You know what's odd? Near the middle of the game, I was pretty sure Magus and Joe were both citizens. >_> |
| Seriously though, Shrimp. | |

OK, I'll get the clues up in a second, but here was my chain of thought when choosing a few people for their position. Magus, the godfather- Here I wanted someone with a knack for staying in the game late, but for some reason always gets ignored as a power player, even though he finds a lot of clues, so if he couldn't find clues, it wouldn't draw attention to him. Joe, a mafioso- after seeing him last game as a civilian and doing so well, I really wanted to see him as a mafioso, but my choosing him really didn't matter much since he would have been the first person the rng chose to be mafia if he wasn't already eliminated there. Moonies, the vigilante- I half expected the citizens to get bored about two or three rounds into the game and randomly go "Lynch Moonies!", so I decided I would be less than nice if they turned to obvious random lynchings and slap them in the face for it. All the other positions were done by the rng, but don't take it hard if you aren't one of those people. There were quite a few people I wanted to give positions, but there weren't enough positions to go around. |

The opinions expressed in the above post are totally and completely correct. If you disagree with them, you are wrong, there's just no other way to put it. I've seen knights in armor panic at the first hint of battle. And I've seen the lowliest, unarmed squire pull a spear from his own body, to defend a dying horse. Nobility is not a birthright. It's defined by one's actions. -Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

>_> You guys are really overblowing that. I just happened to scroll past rnn's sig, saw something about face breaker, and read the whole thing. Anyone could have done it; I just got lucky. |

Here the clues all pointed toward Joe, as an old person (no offense meant, it's just hard to find a way to describe someone with the name Joe). The cane and pizza box did it in an obvious manner, but the steps not as much. All I have to say here is who takes small steps? Old people take small steps.
This one was a bit difficult to do with Fen doing the killing because I didn't want to make any obvious wolf references, so instead I turned to the mythological side of the name. The first clue is a reference to Ragnarok, in which Fenrir is said to eat Odin, and I imagine it would take quite a large appetite to eat a god. The second one was mostly me poking a bit of fun at you guys, but I figured I should probably throw in a clue. The first letter of each line spells the word "Angrbooa", the name of Fenrir's mother in Norse mythology. And as I said during the game, the oranges are a reference to “The Godfather”
This time the killer was Fen, and again, the main clue was the food. The other clue pointed to the wolf-like aspect of the killer. Wolves are often portrayed as very quiet and graceful animals, so I put this one in.
Honestly, I thought this was the easiest clue of all to get. He came, he saw, he conquered. Who has a sig that mentions that? kippy of course. This night is also the one where Moonies ran out of bullets, just so you guys know.
Well, at this point I had started to like the fire axe theme, so I stuck with it and used it again. The only clue here was the old part, since you guys had still missed every clue up until this point in the longer stories, so I figured I'd try a short one with minimal possible details to get wrong. |

That is what I'm thinking... >_>; Anywho, I did pick up on the old-idea, with Joe, although no one gave it much validity. |

wow, no offense rnn, but those were some pretty obscure clues. Especially those F3NR1L ones. Wolves quiet and graceful? Food refrence to Ragnarok? First line of each letter spelling the name of the mother of the alter-ego of the killer in actual japanese mythology? That's kinda obscure. One of the things I realized while GMing is that clues can be interpreted multiple ways. Whenever I wrote a clue, it seemed obvious to me, but the citizens didn't see it. I wrote more obvious clues, and people liked it better. I do have to say, the old clue was a good one. But the other stuff? very obscure, not so much good. Still, for a first effort, it sure beat mine, so good job. |

And rnn's case that it wasn't so obscure just crumbled. |
