In the Mazinger Z OP, Mazinger is described as 'Kurogane no Shiro', Iron Castle. Come think of it, Kuro and Shiro means black & white, could this be some... Uh, i dunno, lol about Mazinger Z being black and white? I mean, purely... Not grammatically, but do the Japanese do things like that? Out of curiosity. |

Kurogane(remember the battleship) means iron. Hagane and shirogane mean other metals too. Kuro means black when used on it's own mostly In japanese, certain kanji that mean words of their own, when used together mean something which may or may not be entirely different. |

I know, Kurogane means Black Metal, Shirogane means White Metal, etc, but I meant in pure matters of speak. |

I doubt it. From what I've understood, they'd just think you weird if you made connections like that. Kuro may mean black, but kurogane is iron. |

I think it's just a coincidence. It's best not to think about stuff like this too much when it comes to Japanese. :P |

I thought so too. I just came to think about it a few days ago. |

For example: It would be like thinking 'coincidence' had something to do with money, cause there is "coin" in it. >.>; |

More like thinking 'window' has anything to do with 'wind'. Because it's the origin of the word, but no longer has anything to do with it. |

Then there's the stuff with Coin in Coincidense not sounding at all like "Coin". |
