You guys must have shitty computers if it crashes all the time on you.

Except for Xeno, who's just a bitch for whom one crash is a million.
No, it's just because Fallout 3 is full of bad coding that prevents it from running half decently on a considerable amount of computers. This, thanks to the idiots at Bethesda who partially fail at coding games.

I suppose you've got years of programming experience and would be able to identify these flaws.

Not really, but there are signs of programming flaws (such as the radio's conflicts with audio codecs).

But meh, can we please just end this here and discuss non-crash related things about Fallout 3? This isn't going anywhere.

You win and I apologize for exagerating with the "crashes every minute" and making a fuss out of this.

But Xeno is also right.

Also it never takes someone with a large amount of experience in the field to show that someone is doin it rong.

EX: Food critics. Most are/were not chefs. Hell, most can't even cook exceptionally well. They don't often know the nuances of exactly how to prepare a dish, because like code, how you approach it varies with who you are and how you learned. But they know the signs of doing it right.
EX: Video game blogs and TV shows. None of them, so far as I've found, has made a video game. But you certainly know when there are flaws. And they usually didn't even go to college, or study game design, or even program in Java or something.
EX: General practitioners of medicine. They've never directly given someone one of hundreds of diseases deliberately (I'd hope), but they certainly have a decent success rate of diagnosis. But they still can't pick out the particular strain of a particular ailment.

If most people had lots of responsible sex without social fear, then they'd probably lose interest cause it's not that great. Or maybe everyone would just end up awesome at it.

That doesn't really count as making a video game, because there's not a whole lot you can do wrong as far as actual coding though. You don't have to deal with dynamic situations much, for starters. >_>

My friend's letting me borrow this tomorrow.

It may not run well on my computer, but it's still worth a shot.

No. Why would they? Who would care? "Sorry sir, but you're eating grapes. You're buying $100 worth of food, but these grapes, they're very important. I'm paid minimum wage but you simply have to stop eating those so you can pay the right price for them. Because it is my civic duty to stop grape-eaters everywhere."

No one would do a thing, in fact I usually eat something while shopping. Sometimes it's a bag of potato chips or something, which sometimes I also don't pay for. SOMETIMES GOOD-BYE IS A SECOND CHANCE

It's also common knowledge that Bethesda fails at bug testing and optimized coding.

These kind of patches are always useful.
Okay, think of what little patience I have as, oh, I don't know, your virginity. You always thought it would be there, until that night Junior Year when you were feeling a little down about yourself and your pal Kevin, who just wanted to be friends, well, he dropped by and he brought a copy of About Last Night and a four-pack of Bartels & James and woo hoo hoo, it was gone forever - just like my patience is now. ~ Dr. Perry Cox

Who the hell... put bouillon cubes in the shower head!?! Huh? Hm, did you do it? Hm? Did you? If it happens again, I will wait in my S.U.V., blast me some speed-metal -- 5.1 surround sound, heavy on the bass -- and someone... will be getting... mowed... down. ~ Dr. Hooch

The dynamic situations bit is particularly important here -- the biggest flaw a standard point-and-click programmer might be able to fix in F3 would be citizens in Megaton randomly walking off ledges to their deaths (>________>), and while this is a serious error, it's nothing compared to the random freezes after two hours of wandering the Wastelands (and thus no auto-save), etc.

Frankly, for some, Fallout 3's programming errs might make it unplayable. Morrowind was this way for me. But Fallout 3, should one be able to get going with it and not run into fatal errors, is easily one of the best games ever made. It got a hell of a lot of hype from winning 2008 GOTY, but it's outlasted the hype, IMO.

RO in general is just pretty much fail, because like every Korean game, they're no remote sense of balance and to do anything you have to be a griefer to others. That's how it is with their shooters, their MMOs, and pretty much everything. For all I know, you might have to stab people to buy produce at their markets over there, only to find out the cashier is wielding a gun and thus makes off with your fruit.
