I was perusing the FE10 board on GFAQs, and I got to thinking: the series has a great gameplay base to build and expand off of, but next to nothing (aside from supports, which is really just a love child of the leadership and lovers systems in FE4) has actually been added over the years since FE5. One example of something they could add is teamwork. It only makes sense for units to perform better if they're more confident and working together, right? It'd work a bit like supports, but enemies would get the bonuses too. I guess this is kind of like leadership in FE4, but all units should affect each other. Another thing that could definitely be expanded on is biorhythm. It should be more like a fatigue system where your units don't perform as well if they're fighting too much. FE5 had something like this, but it's definitely something that could be expanded on. So... yeah. Anyone agree with me? Not bashing FE here, but it feels like it has a LOT of untapped potential. |

I really don't know. Maybe it's just me, but the two examples you gave seems to me like... small details, not much more. I think the bulk of the FE system is the core, and that works very well already. |

It needs LAZAHS. I'd like to see stuff like ballistae and ships expanded upon a bit. The return of magic/weapon classes would be nice, too. I'd also like more pre-promoted units to be viable units. As for new things... hmm, well, maybe a charge bonus for cavalry units that are using lances. |

Hmm, good idea. I like that.
I don't really have a problem with this. Many are actually pretty good. They also tend to have higher growths lately. |

This is why I prefer FE4/5 to the others. FE6 just completely screwed the difficulty of FE5, FE7 and FE8 screwed it even more. FE6 screwed the skills system, FE7 was the same and FE8 screwed/somewhat improved it. FE6/7/8 had supports, but that is just a love child of the leadership and lovers systems in FE4, like gringe said. Uh, I will stop babbling now. |

I hope that FE10 isn't god damn ugly like FE9. Seriously, Generals. Could always try adding more weapons, and another triangle. A multiplayer similar to campaign. Or maybe a co-op, where one player can play as the other phase. Some generic faceless units on your team, and some faces on the enemy. |

Multiplayer using tactics, instead of just throwing two random units at eachother, would be nice. I dunno if this was in FE9, as I've yet to play it... |
