Heather Mills Signs Up To ITV's Dancing On Ice (Earning A Figure Of Six)

By Katie Nicholl

Heather Mills has signed up for ITV’s Dancing On Ice for a six-figure fee. The move comes after the success of Sir Paul McCartney’s 41-year-old ex-wife on Dancing With The Stars in America two years ago. 'Heather has been looking to launch her UK TV career – and is delighted to have negotiated the biggest fee of all the contestants,' said a mole.

Heather left judges speechless in the US version of Strictly Come Dancing when one of her routines included a back-flip despite wearing a prosthesis. But in another episode, she laughed off an embarrassing tumble towards the end of a samba routine. The former model was eliminated after six weeks in the competition.

It has been reported that Heather has garnered the help of a professional ice skater to give her lessons before she rehearses. The animal activist has also been building her vegan food business this year, opening restaurant 'VBites' in a former fish cafe in Hove. The mother of one has said that she hopes to challenge people's perceptions of vegan food.

Well I really should've guessed you'd feel that way, given that she's quite probably the least popular woman (criminals and politicians aside) alive today.

Yeah, you'll have to pardon me for not jumping on the bandwagon and hating some woman who I don't know, who pretty much seems like a decent human being whose only mistake was to cross one well liked public figure.

Yeah. Being a talentless, fake, money-grabbing ***** shouldn't cloud anyone's judgement.

'Oaks actor joins 'Dancing on Ice' lineup

Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson is to compete in this year's Dancing on Ice, DS can exclusively reveal. The 23-year-old, who plays troubled Ste Hay in the Channel 4 soap, recently embarked on an intensive training regime to prepare for ITV's annual ice dance contest.

A source told DS: "Kieron's already training hard and he's looking forward to competing against some of the great names in the lineup. "He has a lot to live up to, though, if he wants to follow in the footsteps of his close friend and former co-star Chris Fountain." Fountain - who portrayed Justin Burton in the show for six years until he quit in March - came second to Suzanne Shaw in the reality programme's 2008 run.

Richardson will line up alongside Eternal's Kelly Bryan, ex-Coronation Street star Danny Young, Holby City's Jeremy Sheffield and ex-footballer Peter Shilton. Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack, Danniella Westbrook, '80s popstar Sinitta, Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana and Heather Mills are also expected to take part. Speaking about the celebrity cast earlier this year, host Phillip Schofield said: "It's a great lineup. When I went down the list there were two or three times I went, 'Oh my God, you're serious'."

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV1 in January.
