GhebFE is not your easy ol' FE8. It's harder, very much. And it's not just all fads. It has an actual story. Allthought it's mostly just an excuse to rip through everything with Gheb and Glass. It brings several new things to the table besides different characters and story. And well, it's pretty much a whole new game, what FE8 should've been. FE8 should've been about Gheb after all. I warn you, this will be updated out of whims. I've read a lot that Gheb has balance issues, well of course it has balance issues, it's still being developed, that's why I need people to play it and complain. I enjoy making it, you guys enjoy playing it. Also, you must know that as I hack, I play it too. Most of you have played it in Normal, I actually hack it in Hard mode. To play a perfect chapter in GhebFE requires save states and patience, lots of them. I'll be using this as a log to address the balance issues. For now, I'll only post the Tier List so far: Top Tier: These units WILL KILL everything and basically never die. Renault Kiwi Duessel Middle High: These units are highly recomended. Their reasons to be here vary Lyon McCartney Glass Fargus Ai-Ke Rori-chan Gerik Batta Hans Middle: When trained, these units will be very useful. They're not hard to train and are sturdy enough. Vanessa Denrei Cormag Colm Dart Violet Gheb Moulder L'arachel Karla Anna Knoll Tethys Amelia Middle Low: Now these guys are a little pain to use, but can become good. Glen Marisa Marcus Novala Ewan Ross Low: Even with training they wont be as good. Riev Caellach Selena Garbage: Sorry Tana. Tana |

Whew, that was a marthon. I did a balance run, and I can proudly say that everyone now has a chance to become a good character, and Gheb is appropiately Top tier now. Now for some minor strategies: Gameplay Spoilers - Very Detalied - Based off the upcoming v.69 patch. Spoiler: click to toggle Comments on Characters: Gheb: Horseback and Armored units are abundant in this game, and Gheb's Raep Her will be your saving grace constantly until it breaks. With moderated use it'll last long enough for you to get a new one in Ch9. As for Gheb himself, he gets to use Bows as well, and that is bad-ass. Train him on Bows early in the game, you'll need them. Gheb is not the fastest but using his manly con, he will double a lot of units. Gheb's stats are superbly balanced, if I say so myself, and only his Res ends up lagging. His HP is just godly. Amelia: The reverse-jeigan, she's quite useful. Her Mastur Bait is great, and you may forget that it's super effective against flying units. With moderated use it'll last till Ch8. As for her stats she's average. She has great Speed and Skill, and her high Movement rate will prove very useful early game. I've yet to promote her, but her branches: Pallies or Rangers, will both take full advantage of her better Speed and Skill stats. |

Ch2 This is another pretty systematic chapter. Gheb and Caellach should move to their max distance, Moulder should get the Red Gem, Tana should get the Tea. Vanessa can quickly pick up Cormag. On the next turn, have Caellach Take then Drop Cormag off of Vanessa, Vanessa, free of any burden should take Riev and come back, then Tana flies and Take/Drops Riev and flies away. Have Gheb talk to Cormag, Cormag to Riev, and you have your whole team assembled before you know it. Now the next turn is more annoying. Have Riev attack the nearest Brigand, as one should've moved into your range. Move Cormag to the forest near the Brigand reinforcements that come out of the mountains to your left. Keep Amelia on a forest as well, move Caellach and Gheb closer and keep Tana and Vanessa close to each other. Wait for your enemy to approach. There should be 3 Brigands in range now. Riev should make the first move on one of them as they wont retaliate, then send Cormag to attack any of the Brigands on the left, and Caellach to attack the Brigand on the south. The Brigand on the south should go down on Caellach's attack. Have Amelia and Gheb attack the Brigand that remains. They will have terribly low hit percentages but that Brigand wont cause any problems. Now the whole Brigand gang is on range. One of the Brigands should attack and get countered as well as the Archer. That wont be much of a problem. Riev should again go for the first move on the nearest Brigand, finish that one with Gheb. Cormag should deal with the cornered Brigand. Then Cellach with the Archer. He should end up on the castle tile. Keep the rest where they are. This is gonna be the second-to-last turn if all goes well. All of the enemies should be in range of your entire arsenal. Riev should deal the first attack. Ceallach should go against Bone, then Gheb. Bone should go down afterwards. If you followed all this, you should have one or two enemies remaining, and they should be no trouble really. If the Archer is still lingering, move the fliers away. Either way, take on the remaining Brigand with Cormag. Last turn, only one enemy should be left. If you set up a flier close enough, you can try to take the Begh Seamin from the south town. Either way, take youre entire arsenal to take on the last unit, Riev or Cormag first, and there you go. 7 Turns. |
