be that some settings in Firefox will allow you to play the game, perhaps a Firefox user who can play OK can confirm that or not. My settings are all perfectly normal so I've no idea what can be tweaked.

I won't use IE so if there's no way round this I won't be playing World 2. OTOH, I've now seen the layout for the first time and I agree it's absolutely horrible :D

EDIT: Try this - use IE to save your settings data, then delete ALL cookies from both IE AND Firefox. Also in Firefox, under Tools->Options->Privacy-> click on Execptions, then Remove All Sites. Then login again.

Doing all that worked for me. No doubt much of this was unnecessary but which part of it was the magic bullet, I couldn't say.

I can confirm Firefox 2.0 working. I had that problem once when I signed up for the beta and never since.

I originally signed up on Firefox on the Macintosh, it seems to work just fine. I log on using Safari at home and that works fine also.

I think the error is simply that Firefox wasn't accepting cookies, for one reason or another. It's likely due to a bad security certificate, or noscript if you have that installed.
