Guild Nirvana is aligned with the Luxons. Our goal is to be a place where having fun in game is the paramount concern.

We want to pursue all aspects of the game. Be it GvG/PvP/HoH/AB or PvE that you are interested in, our aim is to provide a community where like minded individuals can fully enjoy the aspects of Guild Wars that interest them most.

Guild Nirvana uses this forum to organise regular in-game activities and to allow members to plan their game-time so that they don’t miss out on the activities that they’d enjoy most. For this to work, all guildies need to be willing to actively participate in the forums.

The guild maintains a mature, friendly atmosphere and has some ground rules which all guildies need to be in agreement with. It is run on a democratic basis with decisions taken by the guild member

We hope that this gives you a flavour of our guild. If you are interested in finding out more, please register on our forum and visit the Join Guild Nirvana sub-forum which has more details about our aims, the application process and is the place to post any questions that you have, or an application to join!

Thanks for reading this and have fun! :D

Alliance Nirvana applications

If you are considering joining the alliance, please look at the “Aims of the Guild Nirvana Alliance” announcement and if our aims are a good match with yours, register and create an application thread in the Join the Nirvana Alliance section of the forum.

Please introduce yourselves, and give us some background information, this should include:

1. your guild's own goals and approach to game play
2. the current number of members and of officers (allied guilds should be at least fifteen in size)
3. how many in your guild were online during the past week and which timezone is best for you
4. your recruiting policies and GW servers (we use the Euro servers)
5. what aspect of GW you play most, (are you an all-round guild, or do you specialise in a particular field, such as GvG)
6. how do you usually plan events for your members to participate in
7. your use of ventrilo or teamspeak
8. whether you have an active forum and how you feel about using the alliance forums here on a regular basis
9. anything special you are looking for in an alliance

We will get back to you as soon as we can – the whole application process should take somewhere between two to seven days before the invite. Full membership after the initial trial period is voted on by the alliance councillors.

We ask that each new ally considers the first month in the alliance as a trial period – it takes time to get to know each other. If there is good reason within that time, either side can suggest that there is not a good match between us, without hard feelings. From the alliance side this would only be done through the council which all guilds participate in.

We would like to organise an online meeting in a Guild Hall or alternatively may ask you to invite one of our members into your guild for a few hours, to meet your guildies, chat with them and answer any questions they may have. We are happy to do the same for you if you'd like an invite to meet us.

Please consider which of your officers or members would be proposed as alliance council members. Guilds with memberships up to 29 have two council seats. Membership in the 30s allows three seats, in the 40s four seats etc. Your guild leader must take one of your councillor seats and brings the names of other officers and members to become councillors.

If all goes well at the meeting and we'd all like to go ahead, we'll be happy to invite you into the alliance as soon as you have at least five of your members registered on this alliance forum and you've let us know who your alliance councillors are going to be. They take their seats immediately and join in all Council Chamber votes except votes for guild membership (until your guild becomes a full alliance member).

We ask that you encourage all your members to sign up on the alliance forum and to look at the alliance code of conduct. We maintain a list of the alliance members in the alliance chat and we can set up a forum section for your guild's private use.

By the end of the trial month we expect to have got to know you better both on the forum and in the game. We believe that an active forum is important - will this work for your guild? We also organise alliance activities on the forum or at a regular time/place in-game. During your trial month we would like you to have joined in by organising your first alliance activity, which will (of course) be a resounding success! :D

Feel free to post any questions that you have (in your application thread please) and we'll do our best to answer them!
