Okay, think of what little patience I have as, oh, I don't know, your virginity. You always thought it would be there, until that night Junior Year when you were feeling a little down about yourself and your pal Kevin, who just wanted to be friends, well, he dropped by and he brought a copy of About Last Night and a four-pack of Bartels & James and woo hoo hoo, it was gone forever - just like my patience is now. ~ Dr. Perry Cox

Who the hell... put bouillon cubes in the shower head!?! Huh? Hm, did you do it? Hm? Did you? If it happens again, I will wait in my S.U.V., blast me some speed-metal -- 5.1 surround sound, heavy on the bass -- and someone... will be getting... mowed... down. ~ Dr. Hooch

Boy, they really have been SCUBAing out the Lego name on video games a lot lately. I guess toys aren't as profitable anymore.

This would almost be acceptable if the songs were all somehow Lego related.

Like Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall.

That would actually be pretty epic.

You know what Lego needs to do?

DROP THE FUCKING SHITTY AND EXPENSIVE AS FUCK LICENSES AND GO BACK TO MAKING AWESOME SETS THAT DON'T COST AN ARM AND A LEG.

Seriously, I dropped Legos when I was younger, despite loving the shit out of them because the sets got to cost way too fucking much because they had to cover big name licenses. Especially Star Wars.

Remember the old stuff, like the space/Mars explorer line, and the ocean sub shit? That was fucking awesome. Now we have Clone Wars era drop ships and other faggotry.

Except the Slave-1 set. That was epic.

But anyway, if I want Lego Star Wars, I'd go for something huge and grand, like the Death Star, or a Star Destroyer (I've seen that shit; it's the most glorious things ever), not the ball breakingly expensive sets that don't offer me anything except a drop ship.

I think the biggest problem with license sets is that for all that money, you only get the actual thing it's meant to build, while the older sets had instructions, or atleast images of OTHER shit you could build with the set. And on top of that, what goes with a Clone Wars era drop ship?

Yeah, other Star Wars shit. But back in the day, even if it was a shuttle, you could toss in other sets and make it into a huge, awesome and flowing scene; with license stuff the more basic things don't flow; you have to cut off your balls and sacrifice them to the gods for more money to buy more theme sets if you want that huge, flowing, epic feel.

tl;dr version: Stop it with the licenses, get back to the basics.

Yeah, I had a lot of fun when I was a kid looking at the images in the back of the manuals and making new stuff. Now they don't really encourage that.

my favorite snack is cornflakes

i never did the back of the manual other stuff you could do, i think i tried it once or twice but never could do it. sometimes it was like "you need this set to too" and i didn't have it.

i would just use all my mismatched stuff to make new stuff

I don't think I ever actually made any of the stuff in the back on the manuals, but it was fun to look at and to see them encourage kids to be creative.

I have stuff from all three of those and yes it kicks ass. Spaceships and underwater base! And they all look awesome!
