So, while surfing the net recently, I stumbled across a demo video of this game. It looks like great fun: it's a relatively standard sci-fi RTS game (with nice graphics), but with the addition of a time travel mechanic. More accurately, there are two time travel mechanics. Firstly, the player can move back and forth through time and manipulate his units at any point. This allows him to e.g. move his units in the past to anticipate a "surprise" attack in the present. Secondly, individual units can travel back and forth through time. This is more costly, but allows you to duplicate your army so that your units are fighting side-by-side with their past selves (for example). If you're interested, there is a lot more info on their site, for example on how changing the past affects the present, and on the subject of paradoxes (possible, but rare unless deliberate, and never useful when compared to doing things the normal way). When this game comes out, and if my computer can run it of course, I'm getting it for sure. |

It does, doesn't it? I love time travel in all its forms (which, seeing as it's fictional, isn't as much as you'd think), so I'd buy this game as soon as I get a computer that can run it (The gameplay videos of the alpha version make me envy the developers. But only a little bit. 3D is hard). |
