I want to know more about the head trauma.

And how you are a 17 year old farmer. Is Canada really that primitive as to still have people living in basic agricultural communities with vocational learning and one of six professions to enter as an adult?

Farmers are scum of the world. They're the only people forcing me to have farmers make my food.

It would be extremely efficient, cost-effective, easier, safer, and greener to grow food en masse in multi-level hydroponic skyscrapers. Eliminate all necessity for pesticides, genetic engineering (except crop yield), topsoil loss, etc. With hydroponics the nutrition could be controlled exactly, and we could probably induce food to be more than it is naturally nutritious. Then there is the matter of erosion which would no longer be worrisome, or the destruction of rainforests for farmland, or the need for most large machinery and workers, and it would be very tangible to cure the entirety of global hunger within 20 years by doing this on a large scale.

Fresh water, of course, being so abundant that we can just use it without any thought at all. And sunlight being infinitely penetrative.

Because I was clearly imagining this in a giant stone obelisk, wherein we would use absolutely no natural sunlight. How about a very tall building with very advantageous design to allow maximum exposure to sunlight? It's the harvest moon strategy: either shape the field so that you can get to all parts, or just ignore a center point and use it for something else.

Or, hey, reverse osmosis isn't hard to do. Oh yeah, and hydroponics uses less water than farming because there isn't any runoff. Learn kthx.

well in the real world we dont currently use your system. so until they do you should respect farmers because they make your food and without them you wouldn't be alive.

if you want to hate on farmers fine, make your own food

I think farmers are pretty damn brave, doing what they do. I know I'd flee to the city the second I found out about it, if I were born into a farm.

In inferior amurikkkan terms, about 6'4''. Exact value seems to fluctuate.

You unfortunate bastard.

I can eat Fudgee-o's, though. Also, golden oreos. Well, I can eat normal oreos, but I feel like shit after so I usually resist for a few minutes before giving in.

I'm not huge on hockey (relatively, of course) though the Canucks are probably my team of choice, simply because I like the Sedin twins.

I was apparently one of those really really smart kids, and I had a really good memory apparently. Now I'm average and below average respectively.

17 is only grade 11/12, man. I work on my family farm, so I don't see any reason to go find a job at Mcdonalds or anything.

Magus

How did you crush your finger off?

When I was five my parents went to a superbowl party with some friends, and one of the other kids is one of my good friends to, so we were both there. Also, my little brother. They had this glass table that had all the pop and beer and chips and stuff on it. It was a makeshift table though, just a large glass disc (idk why they'd have something like that) ontop of some pedastal thingy in the middle, the two not really connected or anything. So all the shit was in the middle, so that the table didn't tip over. Because it was in the middle, me, my friend, and my bro couldn't reach the stuff, so we leant on the table to try and get some chips (beer). Needless to say, it tipped over. didn't break though, simply crushed off my left ring finger tip. I got taken to the hospital, they sewed it back, all's good. Except I type without it and I suck ass at Guitar Hero.

"Nintendo is better than Sony, therefore anyone who owns a sony console is the scum of the world."

"White spot tastes better than McDonalds, therefore anyone who eats at Mcdonalds is the scum of the world."

Etc.

Go ahead. Oh wait, you don't have the money. Oh wait, neither do the farmers who don't use hydroponics. It's not exactly perfect, either. Disease spreads fast and rapes a lot of stuff. A lot of the hydroponic'd crops taste like crap, too. For example, Richmond (my city) is a delta, there's a lot of clay in the soil. Clay makes some things harder to grow, but makes for awesome taste in things like carrots or potatoes. Alberta has softer soil, which makes for easier growing on most things, but less flavour on a lot of root crops.

imo Hydroponics are pretty cool, so is Harvest Moon.
