I will keep you posted of any further changes Date: Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 Time: 7:00PM Entry Fee: None! (Refunding whoever sent me gold) Prizes have been modified, please take a look ~~Entry Fees can be mailed to Coldasfire before the race Saturday.~~ Removed the entry fee, will refund whoever sent me gold beforehand. If you want to be a Referee instead, the only requirements are to have a Level 70 toon and a 100% speed mount. Specify in your post you want to be a ref instead of a runner. To sign up as a runner, make a post with the following format: Main: main's name Runner: tauren's name The Rules 1) All runners must be Level 1 Taurens. You can make them ahead of time to reserve a name, but no leaving the Tauren starting camp. There are no restrictions on Class/Gender. 2)Take whichever path you desire, as long as you can get yourself to the finish line. The path outlined in the map is probably the best route to take, but if you think you can get there faster via another route, go for it. 3) If you wish to gain a few levels whilst running, feel free to do so, but keep in mind Mep laughs at those who stop to level up. 4) No equipment/potions/food can be given to your Tauren beforehand. No logging off to another toon to send said Tauren stuff either. 5) Rezzing at a Graveyard is grounds for automatic DQ. Don't do it. 6) Taking Summons or a Portal to skip areas is also grounds for auto-DQ. 7) No asking for help from any non-runners. If you want to team up with other runners, feel free to, but remember: second place is just the first loser. 8) Horde helping you of their own accord is fine, but a continous bodyguard will be asked politely by the refs to stop. 9) Referees will not interfere with mobs of any sort, so don't expect help from them, even if you're getting ganked. Prizes 1st Place: 100g 2nd Place: 50g 3rd Place: 25g 4th Place: 10g All participants will get: Some Delicious Chocolate Cake (No, it isn't a lie!), and a few other things we've dug up. Since he is no longer lvl 1 he would be DQed I'm actually going to be dropping out as a runner this time, and going to be a Referee. (See below) Two weeks left, and we only have half of what we did last time. Still missing referees, since Kaun's account is inactive for a bit. Chances are this is probably going to get pushed back a week or two until we have around 7-10 people at the very least. I'm dropping out due to the fact I've ran the course on my 70 as a test to see if its even possible to make it that far without it being an extreme wipe fest. I'm happy to say it is runnable, but you'll die at least twice/thrice, guaranteed (not counting Badlands, but that shouldn't be any worse than Tanaris was)
